Re: Fukuda Interview
I think it depends on how far along Destiny's planning was when X-Astray was written. Certainly the look of him (including those Quattro-like shades) and the general motive seem to go along with what we know of Gilbert. What better way to get Kira out of the way then send his effective prototype on ...

Re: Gundam SEED Vs Astray?!?!
It looks like the Nix Providence would easily topple over to one side with the dragoon pack on the shoulder. Is it wrong I'm reminded of the Flintstones? These designs remind me of when family members have knocked one of my models over and awkwardly stuck bits back on with no idea of where they rea...

Re: Improving G Gundam, and how to handle a continuation
There's at least one fight in G which has no real gimmicks- the brief fight between Master Asia and Domon in Guyana when they're both spent from all the previous fighting. They end up trying to destroy each other's heads with Shining/Darkness Finger but just collapse from exhaustion before they can ...

Re: Improving G Gundam, and how to handle a continuation
*rubs eyes* Information on the G sidestories and sequels? *blubber* It's beautiful!! Personally, I'm fine with how G ended. It was a fun series with a message about shaping your own destiny, appreciating others and working for a better tomorrow. We don't really need a sequel, just enjoy the story th...

Re: Gundam Alert
One thing I really admire about your stories is you always manage to make things interesting but realistic. There's a real sense that you try to write believable giant robot war stories, not just giving us physics defying super units. It reminds me alot of the earlier series like MSG itself, where t...

Re: Innovades and Veda
I think it goes beyond that. The idea in the series seems to be more that the Innovado are cosmetically human, partly to make them pleasing to genuine humans. Human DNA is used in their creation but they're much more advanced than one. Tieria is shown to multitask Seravee even after being seperated ...

Re: Whatever happened to Ecole du Ciel?
Ecole has really been only one page art/gag comics for a long time now, probably because the artist is focussing more on the newer Macross Ace magazine. Obviously that's bad news for those of us in countries where Gundam is hit and miss. Japan might wait it out but I can easily see Tokyopop pulling...

Re: The Official Gundam 00 Season 2 Dub Thread
IGLOO got an R1 release by a group called Bandai Visual. BV is no longer active in America, but while it was, it earned a reputation for its high prices and complete lack of anything like a dub or extras. BVUS is still active. They merged with BEI and adopted the latter's name and resources. Luckil...

Re: How is the dubbing in 0080?
I personally felt G Gundam had the weakest dub. Some of the actors do try as they get further into it but some, like Rain and Sai, are just consistently flat and poor. Add in various script errors and it doesn't stand up very well to my mind

Re: Potential Gundam SEED Destiny Movie plots?
I had an idea which basically tied togethor various dangling ideas and threads. Due to Cagalli and Lacus power and influence of Earth and Space respectively, an effective peace has been established. To act as a rallying point, the allies are working on a space exploration project using the technolog...
