Re: Astray novels and photonovels

Here's the first of the 3 Ile arc.

Chapt 17: RGX-04

As the war has restarted, Jess has received more assignments. Both him and Kaite are on their way to Orb as Jess’s instinct tells him that interesting events are going to happen in that country soon. He is piloting Outframe D G-Flight while Kaite is in his Divine Testament. A black and white machine suddenly appears, and an alerted Kaite changes the colour of Divine Testament’s VPS armour in preparation for any unexpected events.

As the machine is about to pass them by, it suddenly transform into a MS, leaving Jess speechless. He has seen a transformable MS before, but such units are rare and to have one unexpectedly appear and transform in front of his eyes still come as a shock. The pilot of that MS notices the white cross on Testament and wonders if its pilot is Kaite. Jess does not recognise the voice; it is soft and steady, with a hint of naïveté. Kaite is shocked by the voice and a slightly cautious look appears on his face. Jess then tensely requests that the pilot identify himself. With a slightly excited voice, the pilot says that his name is Ile De Llorar and just like Kaite, he is from Circus. Kaite questions if he is still with Circus and he replies that Circus no longer exists as its master, The Family, has been destroyed and thus, he is now free. Jess is disgusted that Ile mentions The Family’s destruction with a tinge of happiness as he lost someone whom he sees as a family member In that event. From his speech, Jess senses that Ile has a child-like naivety and mental state, and feels that such a person is irrational, not bonded by morality and thus capable of committing evil acts without hesitation. Ile then says that if it is not for Kaite, he might have died a long time ago as he is usually the last in the group. He adds that he is very surprised when Kaite left Circus and till now he does not understand why he left him behind.

Compared to the talkative Ile, Kaite is very silent. Although Jess does not know what happened to them in the past, Kaite’s silence shows that there is quite a gap between them. Ile then suggests that they team up and says that if they work together, conquering the world will not be a problem. Kaite remarks that Ile has not changed at all and rejects his offer as he is not interested in conquering the world. Ile wonders if Kaite is still searching for that particular someone and asks if he is not the one. Without any hesitation, Kaite replies that he is not and Ile quickly says that he is wrong. At the same moment, they are alerted to the presence of several Sky Graspers approaching them. EA is now at war, thus Jess is not surprised that they deployed their forces to check out what they deem as a group of 3 suspicious MS. To prove that they are not suspicious, Jess immediately tries to identify himself but before he can do that Ile has already make his move. Ile says that Kaite’s decision is a mistake and suspects that he is tricked by Jess. He then fires his cannons at Jess who cannot evade as his hands are on the communication buttons. Kaite blocks the attack using Divine striker; Ile is puzzled as to why Kaite protected Jess and states that he knows Kaite well, that they are old friends and that he is the most suitable partner for him. He then continues to attack Testament but Kaite evades them all.

Kaite wants Jess to escape to the island below them as he is not capable of fighting an aerial battle and will only hinder his fight. Kaite attacks Ile with his custom pistol but he only used the solid bullets as he wants to warn him first. Ile is upset that Kaite attacked him and losses his cool. Kaite attacks again but a Sky Grasper suddenly move in front of Ile’s MS and blocked the attack. Ile explains that Kaite’s attack failed because everybody likes him and as if in response to those words, the movement of all the Sky Graspers changed. Through the comms, Jess can hear a Sky Grasper pilot screaming that he has lost control of his machine. Ile claims that as they like him, they are willing to do anything for him. Jess realises that all this is happening because Ile’s MS has the same virus as Testament. The virus infected Sky Graspers then carry out suicide attacks against Testament, Ile calls them his presents for Kaite and attacks as well. Kaite struggles to avoid the attacks and it does not help that the space available for manoeuvring is limited by the Sky Graspers’ movement. Soon, one of the Sky Grasper collided into Testament, knocking it off balance. Like an avalanche, the other Sky Grasper also knocks into it.

As Outframe D is unarmed, Jess cannot save Kaite even if he wants to. A Launcher striker attached to one of the Sky Graspers landed in front of Jess, he quickly picks it up and attacks Ile. Ile easily evades the attack and upon realising that Jess is attacking him to protect Kaite, he decides to give Kaite another chance to choose who he wants to be his partner and says that he will be back before flying off.

Re: Astray novels and photonovels

Jess vs Ile

Chapt 18: Destiny

Due to Ile’s attacks, Testament Gundam is damaged and to repair it, Kaite and Jess head for Junk Guild’s space station. Thanks to its VPS armour, Testament is less severely damaged than thought and although the armour also protected Kaite, he is still affected by the impact from the attacks. His head is subjected to violent knocks during the collisions with Sky Graspers, and as a result his neck is hurt but more worrisome is the possible damage to the nervous system. Jess reprimands Kaite for not wearing a pilot suit when piloting a MS, if he had worn it, his injuries would not be as severe. Kaite points out that Jess is also guilty of the same mistake and Jess concedes the point. Jess has never thought of fighting with anyone using a MS, thus wearing a pilot suit did not cross his mind. He then apologies as he feels that Kaite would have been more prepared if he knew a fight is going to happen, and that he was forced to fight in order to protect him. Kaite rejects the apology and calmly says that he talk about his clothes just to rebut him. He adds that Jess should not let the incident bother him as it is not his fault and since he is a professional, the reprimand is expected. Jess is surprise at Kaite’s honesty and wonders if his brain is damaged. An infuriated Kaite then question if it is weird for someone to admit his mistake and Jess is forced to apologise again. Jess notes that the infuriated Kaite is behaving as usual.

While at the space station, they also start to plan for Ile’s next attack and many familiar faces gathered to help them. To speed up Kaite’s recovery, Setona prepares a lot of nutritious meal and Yoon is present to help with Testament’s repair. Bernadette is also there; she has gathered a lot of intelligence regarding Ile and according to her, Ile who is originally employed by ‘The Family’ has appropriated the organization’s facilities and resources after its collapse by acting faster than other interested parties. Jess feels that such childish act seems to fit Ile’s style but he is more impressed by Bernadette’s ability to gather so much intelligence in such a short amount of time and complements her. She thanks him for it and explains that it may be because she is gifted in this area or because Kenaf is an extremely good teacher. Jess is even more impressed when Setona secretly tells him that Kenaf had stop teaching Bernadette as he now deems her as his competitor. Bernadette then warns Jess that although Ile cannot control all the resources, he still has good gripe over some and will find them soon.

Bernadette’s words soon come true and Jess notices that Ile’s Proto-Saviour has additional equipment on its back. Ile states that he is here to pick up Kaite according to the agreement and thinks that after having time to reconsider his decision, Kaite must have realized that picking him as his partner is a better choice. Jess says that nothing of that sort happened and Ile comments that a journalist should not lie. Ile suggests having another match to help Kaite make up his mind and Jess wonders if Ile’s knowledge of him being a journalist is due to the database that ‘The Family’ owns. Ile points out that previously Testament’s virus was countered because Jess and Kaite worked together and wonders if they are using the same method to counter Proto-Saviour’s virus. Jess replies that he is piloting in place of Kaite and someone else is serving as his ‘eyes’. That ‘someone’ turns out to be Bernadette and she is doing it as she also wants to help Kaite. Ile finds that interesting and as he cut off the transmission, his attack also starts. The equipment on Proto-Saviour’s back separates and both machines attack Outframe D from 2 different directions simultaneously. Thanks to correct instruction from Bernadette, Jess manages to avoid any critical damages but he can only evade the attacks and has difficulties retaliating.

Suddenly, Jess receives a transmission from Gai wondering if he needs help. Elijah also makes his presence known and with a slightly joking tone says that even though this is forced marketing, Jess should still be grateful. Like Bernadette, they are here to help Kaite but Jess declines their offer as this is his battle, something that he cannot avoid since he is Kaite’s partner. It is also for this reason that he cannot pass the battle over to other people. Gai understands and Blue Frame 2nd L immediately moves back. Elijah acknowledges Jess’s wish and decides to help by giving him his custom Wizard pack, calling it a free special service. Upon seeing the pack, Jess remembers the time that the 3 of them spent together. He thanks Elijah for the pack and quickly equips it on Outframe D. Bernadette informs Jess that Proto-Saviour’s new equipment is actually part of Regenerate Gundam and has a nuclear engine. She has been checking on the enemy even while serving as his ‘eyes’. Jess does not see the significance of the nuclear engine and the conversion is interrupted by Ile’s laughter and he explains that it means his MS has infinite energy. As though showing off the new capability of his MS, he starts to shoot in all direction. Ile says that it is time Jess gives up on Kaite as friendship and everything else cannot be establish without the use of power. Jess rejects
Ile’s view and states that he believes in true friendship and will fight for what he believe in. He then activates the custom Wizard pack and evades a beam shot.

One can predict the path of a beam shot by observing the weapon’s muzzle carefully. Jess learns this from Kaite and manages to close in on Proto-Saviour in an instant. With a cheerfully voice, Ile complements Jess’s action. Even though Outframe D is now beside Proto-Saviour, Ile still does not regard it as a threat. He wonders aloud what Jess can do next as his MS does not seem to have any beam weapon. Jess proves him wrong by pulling out Kaite’s customized pistol from the back of Outframe’s waist. Ile is shocked and panics as he knows the pistol can switch between beam and solid ammo. Jess aims it at Proto-Saviour’s cockpit but he only fires the solid ammo. Jess can hear Ile’s fearful scream from the transmitter. Ile cannot believe that he lost and rumbles on that his destiny is to be a victor. Jess points out that one should not rely on destiny and the path forward is created through one’s hard work as well as those of his friends. Jess feels that he manages to grab victory because he and other like-minded people want to help Kaite. Without another word, Ile left and Jess watches him leave, he has no intention of killing him in the first place. He believes that Ile will one day understand what the true meaning of friends and friendship is.

