Herakles Team

Orsino met AE's slash with his own, cackling with joy as the saber strikes met. Continuing his assault, he let out a vicious flurry of melee strikes at his opponent. He maintained a constant offense, trying to force the enemy to guard against him.

Criss meanwhile, manage to evade most of the incoming fire, her shield taking a few hits in the process. She let out a few shots at Tibhaut, and gave Mart and Stambles some parting ones before moving to a different angle.

Marco noticed his teammate struggle, and moved to support, opening a hail of beam fire fire on both Mart and Stamble.

Mandra Team

Brutus snarled. "We hold position until we are ordered. Arrogance and overconfidence costs lives." In truth, he had his own concerns, but his own blind faith in both the wisdom of his commanders and the fighting spirit of his countrymen kept his Gaza-C in place.

Hamburg Team

Kou, very much not tired, noticed the error of the Zeeks. He easily dodged their obvious, direct attacks. Next, he began firing not directly at Norlan, but with enough accuracy to coax him into Kelof's line of fire. That would shut at least one Gaza up, either by forcing one to hold his fire or the other to take some shots. Likewise, he noticed the other Gaza-Cs moving laterally, so he countered with climbing, rendering their attempt to flank him useless.

"We hold position until we are ordered. Arrogance and overconfidence costs lives."

"Sir!" Jules responded reluctantly. He was sure that being concerned about the welfare of his comrades in arms wasn't being arrogant, but Brutus knew best. Didn't he? Surely Brutus wouldn't have been made a team leader unless he had the skills to lead, and nothing had alerted Jules of any faults...

At least the AEUG was fighting more against the Titans then the Axis forces, or so it looked from Jules's vantage point. He briefly wondered if, should the battle get worse, he could get away with fighting on his own. Not a good idea, he thought. I'm starting to get the impression that Brutus would execute me.

Still, his thumb fondled the knuckle buster's trigger and main thrusters, anticipating at any moment the orders to enter the fray.

"Both of you get something to eat. We might be back out there soon for who knows how long this time."

As Grant exits his Marasai, techs rush in to adjust any errors that were detected and gather data from his flight recorder. Mechanics surround his suit checking joints for weak spots and replacing armored plate sections damaged by the anti-air guns from the Axis transport ship.
The successful sortie and uneventful trip back has allowed Iota team to quickly return before any of the other teams. While the suits were being checked, Grants heads to the bridge to report his status.

Jason lifts his visor as he steps onto the catwalk, exhausted but relieved that they are out of the battle but worried that he didn't see their opportunity to leave this nightmare behind. He looks over at Grace's Marasai feeling that their chance is slipping away.

- Team 2 -

Bernard finally detected and caught up with his squad. The left hand of his Rick Dias was missing but caused no trouble, it pulled along side Eddie, "Damaged but still good to go."

Allister stood at the entrance still in his flight suit with the helmet flipped back and a water bottle in hand. Taking a few hard sips the Lieutenant noticed all the activity before wandering inside He had never been on the bridge of a ship during battle and it surprised him how it was relatively calm except for the radio chatter coming through. He looked at the map of the battle on the monitor. With the interference it was hard to tell who was who so he walked over to the comm officer, pointing to a far unmarked location on the map and relayed out what he saw. "There was a second transport ship here and an Endra class nearby. Once we've been refueled we'll make a run unless you have other orders."

"Hm"

Well they managed to keep another Nemo from teaming up against Orsino, effectively keeping things even between the two opposing teams. Still that didn't make the overall situation any better. A brief glance away showed the Nunavut team being harassed by Rick Dias and they couldn't hold out forever against them.

"Criss, Marco, form up on me. We'll take em one at a time!"

Charging forward towards Mart's Nemo, the Hizack opened fire with steady stream of machine gun rounds.

Re: Episode 28 - Passage to Tartarus

-The Mudra-
-Bridge-

“Can they fix it?” Finalan asked shakily into the phone. Although busy, the bridge crew noticed the pause, and those who looked back saw the anguished look as the Captain listened to the latest damage report. “Then do it as soon as you can!” He snapped, slamming the phone on his chair and grabbing a pair of binoculars to look at the bow of his ship. The damage to the hangar hatch wasn’t clear from his view, but the bent barrel of the forward main gun was obvious.

