Re: do the U.C. Gundam OAV's create continuity problems with the First Series?

my point I'm making is where is this official statement that the proposal was rejected? a random tweet that no one can find in some forum that no one has heard of from a random Twitter account for the character designer that no one can find. I'm supposed to trust that? Why wasn't it reported on off...

ok so when an 'official' statement goes out. I'll believe what your saying. beyond that i won't believe anything is cancelled
If the proposal was rejected and no series was greenlit or announced for production, what "statement" are you waiting for, exactly?

Re: Act Zaku Development

(It might sound slightly odd for a single company to be developing two different programs for the same role, but it happens A LOT in automotive and aviation. I've got a situation currently at my day job where there are no less than FOUR such programs nominally competing with each other to be first ...

Re: Forgotten mecha shows?

Anyone here who have watched that Neo-Byston Well OVA of Dunbine? I've always wanted to check it out since having the Sirbine on SRW T. It's....not at all good. The Sirbine is a nice design, but with only 3 episodes it's essentially a poor rehash of Dunbine. Also the animation is really weird and t...

Re: Forgotten mecha shows?

This gets me thinking. While Gasaraki obviously have almost no way of a revival, would Obsolete count as it being not completely dead and forgotten? I haven't watched the second half of Obsolete yet, but the first half gave me serious Gasaraki vibes. Given that Ryosuke Takahashi was a producer on i...

Re: Forgotten mecha shows?

I think Fafner, especially since it is still getting content, would fall under the umbrella of "underrated" rather than "forgotten." To me, forgotten implies a series that is dead, abandoned, etc., that has little or no chance of any continuation/revival.

Re: Shoji Kawamori's original GP03 proposal

Not being one to let a good design go to waste, the Type B looks like it was modified to become Battle 7 in Macross 7.

Re: Forgotten mecha shows?

There's the related forgotten concerns of Super Dimension Cavalry Southern Cross and its ugly duckling other version Robotech . Southern Cross did so poorly in Japan that the show's one and only licensee has stated publicly that Tatsunoko, the studio that animated it, prefers to forget that it exis...

Re: LOGH OVA?

Sentai stated from the start that this uber expensive set for the original series is the only version they'll ever release. They could of course change their minds, but it's been out for a few years now and nothing has changed. They do frequently have big sales though, so maybe if they have unsold s...

12-31-20: Return to Walkure World

The year is coming to a close, and given everything that has happened in 2020 with COVID-19, here's to hoping for better times ahead. For the final update of 2020, I have two related items: a review for the first Macross Delta movie, Passionate Walkure, and a movie mecha section. Unfortunately, I'v...

Re: ZAFT'S Land and Sea craft.

Speaking of sea faring ships, would ZAFT's scale system-equipped land ships work float on water? They are propelled by scale system propulsion, and we know that scale system work on water since Blue Frame's aquatic combat equipment use scale system for propulsion. It's been a long time since I read...

Re: Patlabor movies and tv

Just how tied to continuity is the Patlabor series? Do you need to watch the tv/OVA series to understand the movies? and do the movies need to be watched in order or are they stand alone? Honestly the movies are different enough in tone that they can be watched by themselves. My first exposure to t...
