Regarding new/possible anime/film for Thunderbolt...

Post by trewqp123 » Wed Sep 02, 2020 2:50 am

First, this is not a thread for speculating or implying there will be a for sure sequel to the already released OVA films 1 and 2 December Sky and Bandit Flower for the Thunderbolt series.

With the first two films being out it has been now three years... the manga is still being released it seems.

With that being said, besides just knowing that the Thunderbolt manga is still running are there any other sources for knowing that there will be, has or is work going on for future Thunderbolt films?

There are no offical updates on news or anything from Yasuo Ohtagaki (Or the producers of the first two films it seems) so I am left to wonder... could filming already be done and release waiting or the opposite... a whole new team/voice actors etc will now be called in to finish the last two films?

Or do the manga and anime films have no continuity with each other in terms of gundam storyline?

Thunderbolt was animated by Sunrise Studio 1, which is reportedly the studio doing the Hathaway movies. If that's the case, they won't return to Thunderbolt for a long time. If something was being worked on, it would've been announced.