“Incoming mobile suits!” Someone reported, prompting several of the crew members to instantly go tense.

“It’s Raymont!” The communications tech snapped, and word was quickly passed to the gunnery crews that friendly suits were coming back. Moments later, Pamnell and Weghoz entered comm range as well, but none of them had word on the three missing Gaza-C’s.

“Update our status to the rear,” Finalan sighed, still concerned over the lack of any response. The three Gazas took up position forward of the ship, among what was left of the debris of the Zarm.

==================================================================

-The Mandra-
-Bridge-

The messages from the Mudra were being received, barely and inconsistently, by the Mandra. Lieutenant Commander Bacon assumed that the Bindra and Trammel were picking them up somewhat as well, but had relayed them anyway to M’Quve anyway, only to get nothing more than the odd acknowledgement of the message being received.

It was all gnawing at Rudd, who was now slightly fidgeting in his command chair. They knew one of the transports was down, they’d seen the thing go down, and several Gazas had been lost. Surely, they should have gone forward to reinforce by now. Bacon couldn’t see any reason why they hadn’t…

“Comm, get me Orion…” He ordered quietly, a tone his crew knew well. The face of his team leader appeared moments later.

“Yes sir?”

“It’s time we move forward and reinforce the Mudra detachment. Send your team in quick and I’ll be moving in right behind you,” Bacon grinned with confidence, his mind made up over the actions that had to be necessary.

“Sir!” Orion’s head nodded and the screen went dark.

“Prepare the ship for combat and give me full speed as soon as possible! We need to get those bastards away from the Mudra!” Bacon yelled as he stood up, waving a hand toward the distant lights of the other Axis unit as the ship’s engines began to move the ship forward. While the ship kicked to life, it never occurred to Bacon, or the young soldier manning the comm station, to inform either the Trammel or the Bindra of their actions…

==================================================================

-Mandra team-

As soon he had been issued the order, Orion switched to the channel used by the entire Mandra team.

“Alright team!” He began, loudly as always, and not really caring about the snippets of conversation he cut off. “We have orders to head in and reinforce the forward unit, so let’s do it quick! Anavel, keep your team to the left and we’ll move to the right! Let’s do this, people!”

Rusty quickly went into action, transforming into mobile armor mode and rocketing off. He didn’t even look back to make sure the rest of his team had done the same, but his confidence in himself and his team were high. His two wingmen, Rout and Fields, had promptly followed suit, following Orion as he angled slightly to the right to give them some distance from the area Peoron’s half of the team would be moving through.

==================================================================

-Zarm team-

Kou’s scattering fire at Norlan and Kelof worked perfectly. Norlan saw the fire and juked to avoid, in the process blocking Kelof’s sight, who had to hold his fire. “Damn it, get back here!” Norlan grunted as the Nemo pulled up and away from him. He swung his mobile armor under the AEUG suit and tried to approach it from directly below, still loosing shots from his beam guns at the machine. Kelof took a more direct route in pursuit of the Nemo, thinking that he had a good pursuit angle, trying to accelerate to maximum speed and fire at the same time, which only resulted in several erratically timed and even more poorly aimed shots.

Tek swore as he saw that develop on his monitors, well aware that their attempt at a lateral shift had now further separated him and Lebim from Norlan and Kelof. “S***, come on!” He grunted as he sharply turned his Gaza-C to follow the other pair in pursuit of the Nemo, with Lebim following suit. He hoped the direct route would let them close with their teammates faster, allowing them to reform to take out the annoying Nemo. The result was the five MS formed a single file line heading upwards, relative to the combat around them.

-Team 2-

Korbel’s Dias approached Eckardy as he was closing in on the rest of Team 2.

"Damaged but still good to go,” He reported, giving Eddie a quick chance to see for himself. Bernard’s suit had lost a hand but otherwise looked fine.

