Aside from that, I think the Adele actually looks better with the Titus parts than the AGE-1 did.

you guys know how this works. spoiler tags for spoilers, back up your claims with links to actual things as needed, and don't be gigantic dickbags.

Well, obviously if it works one way it should the other, tit for tat and all that.ShadowCell wrote:and i'm sure there are allllllll kinds of Japanese names that we Westerners have invented that sound totally radical awesome to the max to us and completely pants-on-head stupid to the Japanese sooooooo i'd say it's a wash.

Think of it like how a lot of Americans tatoo random chinese characters without knowing what they mean because it's the coolest thing.

That's the best plan yet!
I suppose as long as it does awesome things... and I guess it's no weirder than Gelgoog or Zaku or Wise Wallaby.
Oh and how long now has it been since the beginning of the AGE mecha threads?

Now that I have that out of the way....did the previous thread mention anything about the powerplants MS use in AG? I've not been able to find much on that sort of stuff for AGE yet.

Haven't misses anything. Age hasn't give us any hard data on powerplant, armor material (plot-onium maybe?), operational range, cruising speed or anything else. I doubt they will give us anything aside from this weeks little factoict: the strider is three times as fast as the AGE-2 normal mode.AnimeMun wrote:Ok, now making my grand return to the internet....This is probably a secret but my name is ANIME-MUN!!!

Do Age manuals take the prize of the less informative ones ever? They don't even point where the weapons are.Homeless wrote:HG 1/1344 Zeydra manual:

Well, right off the bat we know the Zeydra Sword is that thing hanging off its rear end like a tail, and if it holds true to form the beam vulcan/saber should be in the hands.
That leaves just the Beam Buster and Zeydra Gun whose location we don't know yet.
But yeah, I'd have to agree.

I think we're missing the bottom section of the splash page which would show that.balofo wrote:Do Age manuals take the prize of the less informative ones ever? They don't even point where the weapons are.Homeless wrote:HG 1/1344 Zeydra manual:

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Mecha Thread Mk II
I tend to skip posting the weapon section most of the time since it generally only covers the obvious stuff. The Zeydra Gun is that stupid beam rifle they've given the Zeydra.
As for the AGE manuals being uninformative, I'd rather barebones but relevant information as opposed to Gundam's typical style of manuals that have a ton of information that rarely matters in-series and is contradicted ten thousand times because no source pays attention to the others.

Yeah, AGE manuals aren't very informative unfortunately which disappoints me a great deal (although I will say that some manuals are decently okay like the HG Adele manual recently in telling us it has the abilty to use AGE-1's Wears). I don't know whether any sourcebooks have said anything yet though. It also probably doesn't help that AGE does not have 1/100 series, which usually can have more information than HGs and can cover more suits than MG releases though. With the exception of the construction mobile suit Desperado, who we know uses a "Hydrogen Engine", we don't know what the other suits run on. Its unlikely to be batteries though because operation time limits (except maybe beam ammo because those seem finite; used as a situational plot in Episode 3) almost seem nonexistence even if most of the deployments we've seen are short ones.
Although, from the summaries I've been reading, the novelization does provide some technical details, although I'm not sure to what extents or on what. For example, the novel tells us that the Genoace's Beam Spray Gun is about as powerful as a tank shell shot. I don't know what else they might have elaborated in there since only one is out so far.
MG AGE-1 manual just got released, I'm hoping its got some new interesting stuff on it, being the first Gundam AGE MG release. Also glad that most effective ranged beam weapons on the EF side all have the DODS tech label on it, though I wish there was an Armor equivalent for stuff like the AGE-1's apparently superior armor (although the UE do have that Electromagnetic Armor system thing for some mechs).

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Mecha Thread Mk II
I don't suppose there's any explanation as to whether the Heydra's Superman kick was just a visual effect or an actual ability or maybe an X-Rounder thing?

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Mecha Thread Mk II
Its Zeydra, and its possible that its an MS ability although I find it more likely to be just super stylize despite the fact that the redness appears to be illuminated from Asemu's screen as well. Especially when the episode is going all out on the red and Char references.
Re: The Official Gundam AGE Mecha Thread Mk II
The vegans technology is quite far beyond the Feddies. The AGE system would have to work overtime to match the Zeyda and its Red Rider Kick. I hardly could believe that the Doble Bullet would fit the bill as Asemu's and Zeaheart's duel is about close quarter.
Does anybody else gets the vibe that the Age 1 bites the dust in the next episode? (Yes I know the one blowing in the preview is the Age-2 but that just justification for bringing the Dual Bullet).

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Mecha Thread Mk II
I'm guessing the reason for the DB parts aren't so much a duel with Zehart but more going against Desil's approach to battle which is probably gonna make a showing next ep. However since they haven't shown evidence of a different option like they did with AGE-1 they may be giving us a close-combat surprise soon enough. Although comparing the two AGE-1 is more a mid-range unit like hence the whole RX-78-2 resemblance. If anything I'm guessing AGE-2 is more long range in the theme of Gundam Wing hence that resemblance in some ways. Although if you ask me looking at Double Bullet I have to say its very Gaplant.
