Let's Play: Mobile Suit Gundam Crossfire
Hello, Mechatalk. I'm mostly active on the Facebook group, but I would like to do something in the vein of the old Something Awful Let's Play threads. I would like to post each of these parts on Mechatalk, and receive input from you guys on what to do next. I plan on only recording myself playing th...

Re: Mailbag Drop Box Mk II
I often hear how the Titans are not at all sympathetic from people who hate or dislike Zeta Gundam. I recently sat down to rewatch the show, and I do agree that the Titans are pretty unlikable across the board. However it occurred to me that Tomino probably didn't want his audience sympathizing with...

Re: Most idealistic and Most Cynical Gundam Series
Ignoring Frozen Teardrop, I'd definitely say it's a very idealistic series. Things like Treize fighting to show people the cost of war, the Sanc Kingdom doing Sanc Kingdom things, and Endless Waltz in general, are all rather idealistic.

Re: Most idealistic and Most Cynical Gundam Series
and rather nastily undercuts the third generation's hero in the final ten episodes, which is probably why the series left such a sour taste in so many fans' mouths. I do believe that is one of the few things people enjoyed about the last couple of episodes of AGE. Less Kio was a well received chang...

Re: The Official Gundam Reconguista Anime Thread Mk II
It most likely won't be long before the capitol army has there own G-[insert name here] most likely piloted by Mask. Tomino doesn't really do the whole Gundam vs. Gundam thing. If the Capitol Army does get a G-Selflike (a mobile suit from the Rose of Hermes), then I'm sure it wouldn't look like a G...

Re: The Official Gundam Reconguista Anime Thread Mk I
Ahem, well if I can join this discussion. I was sort of procrastinating on the whole watching this show thing, so I watched all three episodes in a row, and all the things I disliked initially about King Gainer and Brain Powerd surfaced; such as the weird goofy tone, the terrible world building, and...

Don't the "English Letter; hyphen; German Number" guys remind you people of the Gebler crew from Xenogears who would show up now and again?

When you finish this series, you must tell me what you think. I'm still on the fence about this show I've never seen and only recently heard of.

Re: Ep. 110 - Kio at the End of an AGE
I don't know about that Chris. Kio was pretty stalwart in his beliefs. When he was about to get killed by Fram and Zeheart, he could've renounced his no-kill policy and just use burst mode, but he didn't. That doesn't reek of cowardice, imho.

Dude, you're probably the only person I've met who actually likes Hilling. :D But hey, why not? In any case, welcome to our madhouse, er, forum. Arbiter, if /m/ is to be believed (AND THEY ALWAYS ARE) then Mechatalk is the opposite of a madhouse. It's a heavily policed board where no one can have f...

Re: Female Char Clone
Why have a female char clone in the first place other then the sake of having a female char clone? I wouldn't mind seeing one, but the poll question suggested to me that, by saying "yes", means I think Gundam is entitled to a female char clone ( Should There be a female Char clone) and I d...

Re: Kei Katsuragi's AGE Rewrite: The obligatory prologue.
Thank you sir. I have many ides on how I want AGE to go. This prologue is pretty unnecessary in the long run though. Outside of namedropping Natora's grandfather and introducing Flit to Largan earlier on, this is pretty much a longer version of the beginning of AGE. I wanted to try out the first per...

Re: Ep. 110 - Kio at the End of an AGE
I just got around to catching up and finishing this episode. I agree on most points that the Gundamn crew made, except for the first generation. The first generation felt really bland to me. The characters were ok and there were a few standouts like Grodek and Flit, but most of the cast throughout ...

Kei Katsuragi's AGE Rewrite: The obligatory prologue.
I liked AGE. I thought it was a decent little Gundam series. Could it have been better? Yes, but I'm not arrogant enough to say that I am making it better, but I want to tell the story in a different way. Here is my AGE rewrite! Criticism is much appreciated. I'm starting off with an 8000 word prolo...

Re: Ep. 111 - Yes! Your Majesty!
What was the OST track playing during the beginning of the closing/mailbag segment? Edit: Also, this is to Chris. I happened to like Tytania a bit more than you did, but not by much. I'm glad we agree on Jouslain because like many other characters, he deserves to be in a better series. But on a more...

New Questions! One for each of you. I'll start with Chris because he's the most important because he's the one reading the mailbag: Whenever you watch Mospeada (by yourself) and the opening starts to kick into gear do you, like me, wail along with the vocalist on the awesome English lines like "...

Re: My friend's review of WoW: Mists of Pandaria
I was a hardcore WoW player for years, and I share the feelings this guy here has, but as a review he didn't too much into the actual Pandaria expansion, only loosely covering elements like the graphics and retrofitted talent system.

Re: The Hopers & Dreamers Corner with SBR
Alright Kei I'll cosign on that. As for my own hopes and dreams I'd like to see more of the Gundam novels translated into english. This particular hope came about after I finished reading the novelization of Mobile Suit Gundam. *salutes* I'll return the favor. I want to read Sentinel so I can tell ...