“Great. Let’s see how those two are,” Eckardy said quickly as they moved toward Sophie and Cowboy, who were still just barely out of radio range thanks to the Minovsky Particles and not moving a great deal, which had Eddie slightly worried...

Re: Episode 28 - Passage to Tartarus

-Team 3-

Trask never got a chance to see if his shots connected with the tiger striped barzam, a warning chime drawing his attention to an incoming Marasai, beam sabres in each hand.

not having enough time to ready his own sabre, he did the first thing that came to mind, firing off a few dummy balloons from the left manipulator directly into the marasai in order to obscure the pilots vision, and drifted 'down' before firing the beam cannons at the center of the balloon cloud while drawing his beam sabre and then flipping the bazooka around, holding the long range weapon like a baton.

--

"heh heh heh, i can't believe that actually worked" wales chortled to himself as his charge cleaved the headless hizack in half at the waist, the red mobile suit still moving forwards and away from the titans suit as it was rocked by secondary explosions

"scratch one" he informed Irene as he backed off on the throttle before setting his sights on the retreating Iarocci, noting that it also gave him a clear run on the Herakles team as well

"and where do you think you're going?" he growled to himself as he increased the throttle to 80% thrust, switching his beam pistol for the bazooka.

-Hamburg team-

given that all her attention was divided between getting back to Lt Uraki, making sure her beam rifle still had enough charge to operate and Al's status, paris was completely unaware that she had taken out Ens. Moore's Gaza with her last barrage of beam fire

when she drew close to Uraki's position she caught sight of four Gaza's chasing him in a straight line

"what the...why are they playing 'follow the leader?'" she asked Al, clearly puzzled by this almost comical turn of events. rather than watch further she decided to take advantage of the situation and opened fire on the lead gaza, confident that her shots were bound to hit at least one of them

Re: Episode 28 - Passage to Tartarus

- AEUG 4th Squadron Vicinity –
- Dervish Team 1 –

Celeste would not have survived countless battles up to this point had she lacked the instincts and reactiveness that kicked in at that very moment. Only a fraction of a second after shooting at Stukov’s Griffin, Celeste acted without conscious realization to avoid a second Griffin – this one painted in a strange blue-pink-yellow color scheme – that careened at her from a different direction.

Celeste’s Dias dipped to the side just as the saber-weilding Griffin screamed by close enough for its shoulder to clip Celeste's Dias in the elbow. The 4th’s White Angel lit her beam saber to turn and face this sudden opponent and found that, even with the impressive performance of the Rick Dias and its ace pilot, the Griffin had already come back around with a follow-up slash. With a gasp, Celeste brought her saber up just barely in time to block the savage blow; the force sent a shudder through the entire machine and sent it tumbling backward.

It was one thing to read the technical reports and analyze the cockpit recordings of this M-158, but actually experiencing its business end was something else altogether. With her extensive combat experience, Celeste kept her head as the pink-highlighted Griffin wasted no time moving in for another aggressive attack.

New Yark Team –

The return fire from Alex, Marco, and Criss was an impressive array of beams and bullets that certainly put Thibaut, Mart, and Stamble on the defensive. All three threw their Nemos into evasives and tried to widen the distance from their opponents while sticking closer to one another.

Mart, particularly, tried to reorient his Nemo Cannon behind his teammates. One of Alex’s bullet’s tore off his head antenna just as he shifted diagonally behind Stamble to position himself behind and “above” his teammates before firing another shoulder cannon shot at Alex, accompanied by a double-tap of his beam rifle at the same target. Stamble also tried to widen the gap while continuing to target Criss.

“Where are the Rick Diases?” Thibaut brought up his shield at just the right oblique angle for one of Criss’s beams to deflect off, then cycled targets to fire a three-shot flurry at Marco, who had somehow gone unmolested up to this point.

-

Orsino blocked the first strike and filled Hard AE’s cockpit with his gleeful cackle. New Yark’s team leader swung his saber repeatedly in response to Orsino’s flurry of counterattack, meeting each strike at half-swing.

After the third or fourth such clash, however, Hard AE twisted his Nemo’s wrist to keep the two sabers locked, even if only for a moment, and blasted his thrusters to full to launch his entire mobile suit directly into his opponent’s while twisting it in a wild spin.