Re: Astray novels and photonovels

The story did not make it clear, the only person i can think of is Matias. The last part of Chapt 13 show that they know each other for some time already before the events of Destiny Astray and it is possible that it is long enough for Jess to start treating him as a family.

Here's the last chapter, will be moving on to Phantom Pain Report.

Chapt 19: Party

Courtney Heironimus is lost in thought gazing at the MS in front of him. Usually, when a MS is fitted with too much weaponry not only will its balance be badly affected, it will also look ugly but this problem does not seem to affect Destiny Impulse. The theft at Armory One was a heartbreaking incident for him as he could not stop it. After that at ZAFT’s request, he stays with Integrated Design Bureau and focuses his efforts on the further development of Impulse Gundam. The fruit of that labor is Destiny Impulse and as he looks at it, he thinks that it is wrong to label it as complete. His view regarding Impulse’s development is that it should focus on its ability to change equipment to adapt to any situation. However, the military’s view is completely opposite of his and the end product is a MS that can handle any situation with a single set of equipment. The other possibilities that Impulse may hold is discarded, its characteristic combination system has become meaningless and it losses the ability to change Silhouette packs. All these make Courtney feels that strictly speaking, the MS should not be regarded as Impulse.

Courtney’s thought is interrupted by Mare Strode, who asks if all the preparations are complete. Mare has always wanted to be Impulse’s pilot and because of that he used to frequently get into an argument with Shin Asuka. Although his piloting skills are exceptional, Courtney has difficulties trusting him. He replies that all the preparation have been completed and passes the question back to Mare and his companion. With a hint of excitation, Mare says that he is always fully prepared while his companion, Gai, simply says that he is ready. Courtney knows Gai for some time and he is the one who suggested that Gai participates in the mission as he is uncomfortable with Mare carrying it out alone. Their mission is to find out the aim of the martians who arrived at earth sphere recently. The higher-ups seems to have difficulties ignoring the martians’ actions but they also feel that it is not really worthwhile to deploy their men for the job and hence they decide to give the mission to the pair. The mission will also serve as a test for Destiny Impulse. Mare expresses his wish to launch immediately and wants Courtney to look forward to his achievement. Courtney then throws cold water on Mare by reminding him that the mission also includes evaluating Destiny Impulse’s performance. Mare immediately got upset but Courtney ignores him. As he watches them leave, the uneasiness within Courtney begins to grow. Mare later attacked an EA vessel that they encountered without warning and although it is an enemy ship, it is not what he should be doing.

As Lowe transfers the Mars Jacket over to Civilian Astray, he says that he is originally worried that Deago Lowell would not return Red Frame to him. Deago quickly apologies and Lowe tells him it is okay since he has returned the MS and adds that he will be giving the Civilian Astray to him once the transfer of Mars Jacket is completed. Deago describes Lowe as an unexpectedly kind terran and the latter points out with a smile that kind people are not divided into terrans and martians. Lowe soon encounters a problem and explains to Deago that as some of the Civilian Astray’s parts are different from Red Frame’s, he cannot put Mars Jacket on it. He adds that the missing rare parts are produced by Heliopolis. As they are wondering what to do, Kaite and Jess walks in. Upon hearing about the problem, Kaite proudly says that he has those parts and that surprises Lowe. Kaite explains that his MS collections are not only for display, he often uses them in his work and thus, it is natural that he has spare parts for them. As Kaite is willing to provide the parts that Lowe needs, the problem is solved. Jess says that he wants to see Kaite’s MS collections and the whole group left for Kaite’s place.

The group arrives at an abandon colony that Kaite has taken over; he has been staying there since buying it. Jess is impressed and Kaite says that he needs it as his collection is too big. Kaite leads them to the hangar, Jess is left speechless by the sight and Lowe comments that the hangar is even more impressive than Junk Guild’s. There seems to be an endless number of MS in the hangar. Not surprisingly, Dagger and GINN appear frequently in Kaite’s collection but what catches Jess’s eye is the presence of Sword Calamity. Kaite then points out that he has 2 out of the 3 Sword Calamity produced and makes a ‘V’ sign proudly. He later explains that he recovered both Edward’s and Rena’s unit, and adds that it is common for damaged MS to go missing after they are taken away by Junk Guild. Jess does not approve of Kaite’s action and wants to know how many of his collection are obtained in such manner. Kaite then surrenders and says that he will give Edward his Sword Calamity back if he asks for it. He whispers that he still has one unit anyway and although Jess heard it, he decides to let it go as reprimanding Kaite will not solve the matter.

After acquiring the parts that he needs, Lowe successful equipped the Civilian Astray with Mars Jacket and completes a test with Deago’s help. Suddenly, the MS around them make a grating sound and start moving. Kaite does not think that there is an intruder in the colony as the alarm did not ring. There are also no signs that anyone enters any of the MS around them. Although the MS are moving, their actions seem to be a mess. Without any other options, Jess and friends decide to stop the out of control machines using their MS. However, once they board their MS, the disorderly machines suddenly start attacking them. Jess wonders what is going on and although Kaite has no answer to that question, he wants Jess to avoid damaging his collection. Jess finds Kaite’s request ridiculous, he is having trouble with a Sword Calamity while Kaite is facing a Dagger. Although Jess is thankful that the Sword Calamity is not piloted by Edward, he still finds the situation extremely bad. Lowe suggests that this is the work of a virus and Jess immediately knows who is behind this mess. He calls out for Ile and as if in respond to his call, Proto-Saviour+11 suddenly appears. Ile is surprised that they take so long to notice that he is the culprit and says that he wants to make them regret not killing him when they got the chance. Jess does not regret letting Ile escape that time but Kaite does not share his feeling and calls him a fool. Kaite seems to be more concerned about his collection getting damaged and wonders aloud who can stop this mess.

God seems to have heard Kaite’s cry and the alarm system that is tricked by the virus suddenly start sounding. The new intruders are soon revealed to be Destiny Impulse and Blue Frame 2nd L. Mare shouts that he finally found the martian and Jess immediately recognizes his voice. Mare wants Deago to surrender and warns that he will be killed if he resists. Deago has no intention of surrendering and pulls out the katanas on Astray Mars Jacket’s back. Kaite tries to stop them but he is being pinned down by the virus infected MS. Astray Mars Jacket cleaves one of the virus infected MS next to him into half but the attack is blocked by Destiny Impulse’s beam shield. Ile is annoyed that he is being ignored and attacks Destiny Impulse using the virus infected MS. As the virus cannot control the MS as well as humans, they are easily shot down by Destiny Impulse. Ile seems to realize that he is in a weaker position and his MS vanishes again from their view. He is able to do that as the virus has affected the MS sensors. As Ile disappears, the MS he controlled through the virus also stops. Kaite is infuriated as most of his precious MS collections are damaged. Mare then says that he will not let anyone who gets in his way go free and aims his weapons at Testament and Outframe D while fending off Astray Mars Jacket. In order to protect Jess, Kaite cannot attack Destiny Impulse and because of this, Jess feels that he is a burden to Kaite.

Jess asks Lowe and Gai for help but they refuse to get involved. Jess finds them heartless, he does not think Deago can settle the matter himself and while racking his brain to find a way out, he realizes something. He calls Ile, who he thinks is still around, to help him with the situation and asks him to treat it as helping Kaite. After a few seconds of silence, Destiny Impulse’s backpack suddenly drops on the floor. Jess knows that this is the work of the virus and Ile says that the rest is up to him. Jess quickly picks up the equipment and attaches it to Outframe D. 8 warns that as the system analysis is incomplete, they could not use the equipment at full power. Jess just wants the thing to work and 8 replies that it will try its best. The backpack equipment activates and Jess claims that the table has been turned; he wants the fighting to stop and says that he has no intention of fighting Mare and requests that he leave immediately. Mare does not want to leave but Gai intervenes and states that as combat consultant he recommends that they retreat. Mare then left and as matters come to a close, Jess suddenly feels weak; if a battle really breaks out, he is no match for Mare. Lowe complements Jess for the nice work and for having guts while Deago thanks him for the help. Gai just remarks coldly that his mission is completed. Kaite is still unhappy and Jess thinks that it cannot be help since his collection is badly damaged.

A few days later, Jess and Kaite return to earth. Both are them are in Outframe D and are lost, an argument soon occurs but Jess does not think it is bad. Kaite may say nasty things but he still trusts Jess during critical times. Jess also trusts Kaite and other friends, although he does not know what the future holds, he believes that they will still continue with what they are doing. In the end, he feels that he is satisfied with his way of life.

Re: Astray novels and photonovels

Here's the Phantom Pain Report short story.

Chapt 1

The battle between Phantom Pain and Martians are not that well known as it is mainly published in tabloids. To satisfy his curiosity and to find out the truth, Jess decides to interview the 2 defeated Phantom Pain pilots. Dana Snip is unexpectedly cooperative while Emilio Broderick is still affected by the battle and is in a trance-like state, he is willing to be interviewed only because Dana is okay with it. When faced with Jess’s questions, they either give very simple answers or refuse to give any. They refuse to answer any questions about Phantom Pain and have a firm anti-Coordinator stand, all these matches with Jess’s expectation. The only question that causes them to have a visible reaction is when Jess asked if they know Sven Cal Bayang. Dana is the first to react while Emilio’s expression changes slightly after he notices the change in Dana’s. When Jess tells them that their change in expression did not escape his eyes, Dana seems to give up the thought of concealing the matter and starts talking. He first asks Jess how he comes to know about Sven and Jess replies that he got the name from interviewing the Martians. Jess knows the background of Sven’s Strike Noir and notes that their MS seem to have similar background. Dana remarks that Jess has a very sharp eye and starts talking about the Gundams developed by Actaeon Industries. This is different from what Jess wants to know, but he still listens carefully as it may cause them to be more cooperative. Besides, even if he press them for an answer, it is unlikely they will give any. Furthermore, he may find some other interesting topic to ask about after listening to what they say. He had originally wanted to know more about Phantom Pain’s core.

