Re: Gundam Seed Astray Destiny R/B

I'm intrigued where they're going with this. I like the fact the 'Lowe tries to sell it' plot is partially poking fun at these chapters are also doing so in the real world but the idea of Lowe seriously making a mistake because he's swept up in a new invention...Lowe has never exactly been Mary Sue...

Re: Space Black Knight and other anime ripoffs

As much as I dislike those old Korean anime rip offs, I do enjoy Taekwon V. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TdpMarOO85w http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJzlBlQgsEA Yes, it did base its design from Mazinger Z but at least it was unique in its own right, being the first ever mecha that uses martial art ...

Go Nagai giving a lecture in Cairo, Egypt

It seems that the father of the Super Robot genre Go Nagai, has recently visited Egypt where he held a lecture at the respected Cairo Opera House in Egypt. Darn, it I'm actually coming to Egypt next year :? "My cartoons are not about violence; they call for peace," says Go Nagay, the most ...

Re: What's Your Current Manga?

I'm currently reading Pluto, a revision of Osamu Tezuka's popular Astro Boy story arc "The World's Strongest Robot" done by Naoki Urasawa, the author of Monster. Ah, I've been wanting to read that. It has the color pages left intact (sadly, not the case for 20th Century Boys... although t...

Re: Ep. 034 - Ga-Ga-Ga-Gundamn!!!

Wow, people are actually jumping onto the Unicorn bandwagon without even reading it or before the anime adaptation is released. I haven't read it yet so I don't have an opinion. I've enjoyed GaoGaiGar because it reminded me of the good old times when I grew up watching heroic Super Robot titl...

Don't forget the 3 SD movie shorts, Patlabor: Minipato that were shown in theatres before the start of WXIII, one short on each showing. According to Wikipedia to see the complete series of shorts, viewers were made to see WXIII three times. The animation style used in these shorts are a combination...

The OAVs and TV series follow different continuities from each other. I', confused about the Movie continuity, one side claims that they follow their own however another side claims that they follow the OAV continuity.

Well, the writers for SRW are usually really good at keeping everyone in character. But you're right, probably shouldn't say stuff like that on so very little. From everything I've heard about him, though, I can definitely tell he's the kind of character that would rub me the wrong way. My extreme ...

He didn't come off as an ass to me, just reluctant to let those close to him join him on his desire to protect Earth, I guess the Arabic dub made him come off in a more positive image.

Hey, I actually really liked these. They were a joy to look at, to be honest. =) Your drawings have a lot of personality to them, which is actually something that seems to be lacking in a lot of the stuff that shows up here. (One can only stand to see so many mecha profile pictures....) Strangely e...

Which series was it up against? I've always heard after having just sat through Zeta Gundam, Japan was also getting a little tired of real robot shows or something like that... kind of irks me Dragonar had a successful run, even though I think it's an excellent and fun series from what I've seen, L...

Kageyama did a great cover for the OP that's for sure

It's way worse then an Ideon/Be Invoked thing. It seems like at the last episode they realized the series was cancelled and were running out of time too. So they made a final episode full of broken plot events which is compromised of people just disappearing and all around awfulness. Worse yet a th...

Oh yeah the opening the...