Hooooooooo~!” His call countered Orsino’s laughter as he brought his left shield-bearing arm down in an overhead smash against the Hizack.

"There was a second transport ship here and an Endra-class nearby. Once we've been refueled we'll make a run unless you have other orders."

“That will do, Lieutenant,” Trent never looked away from the situation spread out before his as he spoke evenly to Allister, “Cooperate with Buxoro Team out there and put pressure on Zeon, but don’t get in too deep. It looks like they’re starting to close their ranks after your sortie, and I don’t want you to get stuck in the middle.”

* * *

- AEUG 4th Squadron Vicinity –
- Nunavut Team 1 –

Iarocci moved in behind the attacking Hizacks of Herakles Team as they pressed their attack on a quartet of Nemos.

“Nunavut 1 to Herakles, we have a pair of their big ones bearing down on us from your six. We need to move before they squeeze us in the middle!”

Then a bright light filled one of Iarocci’s rear monitor panels, and he knew he’d lost a man.

-

Chandekar was trying in vain to track Irene’s Dias with his still-chattering machine gun when bursts of vulcan fire raked across his Hizack’s arms, ruining some of the internal mechanics and, more importantly, tearing up the main armament itself. It was only an eyeblink later that two beam pistol shots sliced through the upper torso, through the powerplant. The Hizack’s generator exploded with such violence that the entire mobile suit itself appeared to vanish in the bloom – a sight nauseatingly familiar to a mobile suit combat veteran.

Re: Episode 28 - Passage to Tartarus

- Team 1 -

Jacob continued to hang back as the Griffin's of Alpha charged into the Rick Diases of his fellow Team 1 members. He fired a couple of blasts at the oncoming Mobile Suits but he was so careful not to hit his own team that they would hardly even need to dodge them.

It took him only a moment to analyze the situation. One of the fools had gotten into a saber duel with Celeste. Jacob didn't care what the tech difference was between the two suits, no Titans pilot stood a chance against the Pearl of the Shoal.

Fritz was an OYW veteran and had pulled them through numerous battles. He wasn't as sure of his CO's fighting ability compared to the enemy but there was someone who was no more experienced than he was. Michiko had started the same time he did and he had no doubt that the Griffin would quickly overpower her.

He blasted forward, opening the throttle enough to push him back in his seat. At the same time, he drew his beam saber, keeping his bazooka in his other hand. He rose up "over" Michiko and Stukov to get an angle on the Titans suit. The combat was too tight for it to be very effective but he fired a couple of beams at Stukov just to harass him before charging in, coming down at the Griffin and slashing at him with his beam saber.
Yep...That's Texas in a nutshell. Why just say "f**k you" when you can put it on a flag?

Kou was now left in an awkward position. With his enemies all lined up for him, should he dare take the risk of trying to kill them all at once? A few well placed shots, combined with penetration, would break through all four Gazas. But then again, if they broke he would lose the opportunity for good. This was his only hope...

Then an alternative struck him: forcing the gazas to crash. In a gutsy maneuver he turned around, dodging fire to charge the enemy directly. With any luck, the stooge in the front would reverse, causing the major crash.

Herakles Team

Orsino's mirth continued, throwing his own Hizack at AE's to show how unafraid he was. His vision went dark. His primary sensor was gone. "I don't need to see you. I can smell your weakness!"

Marco, meanwhile, began his dodging of the Nemo's beams. It looked like Orsino was in trouble, with the shield having caved in his Hizack's head. Thinking quickly, he fired three shots of his own at AE's Nemo before disengaging.

Criss continued to apply the evasive maneuvers Marco taught her. Her suit dipped, dive, and spun around Stamble's shots before firing back with one shot.

Jules punched his Gaza forward in mobile armor mode, hoping that Grange would also follow. The momentary surge of panic Jules had felt earlier had gone away, replaced with an almost calm feeling as he sped into battle. He spent the next few seconds waiting to see if Brutus would choose a target for the team, or if Jules would have free range.