Dana explains that the Gundams are modified based on data they collected while using it in combat. Sven’s Gundam is the first to be modified as his combat results are extremely excellent. Dana smiles as he notices that Jess is interested in the topic and suggests a trade. Jess notes that Dana has a frivolous smile similar to those of a third rate swindler and is suspicious about the trade. However, he decides to go with the flow and urges Dana to carry on. Dana explains that there is a research facility belonging to Phantom Pain nearby and although it has shut down, he believes that it still contain stuff that Jess may be interested in. Jess feels that this is obviously a trap as if they bring them along; they will have a higher chance of escaping and there is also the possibility that their comrades are in the facility. Despite all these concerns, Jess’s curiosity about the trap’s content overwhelms him and he agrees to the suggestion. Upon reaching the facility, Jess finds that Dana is truthfully about there being a lot of interesting stuff. Dana then displays an image on the screen and says that this is what he wants to show Jess. There are 5 Gundams in the image and Sven’s unit is at the center.

Chapt 2

Although many people heard about the Martians visiting earth, nobody knows what their true aim is. However, there are 2 noteworthy facts. Firstly, after they arrived shortly at PLANT, EA declared war against PLANT and then when they arrived at Orb, there was the incident in which Cagalli was kidnapped. It is very difficult to explain both incident as coincidental and there is a possibility that Martians may be behind both incident. In fact, there are rumors that Martians are behind the kidnapping incident although there are some illogical parts to them. Phantom Pain once secretly contacted the Martians visiting earth and requested that they stop their interference. As the negotiation breaks down, a battle started and it seems that military officials have proposed to the Parliament that the Martian visitors be annihilated.

Complex political factors are some of the reasons why the Martians are visiting earth. What is certain is that Martians are also concerned about the war on earth and want to understand more about terrans. As Phantom Pain is an organization on earth, the Martians thinks that they can help them understand more about terrans. As the Martians met with PLANT’s chairman before and after EA’s declaration of war, Phantom Pain thought that they may have some information on Neutron Stampeder. Actually, the Martian has no idea about the weapon and after their plan to obtain the information failed, Phantom Pain attacked the Martians but the latter managed to escape.

The Martians then travelled to Orb, but as it later formed an alliance with EA, some of the Orb forces also join in Phantom Pain’s pursue of the Martians. A battle soon occurs and Delta Astray was heavily damaged while the Orb forces that participated were dealt a heavy blow. There are rumors that the surviving Orb forces are integrated into Phantom Pain and this is likely due to the political situation then. The survivors later attacked the Martians again and some of the unconfirmed reports state that some of them are forced to undergo enhancements while recovering from their injuries. This information is most likely true as Destroy Gundam is deployed during the battle and it is known that normal pilot has a hard time controlling it. The Martians were able to repel the attack with the help of Turn Delta Gundam. This battle is actually for gauging the combat capability of the Martians so that the main attack force led by Dana and Emilio are better prepared. Phantom Pain then attacked the Martians again but was defeated after Turn Delta’s power issue was resolved.

Later, when Jess asks Dana and Emilio why they attacked the Martians even though Phantom Pain has lost its backers, the former replies that he does not care who his opponents are, he just wants to fight while the latter simply says that it is because they are Coordinators and trails off. Jess notices that Emilio seems to be having doubts and after further probing, he confesses that he is unsure if his position has changed. It seems that the battle with the Martians has affected them in some ways but what the effects are remains to be seen.

Chapt 3

Jess, Ergnes and Issac travel in their respective MS as Dana and Emilio lead them to the research facility. The facility is underground and is carefully camouflaged; people would not even know that it exists unless they are told beforehand. Most of the data and other stuffs in the facility have been deleted or destroyed but Dana still manages to find some interesting stuff to show to Jess and co. Dana explains that the facility is mainly for conducting preparatory research for further development of the Actaeon project. Jess wonders about the further development and shifts his focus to the data displayed before him. Ergnes suddenly calls out to Jess and the latter realizes that Dana and Emilio are missing. The trio follows Issac’s suggestion and run back to their MS outside. As they board their MS, the hidden hangar door in the forest opens; 2 MS appears and immediately move towards them. Dana complains about the trio’s fast reaction but he later adds that it does not matter as they will be defeated by Strike E. Dana’s and Emilio’s Strike E is equipped with slightly modified Launcher and Sword pack respectively. Although Jess recognizes the base machine, he finds their coloration unfamiliar and their striker pack strange.

Dana labels them as fools and identifies the modified Striker packs as Another Trial Striker packs developed by the facility. Besides developing Striker pack for elite pilots (this seems to be a reference to Noir Striker), EA have also developed new packs for ordinary pilots. It is possible that Phantom Pain was thinking about deploying Strike E as their next generation mainstay MS. Dana then knocks down Outframe D using his cannon’s barrel and the impact almost causes Jess to lose consciousness. Jess considers himself lucky because if he is further away, Dana would have fired the cannon and Outframe D would likely be destroyed. Ergnes and Issac then attack Dana and Emilio. However, Emilio is one step ahead of them and fires the rocket anchors at their legs, bounding them to the ground and stopping their attack. Emilio pulls out the anti-ship sword; Jess immediately warns his companions but to his surprise, the attack is aimed at Dana. Dana is caught off guard and his MS is cleaved into 2.

After the battle, Emilio comes down from his MS and although he did not say anything, Jess can sense the change in his heart through his expression. Emilio himself also notices the change and seems to have accepted it. After returning to Junk Guild’s facility, Jess takes a photo for Emilio after he requested for one. Setona and Ergnes join him as well. Jess has an indescribable feeling about the photo as it is one with a Phantom Pain member alongside Coordinators and he thinks that one can see the hope for the future in it.

Due to Phantom Pain Report, Jess has landed himself in hot soup. This is because the way he obtains the information for the report is deemed to be illegal and he is now accused of bribing the Phantom Pain pilots. According to the latest news available, EA officials have taken action regarding the matter but there have been no official announcement.

Next 3 posts will be about Destiny MSV senki.

Re: Astray novels and photonovels

Here's the first of 3 Destiny MSV Senki chapters.

Chapt 1: Heaven’s Base

Anna informs her team leader, Mario, that her sensors are picking up enemy MS and she later identifies them as Forbidden Vortex. Although all the MS in the team are equipped with Lorenzini sensors, Anna’s GINN WASP Custom has the latest version. Mario immediately orders his team (UIT 2) to increase speed and to get into formation. The team consists of 3 Noctiluca ZAKU Warrior, 3 ZnO, 5 GOOhN and 1 GINN WASP Custom. There are 7 other similar teams, their main mission is to destroy Heaven’s Base coastal defence and harbour facilities and they are approaching from different directions. However, Mario’s team has an additional mission; they are to help a FAITH lead special ops team break into Heaven Base’s underwater submarine entrance. This special ops team is to capture the Logos members hiding inside Heaven’s Base and to force them to surrender. They have also received permission to kill any member who resisted them without waiting for approval from the military tribunal. An ear-splitting alarm sounded and Mario quickly commands the ZnO and GOOhN to fire their phonon maser cannons. The attack successfully neutralised the supercavitating torpedoes fired by Forbidden Vortex. Mario reminded his team that their aim is to get to the submarine entrance before opening a line to the special ops team and assuring them that his team will get them safely to their destination. UIT 2 then disperses and rushes towards the enemy units.

On the sea near the southern coast of Heaven’s Base, a fierce battle is being fought between a group of Euclid supported by Jet Dagger L and various MS deployed by ZAFT and its allies. Due to EA’s pre-emptive strike, the waters surrounding Heaven’s Base have descended into chaos. The continuous explosion has rendered EA’s sonar network useless and ZAFT’s UIT 6 manages to slip past EA’s coastal defence. UIT 6 consists of Noctilcua ZAKU Warrior, Gunner ZAKU Warrior, Blaze ZAKU Phantom and Command ZAKU CCI. Noctiluca ZAKU Warrior surfaces and tows the other 3 units attached to it through a cable ashore. This team is to investigate the installations on Heaven’s Base as although it is built decades ago, not much is known about its facilities and Djibril’s relax attitude seems to indicate that he has a way to turn the situation around. It has been decided earlier that UIT 6 is to investigate the large unknown facility located in the hills behind the base. ZAFT thinks that the facility is some kind of weapon.

