What did you guys think of these movies made for the 20th anniversary, I'll admit haven't paid attention to Digimon since Savers, the card game is booming, I haven't seen tri but it's produced by a different staff then the series, I did order the last movie as I did watch Kizuna and 02. I liked Kizuna but it contradicts the lore of the series and it is open ended enought for the 02 finale to happen. 02 was a better movie focusing on the first digi destinated with the 02 cast being good supporting characters and overall being a better one off despite not mentioning anything that happened in Kizuna. Tomoguchi directed them (who is doing the Bleach revival cour one was great but cour two felt like it needed better priority as they used overseas animation studios, cour 3 and 4 has more input by Kubo hopes it's better, but I miss the pacing of the series)
Tomoguchi was the one who proposed these two movies and while I appreciate the movie only characters being the center of the movies. It felt like the new lore was forced into the movies. DIgimon leaving them if they grew up but couldn't they find them in the digital world? Also 02 did the same thing with digivices
Anyone buy the new season sets Blu rays by Crunchyroll heard they were remastered ?