"Roger that", Astor grinned with excitement as he transformed his Gaza-C into it's mobile armor mode, and blasted off, staying in the rear of the other two pilots. Nothing could beat this rush, he felt what was left of his old, and petty bourgeoisie attitude, that he had wished to rid of himself since his days as a school boy, vanishing into thin air. Charging into battle he felt fearless, by being able to risk his life for something beyond himself, and giving his body to this fight, he could transcend and conquer that fear of death, and the mundane-ness of a meaningless life, he had longed for this day for so long now.His doubts of the state of Zeon slowly vanished from his mind, only conquering the Federation, AEUG, and taking down as many enemies as possible stayed as a constant."Nothing could be this sweet", he said to himself quietly.

“Nunavut 1 to Herakles, we have a pair of their big ones bearing down on us from your six. We need to move before they squeeze us in the middle!”

Nothing like more bad news for the barely cooperative Herakles Team. They were already dealing with occasional potshots from Rick Dias and while they had put the New Yark bunch on the defense, it hadn't really gotten them anywhere. Weaving to the side a trio of beams flashed by, a close graze melting through the Hizack's shoulder armor.

Pulling up and away from the tangle of suits, Alex fired a stream of machine gun rounds towards the Nemo Cannon as he radioed his team "Marco, Criss, we're regrouping with Nunavut Team" he paused as he checked their signals "What's left of them anyway. Stop playing around Orsino unless you plan on taking on everyone by yourself!"

whether he knew it or not, Iarocci's fear of being 'sandwiched' between two enemies was about to become a reality, as Wales had pursued to the point that the AEUG pilot was within range to begin his assault on the Herakles team.

pausing only to line himself up with his target and brace himself for the oncomming G-forces, wales increased the thrust level to 100% again, gaining on then passing Iaraocci, slashing at the Hizack with his beam sabre as he sailed past and headed right at Criss, fully intenting to run the mobile suit through.

"scratch one," Wales garbled voice cracked through Irene's helmet. She barely registered what Wales said as Chandekar's suit turned into bright glow of white lights.

Owh, sh..!

She knew and slammed her throttle into emergency speed.

"CHAIN REACTION!" Irene blurted in whatever radio channel she was in.

Next she wasn't sure what happened first, her Dias reached peak speed or the hizack's chain reaction exploded first. Her vision was engulfed by bright lights forcing her to closed her eyes as what looked like a miniature sun appeared for more than two seconds, showering everything with bright lights before heat wave.

For a moment empty screen surrounded her as cameras were restarting from severe exposure. Her eyes readjusted faster than the panoramic screen and frantically she tried to locate Wales' using only console display. On the outside the blast has subsided, leaving none but small wreckage behind. All those OYW crazy stories about core-breach slowly surged into her head. She thought she passed that era behind, never to expect herself to be the one whose fire caused chain reaction.

Finally she found Wales and was surprised to see him already engaging Iarocci and one of Herackles' Hizack. She reoriented her Dias and picked Iarocci - the closest hostile as target, firing her beam three times after few seconds of burning up propellant to closing in the distance. Her thrusters almost hinted overheating but she held few more seconds trying to catch up with Wales.

Re: Episode 28 - Passage to Tartarus

OOC: AEUG posts are in progress but will have to come later please wait!

IC:
- AEUG 4th Squadron Vicinity -
- Alpha Team -

The Kanone Dias’s harassing shots got Stukov’s attention fractions of a moment after the Russian’s own attack on the C-Type Dias. It was clear to Stukov that the Kanone Dias’s pilot was somewhat overly concerned with possibly hitting his comrade, resulting in shots that weren’t of immediate danger.

More importantly, the Kanone Dias charged forward to engage with beam sabers. Stukov lit his own saber in the left hand and rotated the Griffin to more properly face his oncoming opponent. He timed the turn, and a beam saber slash, to coincide with the arrival of his opponent.

The sabers met with savage force, repelling the Griffin away as Stukov intended. He had still been traveling toward the C-Type Dias, so the force of the clash caused him to veer off at an angle which, with a tap of a vernier, turned into an arc around his target. He deactivated the beam saber in the same motion.