At the cost of all their lives, Mario’s team managed to deliver the special ops team safely to their destination. Such heavy costs have increased Henri Eugenie’s will to fight. Through the tunnel connected to the submarine entrance, Henri and his 6 subordinates manages to infiltrate the underground harbour. Henri is piloting GOUF Crusher while his subordinates are using Slash ZAKU Warrior. This seemingly reckless infiltration is planned base on intelligence that ZAFT received from defected EA officials. After analysing the base’s structure, the officers think that it is very likely that Logos members are hiding in the nuclear bomb shelter. Although the shelter is very resistant against external shocks and attacks, it is easily penetrated by attacks from the inside. Henri’s team move quickly as the mission’s success depends on how close they get to the shelter before the enemy deploys their MS to stop them. As the facility they are in now is originally meant for moving heavy machineries, their MS can barely move through and as a result, they have to destroy the obstacles in their way as they move toward. Upon realising the true aim of Henri’s team, EA immediately deploys Dagger L and 105 Dagger to stop them. Henri is unfazed by this as GOUF Crusher is specialised for close quarters combat in confined space. Development of GOUF and its variants are halted after it lost to ZAKU in the competition to be ZAFT’s next mainstay MS. Since then, GOUF Crusher is kept in the hangar as reserve unit and is specially re-activated to participate in this operation. Henri is involved in its development and he is now determined to show the higher-ups its true value. He uses the spherical breaker against enemy MS that are some distance away and even if the MS withstood the attack, its pilot will still be severely affected by the impact. As for enemy MS that are closer, he uses the impact vise to crush them.

Nibelung is a top secret facility located in the hilly region behind the base, very few people in the base know about it and together with Destroy Gundams they are the main reasons why EA officials and Logos members believe the base will not fall. In order to keep the existence of Nibelung a secret, patrol team 2012 is deployed in the area. Stephen Wiltshire is the leader of this team; he orders 2 of his subordinate to activate their MS’s mirage colloid system and trail behind the enemy MS team. He then wants another subordinate to stay behind and await further orders. Although N dagger N contravene the Junius Treaty, Stephen is not bothered by it and thinks that no one in the world care about the treaty anymore. He also activates his N Dagger N’s mirage colloid system and stand ups as the enemy MS team gets closer. He wonders if they are equipped with mirage colloid detector but he soon dismisses this worry as they do not act like they have one. Looking at the MS database, Stephen notes that the Command ZAKU CCI has improved communication system and thinks that it can communicate with friendly units that are in orbit despite the presence of N-Jammers. He aims his energy blaster at the enemy and his subordinates who are trailing the enemy also do likewise, they have already calculated the beam trajectory and are certain that their attack would not hit each other. The 4 enemy MS suddenly stop and Stephen instinctively move his MS to the side. Blaze ZAKU Phantom then fires its missiles at the surrounding while Gunner ZAKU Warrior fires its cannon and sweeps the beam around. One of Stephen’s subordinate is too slow to evade and is killed by the beam. Stephen realises that the enemy actually has the detector; they know that they will be surrounded and has been luring his team closer so that they kill them. Stephen calls the subordinate that he left behind and a Wild Dagger leaps forward, cutting the Gunner ZAKU Warrior in half with its beam saber. Blaze ZAKU Phantom then aims at the Wild Dagger but before it can fire its rifle, its cockpit is penetrated by an N Dagger N’s piercer lock. Stephen destroys the Noctiluca ZAKU Warrior using his energy blaster and the only enemy MS left is the Command ZAKU CCI. It kneel downs and initially Stephen thought that it is surrendering, but then it aims its antenna gun at the sky and he quickly realises that it is trying to send a message to friendly units in orbit. The Wild Dagger then quickly slices the antenna gun together with the MS in 2. Stephen wonders how much information the enemy team manages to collect about Nibelung and although he may never know that answer, he is certain that his team may end up like them one day.

The Command ZAKU CCI did not manage to send the message about Nibelung and Stephen’s team is later annihilated by Destiny Gundam. Henri and his team survived and contributed greatly by capturing most of the Logos members except for Djibril. The subsequent fighting caused by Djibril causes Henri to live in guilt for the rest of his live. Unknown to people at that time, the fighting actually have been going according to Gilbert Durandal’s plan and ‘Operation Ragnarok’ is just a stepping stone. Compared to the success of his plan, the life and the sufferings of front line soldiers are nothing.

Re: Astray novels and photonovels

Hello there. Is that something official confirming the 'it was all Gilbert's plan' train of thought on Destiny's events?

Re: Astray novels and photonovels

I suppose the MSV stories are quite close to official but how much of Destint's events are a part of Gilbert's plan is unknown. Chapter 3 did expand a bit on why he though Destiny plan is essential.

Re: Astray novels and photonovels

A slightly unique chapter in terms of story.

Chapt 2: Orb

As the phrase goes ‘curiosity kills the cat’, however for Takito Haya Oshidari it is more like ‘righteousness kills the soldier’. Takito is still alive and in the military but his life is rather bad after getting transferred away from a popular unit. He is also further away from promotion and his girlfriend left him due to the disappointment she felt over this. Takito heard that she migrated to PLANT and thinks that it cannot be helped as she is a Coordinator. Thanks to these events, Takito finally feels that ‘reality’ is equal to ‘money’; lots of money is needed so that he can restart his life. He is aware that his view is rather short-sighted, but could not be bothered about it. There is another reason why he is thinking this way and it is because of his country, Orb. After Uzumi Nara Athha’s death, the country has been getting increasingly corrupted under the lead of useless leaders. Takito had enough of working under the foolish father and son duo from the Seiran family. Thus, he has decided to steal some valuables during the chaos caused by ZAFT’s attack. He does not care if people view him as a traitor or call him by other names; he is going all out to accomplish his goal.

Sergeant Wada announces that ‘Foolish II’ from Seiran family is giving a dumb speech and has said that Djibril is not in the country. Ensign Yamada rolls his eyes and says that Yuna is indeed a fool; he is just giving ZAFT an excuse to attack Orb. Wada then remarks that it is clear that Orb is doomed and Yamada adds that ZAFT will say that the citizens of Orb deserve to suffer as they did nothing about their foolish leaders. From their comments, it seems that the younger Wada and Yamada is even less concerned about the country than Takito is. Takito feels that there are room for discussion for some of the things they say but all of them agree that the current group of leaders are all idiots. Despite the differences in ranks, they still treat each other as equals. Takito’s rank is Lieutenant JG and is also the leader of the team. However, he is often addressed as ‘big brother’ among his comrades; they had thrown military discipline out of the window as they deem their current duty as security support to be akin to those of a beggar begging. After the fall of Heaven’s Base, Orb’s military has been in an unstable state and it is not surprising, considering that their commander, Yuna, is wearing the word ‘incompetence’ on his sleeve. Wada reminds Takito that he is in this current position thanks to Yuna. After splitting from Rinna Sera Yasaka, Takito’s habit of complaining has gotten worse and even he considers it as an annoyance. Yamada then changes topic and questions if the information regarding the capital bank’s private assets is reliable, and Wada replies that it is an open secret in that sector and there are proofs of it. Takito then says that although the Seiran is well known for producing fools, the method they employ is quite ingenious; rather than having their assets stay as cash or gold bars, they have them converted to platinum or other precious metals mined from asteroids. These materials will retain their value no matter where they go. He then adds in a spiteful manner that Seirans are indeed trash. Takito and his friends plan to steal these metals and use them to fund their new life. There are 2 more members in his team, Tanaka and Suzuki. These 2 had hacked into the computer system and changed their deployment orders; instead of being deployed at the coast, they are now deployed at the main street. They have also got them 2 M1 Astray, which are being piloted by Wada and Yamada, and 1 Murasame, which is under Takito’s control and is what he is piloting before his demotion. Tanaka and Suzuki are alongside them in a MS command vehicle.

They head off for the bank with a fake document that identifies them as the bank’s security guards. Chaos in the city is spreading and it is understandable, ZAFT’s MS are already flying overhead while the government continues to be silent. They then spotted signs that the war has already started. They avoided the panicking crowds and cars and took an alternate route to the bank. As the command system is in chaos, nobody found their movement suspicious. Under Takito’s command, Wada picks up the MS command vehicle from the crowded road to fasten their journey to the bank. Takito is worried about encountering ZAFT forces as all they want to do is to rob the bank and not participate in the war. Their plan did not go smoothly as by the time they are near their destination, Orb’s defence team is already engaging ZAFT forces in front of the bank. After wondering for a while what to do, they decided to have a better look at the bank’s situation from the shadows of a collapsed building. Takito holds his breath after spotting a young mother and her daughter in the area. It seems that they are too slow to escape the area and to make matters worse; a damaged M1 Astray is toppling down on them. Takito curses and unconsciously uses his Murasame to knock down the M1 Astray. At the same time, Yamada uses his M1 Astray to protect the petrified pair. Takito hears the firing sound of a beam rifle and quickly scolds Yamada for engaging ZAFT forces but the latter retorts that Takito is the one that acted first. Takito is left speechless and rather than waste his time finding an excuse, he transforms Murasame into its MA form and flies upwards so that he can get a better view of the situation. Tanaka and Suzuki seem to have given the mother and daughter a lift out of the area.

While airborne, Takito is attacked by ZAFT forces on the ground. This angered him and he wants them to know the power of an ex-Lieutenant Commander. After climbing to the highest possible point, he transforms Murasame into MS form and swoops down quickly. He manages to evade the enemy’s attack and destroys 2 Noctiluca ZAKU Warrior and 1 ASH while on his way down. He almost throws up as he lands but forces the feeling back and cuts off the head of a nearby ZAKU Warrior. Wada and Yamada’s M1 Astray are crossing fire to eliminate any blind spot. Thanks to the intervention from Takito’s team, the defence team manages to regain their footing. Takito later discovers that it is a coincidence that ZAFT forces are here; they have been misled to this useless area and are just as unlucky as his team. ZAFT forces quickly retreated before they suffer any more losses and Takito admires them for making such a decisive decision. Leader of the defence team thanks Takito’s team for their timely intervention and Takito replies that he is glad that they make it in time as his teammates stare at him. If looks can kill, he has already died 4 times. The leader jokes that ZAFT is attacking this place because they want to rob the bank and Takito’s team responds with a stiff smile. Wada almost let slip the reason they are there and Takito steps on his foot with all his might. The leader did not notice anything amiss and says the Seirans have already moved all their valuables back to their mansion and there is nothing left in the bank. This shocks Takito’s team and they quickly make an excuse to leave the area. Not surprisingly, their destination is Seiran’s mansion; they are not going to give up that easily. The girl that Takito’s team saved later thanks them and this touches Takito’s heart.

