So is anyone else watching this? What do you think?
I know this started as a Kickstarter based project, and finally gained an offical adaptation.
The plot is fast paced and a bit similear to Parasyte/Venom (main character paired with quirky sentient powerful being) and the character Aki has some Ryuko Matoi vibes (the whole show has some Trigger vibes in general), and basically deals with the main character Hikaru joing up with Mech Alien Alma in a fight against various forces trying to use Alma for theoir own purposes.
The show gets off to a strong start , and seems to be well recived audience wise, what does everyone else think?

Re: Mecha-Ude: Mechanical Arms
I finished watching the first episode of Mecha-ude a few minutes ago, and honestly... I'd call it pretty unremarkable. Generic. Boring. Uninspired.
Story-wise, it's a shounen anime form letter. The art style is pretty nondescript too. It resembles so many other current and recent shounen anime titles like My Hero Academia, Fire Force, Blue Exorcist, etc. that nothing about it stands out except the titular robot arms. Those just make the whole proceeding feel like it wants to be Kill la Kill, but without the frankly gratuitous fanservice or any of the personality.
I have a strong feeling this is a largely overlooked one-season wonder even considering many of the leading titles in its genre recently ended or are ending soon.
Looked up the campaign, and it looks like this one didn't even do that well on Kickstarter.
999 backers, and only about $68K raised? They didn't even hit all their goals. The top tier goals were ignored completely and the backer rewards are some pretty weak stuff.