Stukov sharpened the angle of the arc to stay relatively close to the C-Type while keeping it between him and the Kanone Dias. He fired a pair of beams at the Kanone as he made this move.

- Gamma Team –‘

Nick Te’litha strafed left, a constant stream of hateful bullets highlighted by the tracers still snaking out of his high-powered machine gun. Wes’s beam rifle attack missed entirely, but a few shards from Trask’s scattershot blast struck the left arm and leg of Nick’s experimental Barzam.

“Are you kidding me?” Nick howled, wide-eyed, between savage fits, “You guys are a joke!”

The standard Rick Dias was the one rushing Nick head-on, and Nick gladly obliged him by turning the machine gun toward him (without ever taking his finger off the trigger) and dashing forward to meet him.

- Nunavut Team 1 -

The fact that Iarocci was already glancing back at that moment saved his life. He saw the incoming Rick Dias and jerked his Hizack into a left roll. The saber sheared away the left spike shoulder, leaving the bare mechanics underneath. The hit rocked his entire machine, forcing him to fire verniers to regain control just as Irene’s beam pistol shots streaked in. One shot struck the left wrist dead-on, burning away most of the forearm and rendering it useless. Another shot lopped off most of the right foot, and the third sailed into space.

Iarocci brought his machine gun to the suit’s hip and flew essentially backward – facing away from his direction of movement toward the central mass of Herakles Team – while kicking the verniers to snake in as wild a zigzag as a wounded Hizack will allow, all the while firing three-shot bursts at Irene’s Rick Dias.

“If I’m gonna die here I won’t let you bastards take me easily!”

- Nunavut Team 2 –

“The cavalry’s here!” Faisal smirked as he and his wingmen converged on the tangle of mobile suits where Teams Herakles and the other Nunavut were getting hit. They’d taken a high-altitude arc over the main flow of cannon fire between the warships and now were in weapons range of a pair of Rick Dias.

Faisal raised his Hizack’s beam rifle against the Dias hounding Iarocci, then fired twice, punctuating the shot with “This one first!”

Akizawa and Babineaux fanned out on either side of their leader, with Akizawa firing a double-tap of his beam rifle at Irene as well. Babineaux dipped low, dramatically losing altitude before firing her beam rifle at the team’s intended victim.

- Axis Zeon Mudra Detachment Vicinity -
- Buxoro Team –

With Iota Team having fallen back to the Kirov, Buxoro Team’s shifted gears. Elijah Robin briefly considered doubling back to shoot at the Rick Diases again, but ultimately decided to put pressure on Zeon.

“Vlad and I will make a run on that cruiser in front,” Elijah indicated the Mudra, “Tim, Tyler, stay on our flanks and keep their suits busy!”

Elijah rocketed toward the foremost Endra, and Vladimir MacMurtree quickly slid in formation behind him. Tyler August sped up as well, on a different vector, to play interference against any Gaza-Cs that might try to intervene, trusting that Tim Melton wouldn’t be far behind.

As he came within the edge of effective beam rifle range of the Mudra, Elijah noted at the corner of his eye that a small number of pink MS – Mudra Team – were withdrawing back to their ship.

“Heads up on our ten, gentlemen. Tyler, Tim, you got that.”

Tek and Lebim certainly reacted to the Nemo’s sudden rush just as Kou intended and slowed down abruptly, but they were at the back of the line. Norlan’s eyes went wide and his hands trembled as the stubborn Nemo rapidly became larger on his monitors, but he maintained course and speed, the adrenaline filling him with an unrelenting determination to see this through to the end…

…which was interrupted when Paris’s beam rifle attack struck through the mobile armor’s ventral claws, severing both and sending Norlan into a leftward, swear-filled spin away from the line of MS.

Tek’s cockpit was filled with Lebim’s voice: “We’re being flanked!” The rookie team leader bit his lip at how the situation had developed but immediately pulled away from the center of combat. “We’re regrouping with Mudra Team, stat!” Tek’s and Lebim’s Gaza’s transformed into mobile armors and fled toward the Mudra.