Takito remarks that the Seirans are planning on leaving the country and this fits what he mentioned before, their gathering of assets is in preparation for an escape. He is not surprised by their action and thinks that the rotten Seiran family will never stay on a sinking ship. Their actions cause him to be more determined to steal their valuables. When they are near the mansion, they are shocked to see that it is already damaged. They did not know that it is also one of ZAFT’s targets. Takito curses and Wada expresses his concern that events like those at the bank may be repeating. Yamada then discovers an abandoned N Dagger N; they could use it to get close to the mansion without being dragged into the fighting. Takito suspects that the MS is used by Djibril’s guards and just like his master, the guard has mostly likjely escaped on his own after realising the situation can only get worse. After ordering his team to stay put, Takito boards N Dagger N and activates its mirage colloid system. He then confirms with them that the MS is invisible before moving carefully to the mansion as there are fierce battles nearby. If the MS is visible, its movement will probably look stupid but luckily that is not the case. Takito manages to reach the mansion safely, all the surviving members of Seiran family has already escaped, and then he realises he forgot to ask his team where the valuables are hidden. At the same moment, one of the sensors alerts him to an enemy unit nearby. Takito is not used to EA’s control interface and has difficulties locating the enemy. A Geo-GOOhN bursts out of the ground, knocks into N Dagger N and the active scale motors on its body damages part of the latter’s armour, causing the mirage colloid system to fail. The situation is unfavourable to Takito, he must quickly defeat the enemy or his earlier efforts will be wasted. He quickly checks what weapons are available and rules out using beam weapon as the release of the beam and the resulting explosion will be too obvious. He thus decides to use the sword and thinks that it fit the small MS quite well. As he is the pilot of Murasame, he refuses to admit that he do not know how to use a sword (a pun I suppose, since ‘Murasame’ is also the name of a sword). He manages to cleave Geo-GOOhN into 2 and hears an ear piercing sound in the process. That sound is due to the sword coming into contact with the still active scale motors but he is not bothered by it as he spotted Seiran’s underground vault through the hole that Geo-GOOhN made.

Takito started laughing, the enemy has ‘kindly’ dug for them a way to the vault and he could see within it the shimmering platinum. He calls for his team when the fighting has let up a bit. By the time Orb’s reinforcement arrived, Takito’s team has already left with all the precious metals that they can carry. Takito feels that it is retribution that Yuna and Unato both died and the Seiran will now be left without heirs. He is shocked by Akatsuki’s beam deflecting ability and states that he can never understand what the higher-ups are thinking. Although Takito and his team get their hands on the precious metals, they fail to get out of the country as planned as a certain incident cause them to head for space and be involved with another battle. In the end, Takito feels that the greatest lesson he learned so far is that nothing good will happen if one goes all out without much thought.

Well these side stories are informative, I always wondered what happened to Edward and Rena's Sword Calamity after they fought, turns out Kaite ended up with them and put them in his collection. Hey if they want them back all they have to do is ask right. LOL

Re: Astray novels and photonovels

Last chapter of Destiny MSV senki.

Chapt 3: Vicinity of Messiah

Regardless of whether a person is good or bad, he/she will have desire(s) that cannot be overcome. Gilbert Durandal feels that all these desires are punishments meted out to humans and will lead to its extinction. In order for humans to survive, they need to escape from these punishments and it is for this reason that ‘Destiny Plan’ and ‘Messiah’ exists. Therefore, he cannot understand why there are people out there who are against his plan and want to destroy Messiah. The only way out he can see is to remove those trying to block the implementation of Destiny Plan. Gilbert thinks that he is the only person in the world who is truly concerned about other humans and the future of humanity. He fears nothing as he believes that he is on the right path. Till the end he still could not understand why the world does not accept the correct solution for the problem.

Courtney launches in the Core Splendor and combines with other parts to form Destiny Impulse. As too many functions are added to Destiny Impulses’s systyem, its management has also become relatively complex. To overcome this, avionics and land use systems have been enhanced to lessen the need for the pilot to carry out minor adjustments and this allows him to concentrate fully on the battle. Courtney takes a look at the data displayed on his battlefield monitoring system and notes that the battlefield is in complete chaos. A wry smile appears on his face and he thinks that his own situation is not any better. During the previous war, Courtney is a civilian employee of Verne Developmental Corp and works as a test pilot in the development team. Although the company is slower than their competitors in the field of MS development, it has much more skilled pilots than the rest. Among the company’s pilots, Courtney’s skill is exceptional and it is common for other companies to request for his help. Courtney is only concerned about developing an excellent MS and has no interest in the results it produced on the battlefield; he leaves that problem to the military and the government officials. His sole interest is in finding a way for a MS to be developed to its fullest potential. However, the war soon brings him to the frontlines and he thinks that this represents that excellent pilots are almost exhausted and regards such situation as the war having entered its final stages. The sound of the alarm brings him out of his thoughts and he notices that the sensors have picked up several enemy MS nearby. After sending a message that he will be entering combat, he rushes Destiny Impulse towards the enemies. Courtney is involved in this MS’s development and enjoyed the challenges he faced during the process. He thus has absolute confidence in it but to be piloting it and killing the enemy is another story. To him, this is an act of insult to the MS’s existence as a machine but he does not have any other options. He activates the beam shield on both arms to block a swarm of missiles and finds it rather boring that he can only repay the favor in kind. As he aims the beam cannons at the incoming enemy MS, he muttered an apology before pressing the trigger.

Although the positron reflector shield is powerful, it is not free from system faults even if the chance of it occurring is extremely low. If such a fault occurs, the unlucky pilot will be vaporized by the positron beam before he notices it. It seems that it is for this reason that the pilots of Gells-Ghe and Zamza-Zah nickname the shield as ‘Fool’s Wall’. EA forces that have the same goal as Orb forces in destroying Messiah are temporarily grouped into the latter’s command system. Gells-Ghe(s) and Zamza-Zah(s) are deployed at the front to protect the fleet with their shields. As the fleet moves forward, the shields are continuously bathe in positron and high energy beams but the MAs block them all and continue to maintain their position. The commanders of the 2 MA team are old faces in the company that developed them and are also very experienced MA pilots. The fleet has no information about Messiah; its existence is a great shock to them. This is an intelligence management victory for ZAFT as they totally concealed its existence until its revelation. As such, the fleet is forced to employ near suicidal tactics in order to destroy it. The pilots agree with what Captain Ramius said, that even if they later discover what they did now is a mistake, that they will cry and be angry with it, they will still continue thinking about the next step. They feel that it correctly reflected the current situation. Due to the fleet’s luck based battle strategy of fighting no matter where they go, Zamza-Zah’s mothership is destroyed while Gells-Ghe’s mothership is forced to leave the frontlines due to heavy damages. Despite this the MA pilots carry on fighting, although they may not have a place to return to after the battle ends, they know that they will have to survive first before they can ponder that question.

Although the pilot suit’s air conditioning system is functioning normally, Rinna Sera Yasaka’s undergarments are soaked with her sweat and are extremely uncomfortable. It is well known that continuous usage of DRAGOON system is a heavy burden on the pilot; however she did not expect it to be this bad. She is piloting Providence ZAKU, a MS equipped with a nuclear reactor. Though the use of such MS in combat is prohibited by Junius Treaty, she and her team leader ignore it as what is important now is surviving and not following the treaty. The firing of Neo-GENESIS has thrown the enemy fleet into a state of chaos, but their attack did not stop and Rinna has no problem sending them to hell. She focuses all her attention on controlling the DRAGOON pods; unconsciously she processes all the information from the MS’s sensors in her brain and transmits them to the pods.
As Rinna is a recent migrant to PLANT, she does not have deep feelings for the place or ZAFT but she is enraged by EA’s nonsensical policies against Coordinators. She is thus fighting not to protect PLANT or the chairman’s idea but as a person who want to survive and to protect her dignity. The madness on the battlefield gradually spreads and expands. Rinna moves her Providence ZAKU towards a group of Orb’s MS. A battle for survival has somehow deteriorated into a fight simply for the sake of it; it is now a game in which the goal is to completely wipe out the opposing team.

Takito and his team are piloting Ootsukigata and are engaged in fierce combat. Orginally, Ootsukigata is supposed to attack the MS in the enemy’s defense line with its back mounted railgun before the assault by M1A Astray, but in this battle, this role is taken over by EA’s MAs and thus Ootsukigata joined in the assault. In some ways, Takito and his team have drawn the shortest straw and their chance of getting shot has also increased. During the chaos, Takito got separated from his teammates and due to the strong N-Jammer interference, he could not confirm if they are still alive. His first though Is that he need to survive and return to earth, he does not care for victory and places his full attention on surviving. A ZAKU with never seen before equipment closes in on Takito’s position, it seems to be intent on defeating him and he can clearly feel the fighting will of the enemy pilot. Takito has no problem accepting the challenge. In the end, both Rinna and Takito survived and although they did meet after the war, it is unknown if they become a couple again. All the pilots of EA’s MA(s) died. Courtney survives and Destiny Impulse did not disappoint him with its remarkable kill count. He later leaves the frontlines and no one knows where he is.

