Hi,
I just wanted some clarification on the Rick dias development. I have seen that the Rick Dias is based on the dowas custom and the gp02 but I have also seen I believe on this forum that it was originally said to be based on the galbaldy beta. Is this just a case of retconing of newer material?
Also I have seen some areas say the galbaldy beta only had a linear seat and didn’t have a panoramic cockpit but in zeta it is clearly shown to have a panoramic cockpit? Is this also just a retcon to downgrade an older suit?

You have to click on the pic to get the pdf.
So basically MS-09R -> MS-09R-II -> MS-09S -> MS-09SS (Dowas Custom, modified Dowas with Gundarium gamma alloy) -> RMS-099 Rick Dias
And since Rick Dias used the Block Build Up system for it's frame(which is the AE equivalent tech for movable frame) and that tech is from Gaza C's block structure(supposed to be a tech exchange with the panoramic cockpit), you can also say that it is somewhat related on the Gaza C as well.
I don't think there's info about it being based on Galbady beta though, after all, Galbady was developed by Pezun and not AE.
Re: Rick dias development
You forgot the Prototype Rick Dias from Z-MSV. That is the interim between Dowas Custom and Rick Dias.

Yep, that prototype is from M-MSV so its still part of the Rick Dias tree, just different source material which is the usual Gundam sources contradicting one another.

Re: Rick dias development
I think it is not a contradiction just because of omission.
Prototypes are usually omitted because it is clear that the unit is derived from it.