Kelof, however, had developed the same set of blinders as Norlan. With a flick of the verniers, he leapfrogged his MA-mode Gaza over Norlan’s tumbling machine to continue bearing down on Kou’s Nemo. Kelof’s mind was fixated enough on the clash to come that it didn’t even register Tek’s order or that Norlan was in distress – all he could think was that this Nemo had to die.

As the Nemo and Gaza-C drew inevitably closer, dangerously close, Kelof pointed the nose of the MA at the onrushing Nemo and squeezed the trigger for the knuckle buster at full blast, all the while muttering “Come on come on come on!” under his breath.

Re: Episode 28 - Passage to Tartarus

- AEUG 4th Squadron Vicinity -
- New Yark Team –

“Say say SAY!” Hard AE hollered simultaneously with Orsino’s taunts. Using the shield smashed into the Hizack’s head and his own forward momentum, Hard AE brought his Nemo rapidly upward by pushing off of Orsino.

“Hey! Domo Hard AE desu! Hard AE social improvement HOOOOO~!”

The Nemo’s left arm leveled rapidly to aim the beam rifle at Orsino’s backpack for a close-range back shot, but a flash in the corner of Hard AE’s kicked his instincts into action and he aborted the attack, spinning and gyrating in his bizarre way to narrowly evade Marco’s triple-threat beam attack.

Now it was clear that a pair of Rick Diases from Dervish’s third team had arrived. “Rick Diases! Good feelings Hooooo~!” He reoriented his Nemo to rendezvous with Irene and Wales.

-

“Right, we’ll group up with those Diases if we have to go through them!” Thibaut changed from a defensive posture to more aggressive maneuvers, bringing up the shield and flying forward at an angle that would take him “over” Herakles Team’s position at that moment. He was very conscious of the fact that more Hizacks had arrived.

Gunning the engines as hard as they would allow, Thibaut continued firing at Marco, offering a quick two-shot with the rifle.

“Right behind ya, Tibs,” Mart said lazily over the sound of more bullets slamming into his shield right in front of the cockpit hatch. He was starting to get into this battle’s groove, and no longer felt the antsiness that had set upon shortly after launching. He kicked his Nemo Cannon’s main thrusters up a notch and loosely followed Thibaut’s flight path while intermittently firing the beam rifle at Alex.

Stamble shifted position to follow his teammates, but a momentary lapse in concentration cost him his Nemo’s main camera as Criss’s beam struck it. The yellow particles burned away most of the right half of the head, leaving a nonfunctional, partially-slagged portion of the left half. Stamble snarled, bringing his MS into the same general angle as his teammates and squeezing another shot back at Criss as his backup cameras flickered to life.

- Team 2 -

"So, uh, what should we do now?"

“Good question Marvin,” Sophie already knew what the read outs said on her Rick Dias C-Type, but she couldn't help but look again. Left arm gone below the elbow, other then that everything was working.

The sensors in the cockpit indicated that Eddie and Korbel were nearing them. “We're all okay over hear Eddie. Health wise at least,” she said raising the damaged limb into view.

- Buxoro Team -

“Vlad and I will make a run on that cruiser in front. Tim, Tyler, stay on our flanks and keep their suits busy!”

Tim fell in with Tyler as they moved in to engage the Axis units

“Heads …..... ten, gentlemen. …..... got that.”

The message was already getting a bit funky from Minovsky particles but the idea was clear: get the approaching Mobile Suits.

Tim fired two blast from his beam rifle in front of the lead Gaza-C hoping to get the attention of the Mudra Team and draw them away from Robin and Vlad.

- Gamma Team -

With the Rick Dias team trying to regroup, Aaron pursued Irene as she tried to catch up to Wales. The Rick Dias was pushing hard, so there was a chance that its thrusters could be over heating and it would be an easy target.

The rush from the battle was starting to get to him. Instead of pulling back and trying to figure out a way to escape from the battlefield he was now in hot pursuit of an AEUG Rick Dias. The targeting reticle lined up over Irene's Rick Dias and he let a stream of Hi-powered machine gun fire lash out.