Wasn't this mentioned in the series? I think it was the episode where Gil was arguing with Ghost Rau.

What was Lacus' reason again? Can't remember.
he muttered an apology before pressing the trigger.

Courtney is just badass. GOMEN!!

What? Seriously, what?
All the pilots of EA’s MA(s) died.
Man, that sucks.
Courtney survives and Destiny Impulse did not disappoint him with its remarkable kill count. He later leaves the frontlines and no one knows where he is.
Seriously, I would think that Courtney is Amuro's expy right now. The only thing missing is for him to push back an asteroid.

Was there not also a mention of Messiah destruction in this chapter and how the internal explosions resulted in it losing orbit and it ultimately crashing on the moon's surface, and didn't the eternal represent the alliance and offer a ceasefire to ZAFT, in the end or am im totally confused??

The first line, yes, but i'm not so sure about the 2nd line. It seems new to me....

Well, these sidestories often do not include all the events that happen in the anime. They only include parts they want to expand on.

Re: Astray novels and photonovels

Time for Vs Astray.

Chapt 1

A man comments to a teenager that it has finally started and the latter simply replies that it indeed has. The man then excitedly claims that another of the Librarian Works’ goal will soon be accomplished but the teenager remains calm and states that he does not think it will be that easy. The man then restrains himself from refuting Prayer as he is the Supreme Librarian. Prayer returns his attention to the book at hand but Lowe’s face suddenly appears in his mind.

In his ship, Lowe complains that he is bored and wonders if anything fun will happen. A chill immediately runs down Kisato’s spine, the self-proclaimed girlfriend of Lowe tells him to stop saying silly things and adds that trouble always come knocking at their door when he say such things. Her past experiences tell her that this is an omen for trouble and the ship’s alarm suddenly sounded. Lowe wonders what is going on and a bright smile appears on his face. In contrast, Kisato’s face is rather gloomy. Captain GG suddenly appears in the commander’s seat and informs them that 2 MS are approaching their position; one appears to be Astray type while the other is an unknown unit. As a mechanical engineer, the presence of an unknown MS immediately piques Lowe’s interest; he magnifies the image to largest possible magnification and displays it on screen. He remarks that the unknown MS seems to be an independently modified Strike Gundam and therefore it is not surprising that they do not have any data on it. He then notes that the Astray type MS is colored red and Kisato chips in by saying that it’s pilot must be an admirer of Lowe. As Lowe and his Red Frame are involved in numerous important events, there are quite a number of people out there imitating him. In fact, it he is so popular that Junk Guild is selling conversion parts for changing Raysta’s appearance to that of Red Frame’s. Lowe then decides to check out the situation, a worried Kisato objects but he did not hear it and she labels him an idiot.

As Red Frame moves toward the 2 incoming MS, Lowe finds that the Astray type MS is like an exact copy of his own, it even has an identical katana at the waist. 8 reports that Red Frame and this Astray type MS have 99% appearance similarity. Lowe asks 8 what it thinks of the situation and it replies that he should ask their opponent instead. Lowe agrees and comments that it is the easiest method. In respond to Lowe’s reply, 8 opens the communication channel and Lowe asks the pilots of the 2 MS who they are. Pilot of the modified Strike says that they are Librarians and wants Lowe to hand over everything he has, including his life. As these words are also heard by those on board the ship, Lowe deems the situation as a headache and frowns. Without a doubt, Kisato is mostly likely panicking right now and will definitely give him an earful when he returns. At the thought of this, Lowe finds it difficult to take things easy anymore. As Lowe has got himself into such troublesome situation more than once, he is rather cool about it but for Kisato it is another story. The most urgent matter now for him is to finish this as quickly as possible so that he can return and calm Kisato down. He remarks that since the opponent is finding fault with him, he can only retaliate. Although Lowe is piloting a MS, he is still a junker and can only fight in self-defense. He thinks that even the strictest among his friends, Liam, will not disagree with his actions as it fits the condition. He also thinks that if the Professor is here, she might have even initiated the attack. Red Frame pulls then out its katana. Replica Red Frame also does likewise and Lowe immediately recognizes it’s katana as ‘Tiger Pierce’.

The enemy is not surprise at all that Lowe recognizes the katana, while Lowe is shocked that his opponent maybe Un’no. The enemy clarifies that he is not an old man and states that due to Librarian Works’ technology, he has been revived as a healthy and strong 30 years old. Lowe does not understand what he meant by ‘revive’ and Carbon Human Un’no explains that Librarian can resurrect the dead. He adds that to fight against them requires a lot of guts and asks Lowe what he thinks of it. As usual, Lowe replies that although he does not understand the whole thing, it does not matter. He then declares that even if the opponent is Un’no, he will not lose. Un’no is satisfied with the answer and his Red Frame launches a direct downward slash at Lowe’s Red Frame. Lowe blocks the attack with his ‘Gerbera Straight’ and Un’no comments that Lowe’s skill has improved. Un’no sounds excited while Lowe is unexpectedly silent; although he manages to block the slash, the impact of the attack is not negated and it causes Lowe and his MS to shake violently. This is the scariest part about solid weapon; no matter how thick the armour of one’s MS is as long as the impact of the attack reaches the pilot, it can still cause injuries. 8 then warns that although the delicate machineries in the MS are fine, another similar impact will damage the joints. Lowe’s Red Frame is equipped with new high output, high durability actuators developed by Jean Carry and since these parts will likely be damaged during the next blow, it shows that the impact Lowe and his MS received is larger than normal. 8 concludes that the replica Red Frame most likely has similar actuators and wonders how Librarian Works got the data. Lowe replies weakly that who knows but a smile hangs at the corner of his lip. 8 notes that both MS have similar performance and questions what is Lowe’s next step. He quickly says that he has already catches a glimpse of victory. He takes a deep breath and then requests that Un’no strikes him with another identical blow and Un’no did as told. Lowe successfully blocks the attack again while replica Red Frame loses its grip on the katana. Un’no is surprised that the actuators in the wrist joints are overloaded. Lowe’s Red Frame is still holding onto its katana and he remarks that although their MS have similar performance but as he is a junker, he handles its maintenance personally every day and that this small difference is what causes the difference in outcome.

Un’no gracefully accepts his defeat and Lowe says that he is not bad himself, that the damage he suffered is also great and that it will be difficult for him to fight with the modified Strike. Un’no tells him he need not be concern with that problem and adds that he will block the modified Strike for him. The unarmed replica Red Frame then rushes towards it and in respond, the modified Strike pulls out the large swords at its waist. Lowe is shocked; Un’no then implores him to stop Librarian Works and states that he believes that Lowe will definitely succeed. Replica Red Frame kicks aside the modified Strike’s swords and grabs onto its body. Un’no then bids Lowe farewell and both MS are enveloped by a bright light. Lowe can do nothing but watch. At the same moment 2 MS are approaching Ame-no-Mihashira, one is Astray Gold Frame while the other is a modified Buster. Gold Frame’s pilot proudly declares that he has return and wants the door to open; he also demanded the handover of Ame-no-Mihashira. Mina is stunned as the MS’s pilot is her dead twin brother, Gina.

Here's chapter 2.

Lowe’s eyes widen in shock as the explosion is suddenly sliced apart. Gale Strike reappears with Un’no’s Red Frame, both MS are undamaged and Lowe remarks that the former’s pilot will be difficult to handle. As a first rate junker, he had quickly figured out what happened; Un’no originally intended to destroy Gale Strike by self-destructing his Red Frame but Gale Strike’s pilot reacted faster and had his MS cleave off Red Frame’s battery pack. What had exploded is just the battery pack.

Lowe comments that Gale Strike’s pilot has very good skill and that the MS is modified for close combat. He adds that its sword has sharpness beyond what its appearance imply and wonders what the secret behind it is. While Un’no is disappointed that his attack failed, Lowe is glad that he is still alive but is scolded by the former for not leaving while he can. Lowe is not confident of defeating Gale Strike; he is interested in its performance but knows that if he fights it himself, it would take a long time to get a clear picture. Moreover, he is unsure if he can last that long. Lowe wishfully wonders if someone as skilled as Gale Strike’s pilot will appear and help him out. He got lucky and that ‘someone’ soon appears, 8 is the first to notice another MS closing in and identifies it as a friendly unit. Gale Strike’s pilot also notices that MS and is surprised by its appearance. As Librarian Works places great importance on information, they loathe the unexpected. Up till now, the pilot has been confident of defeating Lowe and his Red Frame and had even thought that things will soon end. As the pilot is wearing a mask, no one knows what kind of expression he now has on his face. His name is ‘ND HE’ and he is commonly called ‘HE’, information about him is classified in the organization and the only thing certain is that he is a Carbon Human created using someone’s data. Trait(s) inherited from the original is now telling HE that the incoming MS is dangerous.

Blue Frame 2nd Revise stands between Lowe’s Red Frame and Gale Strike, Lowe comments that Gai is slow while HE notes that the inner voice warning him of danger is correct. He did not expect to meet Gai and his MS this soon and nervousness creeps into his voice as he says his thought out loud. Blue Frame 2nd Revise points its large sword at Gale Strike and the latter immediately holds its swords in a fighting stance. Both MS did not make any further move, combat specialist will always avoid fighting with someone they have no information of. Whoever moves first will let the other gather data about his skills, losing the edge in information will cause one to be closer to defeat. Gai breaks the silence, he wants HE to leave and the latter agrees. Gale Strike then leaves the area with Un’no’s Red Frame. Lowe thinks that it is a pity that he cannot witness the fight between 2 MS with large swords and blurts it out. He thanks Gai and remarks that it is incredible that Gai knows that he is in danger. Gai replies that he is actually on his way to another place when he chance upon them. He reveals that Librarians are also at Ame-no-Mihashira.

Mina did not respond to Carbon Human Gina’s demand. From Librarian Works’ database, Gina knows that his sister has abandon living as a ruler and thus believes that she has become soft. He attributes this to living alone and thinks that it makes her no different from a normal person. Although he sympathizes with her, he will not stop what he is doing because of this. Since the door remains closed, it means that Mina has rejected his demand. He calls his sister a fool and with no other choice, he orders Finis Socius to attack. In a deliberate submissive tone, Finis says that he will do as his master commands and aims Hail Buster’s guns at Ame-no-Mihashira. As he is the last of the Socius clones, ‘tools’ created specifically for fighting, he sees this behavior of his as some kind of humor but no else regards it this way. He complaints about getting dragged into a fight between siblings and calls it boring. However, he grins in anticipation of the slaughter and remarks that since the fight is starting, he may as well enjoy it as much as he can. Hail Buster’s attacks are all shot down by Astray Gold Frame Amatsu. Mina questions Gina what he is doing, traces of confusion, sadness and joy can be heard in her voice. Gina replies that he is breaking in since no one is opening the door for him, and adds that the sister he knows will also do the same if she is in his position. Although Gina misses his sister, he is now rather upset as he detects softness in her voice. With utmost compassion, he offers Mina another chance to rule the world together. Mina rejects the offer with a heavy heart, but Gina did not notice it. He then tells her to prepare for her death; this is his farewell to his useless sister and a smile appears on his face. Mina is reluctant to fight her brother and since the performance of her MS is far better than his Gold Frame, she tries to think of a way to win without hurting his pride.

Both MS rushes towards each other and a single decisive blow decided the winner. Mina lost, she notices that Gold Frame have transform into a different machine. Gina’s Gold Frame is actually Mirage Frame, the 5th and last Astray Gundam. Gai arrives shortly after and Gina immediately expresses his delight at meeting him as he can finally exact his revenge. He then notes that Blue Frame is upgraded again and comments that it is worthy of being defeated by him. A katana then appears at Mirage Frame’s waist and Gina calls it ‘Ama-no-Habakiri’, which is also the name of the sword used in killing the eight headed serpent in Japanese legend. Gai gives out a rare laughter; Gina wonders why and Gai questions if he is working so hard because he wants to be killed again. This quickly angers Gina and Gai adds that no matter how times he tries, he will always be defeated. The battlefield is then filled with Gina’s enraged roar.

Chapt 3

Gina pulls out ‘Ama-no-Habakiri’, a katana created using data from ‘Gerbera Straight’, and rushes towards Blue Frame 2nd R. Despite not knowing how sharp the katana is, Gai knows that by using ‘Armour Schneider’ at the correct angle, he can definitely block the blow. This is a move that can only be accomplished by one as skilful as Gai. Gina is disgusted that his attack is blocked by the combat knife and attacks again. Gai tries to block but the katana unexpectedly cuts through the knife and he immediately moves his MS further back. Gina complements Gai for dodging the blow and Gai notices that the katana has VPS as the blade’s colour has changed. Gina explains that Librarian Works place great emphasis on information, the earlier blow is just to collect data and subsequently the data is used to change the setting of the blade’s VPS for a lethal blow. He proudly declares that there is nothing in the world that his katana cannot cut. Gai did not say anything; he pulls out Tactical Arms II, transforms it into Sword Arm mode and activates the beam blades. Gai thinks that the beam blades will counter the data gathering ability of the katana.

Gina is not surprised at all by Tactical Arms II’s transformation and says that he already has a way to counter it. He switches Mirage Frame into its ‘Gladiator Mode’; it seems that everything is going as he planned. Gai has never seen before such transformation, it is very simplistic and fast. Gina then reveals that Gladiator Mode is created based on Blue Frame Third’s data. Gai has already guessed as much after a single glance, he never thought that 2 MS developed from Blue Frame Third will meet in such a manner. Mirage Frame’s head sensors catch Gai’s attention; he has never seen such a design before and assumes that it helps in melee combat. He takes his eyes off Mirage Frame as past experiences taught him that over focusing on the enemy in front of him will cause him to be vulnerable to a surprise attack. He then notices that Hail Buster has disappeared and the sensors confirmed the presence of mirage colloid particles. Gai thinks that Hail Buster’s disappearance is in preparation for an attack and that it is done to support Mirage Frame’s Gladiator Mode. He finally concludes that Mirage Frame’s current form is over specialised for melee combat, and that Hail Buster is accompanying it to make up for its shortcoming. This also strengthens his belief that the head sensors are specialised for melee combat.

Gina attacks and Gai responds by moving the Sword Arms apart. Gina treats Gai’s action as a challenge and pushes the MS’s thrusters to full power. Blue Frame 2nd R blocks the attack using the right Sword Arm, the collision between blades generated a large amount of sparks. Using its acceleration to its advantage, Mirage Frame presses its attack. This course of action fits with Gai’s intention; he channels the pressure from the attack to the side and moves in that direction at the same time using the fin thrusters. This surprises Gina and as his MS is accelerating, he cannot respond in time. Mirage Frame’s unprotected lateral side is exposed and the distance between the 2 MS widens. Gai then declares that mercenary will not fight under conditions that favour the opponent, this is an iron rule for them and once he knows that Mirage Frame’s Gladiator Mode is specialised for melee combat, he has already decided not to play along. Gina notices the Gatling Arm in Blue Frame 2nd R’s hand and quickly switches back to Commander Mode but Mirage Frame is not the target. The gatling gun spews out a mixture a of solid and beam shots and sparks erupt at a seemingly empty space. Hail Buster then appears at that location as Finis chooses to activate the PS armour rather than continue maintaining invisibility. Finis curses angrily while wondering how Gai manages to locate him. What seems to be an impossible act to Finis is actually just a logical action to Gai, he had already knew that Hail Buster is preparing to launch support fire for Mirage Frame and by taking into account Mirage Frame and Blue Frame 2nd R’s position, he had easily found Hail Buster’s likely location. Gai calmly orders Finis to stay put and despite the gentleness in his voice; Finis detected the murderous intention hiding behind it.

Since no one will now disrupt their fight, Gai decides to engage in melee combat as Gina wishes and moves Blue Frame 2nd R towards Mirage Frame. Gina is happy that he is willing to play along; Gai replies that he is ready to see what Gina has prepared for him and will destroy him completely. Gina counters that he will be the one doing the killing and will make sure that Gai can never seek revenge. The true battle between the 2 Astray gundams finally started.

Somewhere in Orb, there is a hotel room that is permanently reserved for Serpent Tail’s exclusive use. The room’s walls are strengthened and can even serve as a fortress during a war. Other members of the team are now staying here while Gai is in space. A fighter plane appears in the sky above the hotel and transforms into a MS, the pilot then broadcasts that he is here to pick someone up. Elijah immediately recognises that voice as Gud’s and is greatly shaken; Carbon Human Gud then asks if Elijah wants to join him. The city’s alarm sounded and a team of Murasame is deployed in respond to the presence of the unknown MS. Gud states that he is here to destroy Serpent Tail while Gai is not around but seeming as how he will be interrupted, he decides to come again another day. He then transforms his MS back into its MA form and speeds away, leaving Elijah speechless. Although Murasame also has a MA form, their inferior flying capability prevent them from catching up with Gud’s MS. A few days later, Gud reappears and is accompanied by Kaite in his Regen Duel. Elijah is unsure how he can defeat both of them as they are very familiar with his fighting style. At the same time, Lily Thevalley is ordered by Prayer to launch in her Nebula Blitz.

Re: Astray novels and photonovels

Chapt 4 concludes the fight between Gai and Gina, but first we have some unfinish business with Un'no.

ND HE and Un’no are standing in front of Prayer. In a gentle, mischievous voice, Prayer says to Un’no that betrayal is bad. The latter apologises and says that as the memory replication process is not carried out that well, he does not remember much about the betrayal. Un’no pretends to be confused and tries to push the blame to those that created him. Prayer is relieved to hear that he did not betray them and questions if he can continue with the operation immediately. Un’no then feigns sickness by kneeling on the ground and grabbing his abdomen; he explains that it may be an after-effect of the earlier battle. HE intervenes and asks Un’no not to go overboard. Unexpectedly, Prayer does not mind and tells Un’no to work hard after he has recovered. Prayer then wonders who to send for the next attack; despite the troubled look on his face, he already has a person in mind. He mentions Lily’s name and Un’no reacts immediately. The intense reaction causes Prayer to question if there is any problem; Un’no says that as Lowe is a junker, it is overkill to send someone who is under the direct command of the Supreme Librarian to attack him. Prayer then apologises and says that he had already called for her. A cheerful girl in a pilot suit immediately enters the room and asks if Prayer has a mission for her, he responds that he has but Un’no is against it. Lily comments that it must be because Un’no does not want other people to succeed where he had failed and calls him narrow-minded. Un’no tries to refute but Lily notes that he is angry and wonders if it is because she hits the bulls-eye. Un’no could no longer tolerate it and suggests that since she is so confident, they should battle it out. Lily agrees and seeks permission from Prayer, who then tells them to sort it out themselves. After they leave the room, Prayer remarks to himself that Un’no seems to have suddenly recovered from his illness.

As replica Red Frame is still being repaired, Un’no launches in a GINN HM Type 2 as it is also equipped with a katana. Lily launches in her Nebula Blitz; although Un’no knows that her MS has a special system, he does not know the details and assumes that it just cloaks the MS, allowing her to carry out a sneak attack. He thinks that he will not lose to such a despicable trick but this belief soon changes when the battle starts. Unlike her previous behaviour, Lily now speaks in a deep and cold voice; she questions if Un’no is terrified by the capability of her MS. Before Un’no can notice the change in her voice, he is caught off guard by Nero Blitz’s sudden disappearance while in front of him and its immediate reappearance behind him. He comments that its speed is too fast and Lily simply remarks that he is too slow. Un’no realises that his defeat is imminent and thinks that Lowe if here, he would be able to see through the trick. Nero Blitz then grabs GINN HM Type 2 using its energy absorption claw and crashes it as Un’no bids Lowe farewell.

The intense combat between Mirage Frame and Blue Frame 2nd R rages on and so far no one has gained the upper hand. At the side, Finis can do nothing but watches; both MS are engaged in extreme close combat and are constantly switching position, if he tries to attack he may end up hitting Mirage Frame. Finis notes that the battle is beyond the level of normal human and labels it as a fight between monsters. In truth, both pilots are nearing their limits and although they are Coordinators, they are still humans and are thus prone to making mistake as they get increasing tired, as their tensed up nerves get increasing frayed and as the tension gets to them. Gai knows from past experiences that these are the scariest enemies in battle. Blue Frame 2nd R’s right Sword Arm is broken by Mirage Frame’s blade and even though the MS is unharmed, it lost its balance. Gina excitedly declares that he is the victor and raises his blade greatly before bringing it down, but his attack misses. Gina has actually fallen for Gai’s trap; the latter has been waiting for the former to make such a large movement and had purposely let the right Sword Arm be destroyed and faked the loss of the balance. Utilising the fin thrusters, Gai spins his MS around and manages to land a kick on Mirage Frame’s head. Gina is surprised that he did not feel the impact from Gai’s attack. Thanks to the acceleration from the spin, Blue Frame 2nd R manages to cleave off Mirage Frame’s head with the retractable combat knife in its foot so fast that Mirage Frame did not receive any additional impact from the attack. Gina can scarcely believe what had happen and is immobilised by it.

Finis quickly reacts to the situation and fires all his weapons at Blue Frame 2nd R, which has really lost its balance this time due to its spin. After witnessing Gai’s skills, Finis is under no illusion that his attacks can destroy Blue Frame 2nd R. He is only trying to help Gina to escape. Although he dislikes Gina, he has not forgotten his mission to support him. As he grumbles, he continues to fire and does not plan to stop until all his ammunition is exhausted.

On a deserted island near Orb’s border, Elijah waits patiently for Gud who had messaged him to suggest that they meet at a place in which no one can disturb them. Gud arrives in his Vent Saviour and is accompanied by another MS that Elijah recognises as a modified Duel. As he wonders who the other pilot could be, Gud informs him that although he wishes to have a private conversation with him, his organisation is against it as someone betrayed it earlier. Gud adds that his companion will be monitoring his actions and that Elijah knows him. Kaite then greets Elijah, shocking him. Kaite wants Elijah to relax as he will not be involved in the fight. Elijah says nothing as he feels humiliated; Kaite’s words are suggesting that Gud is more than enough to handle him. He is now determined to win the battle to prove him wrong. Gud asks for Elijah’s respond to his previous offer and pleads for him to be his comrade. On the day that Elijah received the offer, he had already decided that he will reject it. He puts the rejection across by mentioning to Gud that he is the ‘Hero Killer’. Gud accepts the decision and replies that he does not mind using violence to settle the matter. The battle then starts; Elijah works hard to catch up to Gud’s movement and looking at his actions, Kaite muttered to himself that he may have to be involved and starts getting serious.

Re: Astray novels and photonovels

Here's chapter 5. Enjoy!

In the hangar of Junk Guild’s space station, a satisfied Lowe looks at the newly completed Red Frame Kai. Beside him, Kisato grumbles that he is dirtying his face by using his grease stained hand to wipe off the sweat on his forehead. Despite her complains she has a happy look on her face, in fact, taking care of Lowe is the happiest time of her life. It would be perfect if Lowe acknowledges her as his lover, but she knows that that will be asking too much of him as he only has eyes for machines and gadgets. Liam reminds Lowe about the international law that prohibits junkers from fighting but he is cut off by the Professor who feels that he is making too much of a fuss. 8 chips in by saying that Liam can relax as it will be around and Yoon voices in support of 8. Ergnes questions if Lowe is confident of winning the battle using Red Frame Kai and the atmosphere quickly becomes tensed. Lowe replies that it is hard to say and remarks that as he has already put all his knowledge into the MS, all that is left to do is for him to try his best. Ergnes comments that Lowe is still the same and relaxes. He adds that he will not tolerate any defeat as Red Frame Kai has inherited the ‘soul’ of Turn Delta. A few days ago, Ergnes was attacked by an unknown party and Turn Delta suffered heavy damages. Subsequently, he visited Lowe for repair and once he heard what happened, he concluded that Librarian Works must also be the one responsible for the attack on him. He then decides to prioritise the strengthening of Red Frame over repairing his MS, and offered Turn Delta’s parts to help make Red Frame stronger. Lowe lists out the modifications he had done to Red Frame; he had installed Turn Delta’s Voiture Lumiere System, equipped his MS with Tactical Arms IIL (it was created alongside Tactical Arm II) and ‘Tiger Pierce’ (Carbon Human Un’no left it behind), and lastly re-sharpen ‘Gerbera Straight’. He then ends by commenting that he cannot strengthen his MS any further. Lowe is sure that Librarian Works will attack again, but he is already prepared for it and is not afraid of them. He is actually more interested in seeing what new technology their MS has. Lowe’s strength stems from this character of his and combined with his superior skills and help from his numerous friends, all these factors make him the luckiest person in space.

On earth, the aerial battle between Elijah and Gud carries on. Elijah fires his beam cannons but Gud easily evades them, this confirms his suspicion that normal attacks against Gud are useless. Elijah knows that his piloting skill is inferior to Gud’s, however as he has already decided on fighting him, he cannot back off now. This is also the pride of a mercenary. Elijah is aware that if he joins Librarian Works, he will be under Gud’s protection and can enjoy an easy life but that is not what he desired. No matter how hard it is, he wants to live using his own strength and feels that there are things that can only be obtained through this method. He is not upset that he does not have the superior physiology of a Coordinator and thinks that he can gain any power by working hard. He derives joy from his hard work and is thankful that he comes to know of such happiness. He declares to Gud that he will show him how much he has improved since the latter’s death, and switches to his preferred fighting style. He fires the beam cannons twice but Gud easily dodges them and retaliates with his beam rifle. As Elijah evades the shots, he fires the missiles on the legs to hinder further attacks. A beam grazes the side of Elijah’s ZAKU; it travels quite close to the cockpit as Elijah is able to detect the smell of the air burning. From Gud’s movement, Elijah senses that he is holding back and wonders if the beam that grazes his MS is purposely fired in that particular angle so as to allow him to barely dodge it. He warns Gud that he may not get the chance to regret it if he does not attack seriously. Gud does not understand Elijah’s words and points out that the first part of his sentence should be ‘I will make you regret your actions’. Elijah replies that he put it that way as Gud will die before he can even regret and Gud is rather surprise that he dares to say such thing. Elijah then explains that unlike him, he has already move on and adds that if he is really Gud and had grown older and seen more things, he would not have done such a stupid thing like asking him to join Librarian Works.

Carbon Human Gud cannot counter what Elijah just said and those words sink deeply into his heart. He admits that Elijah may be right and points out that if that is indeed the case, then through this battle he will grow wiser. He proceeds to attack Elijah with the plasma beam cannons. Elijah successfully evades the merciless shot as he had predicted that Gud may attack this way after his taunting. Even so, he barely dodges it and some of the sensors on the MS’s surface are destroyed by the beam’s heat. Gud fires the cannons again and as Elijah evades the attack, he retaliates with the shoulder cannons. Gud comments that attacks from that position will not hit him and Vent Saviour easily dodges them, but it is immediately hit by numerous missiles from the back. Gud is surprised but he quickly figures out what just happened. Some of the missiles that Elijah fired earlier have their tracking function disabled; instead they are programmed to circle a specific area. Elijah’s previous attack is just to force Vent Saviour to move into that particular area. Gud checks the MS’s damage, he is satisfied that it is of an ‘ideal’ level and is confident that his plan will proceed smoothly. He then curses as he loses control of his MS. Due to Vent Saviour’s large wings; it glides to a stop instead of crash landing. After confirming that the cockpit door is open and that Gud walks out of his MS with both hands raised, Elijah lands his MS. He then opens his cockpit door and declares that he is the winner. Gud acknowledges that and adds that it also signifies his victory, puzzling Elijah greatly. Gud then suddenly rushes towards the ZAKU’s cockpit and shoves a shocked Elijah out. He then hijacks the ZAKU and flies away.

Elijah is dumbfounded while Kaite, who immediately realises what is going on, give chase in his Regen Duel. He wonders if Gud’s true aim is to escape from the organisation but soon notices that he may have other aims, to warn Elijah and to leave him with a stronger MS. Elijah realises Gud’s true goal a few minutes later. In the hangar within Librarian Works’s base, Mirage Frame has been upgraded into Mirage Frame 2nd Issue. Gina stares at the machine as he imagines tearing Blue Frame 2nd R into pieces with it. To defeat Gai, Gina has his own body modified and his grin does not resemble a human’s anymore. He is now not a human but a vengeful monster.
