Those scans from Great Mechanics on episode 4 explains that those rocket propelled grenades used by the Zeon Remnants work by feeding data upon target lock and homing towards it after release.

Re: The Official Gundam Unicorn Mecha Thread Mk II

I guess the only noteworthy info is the new weapons

Armed Armor BS ( the fin gun)
An additional psychoframe equipment. A ranged weapon that can achieve high precision "predictive aiming" by feeding spatial data to the pilot through psycommu from an internal sensor unit and using that brainwave to synchronize with the fin shaped beam director.

Armed Armor VN (the claw)
A speically developed so called super-vibration crushing weapon utilizing the strength of the psychoframe. Wth its beast like claws opened and its overwhelming destructive power, the Banshee becomes closer to a lion.

The beam smart gun from Sentinel was too wild for my tastes, so I hope that they would not try to top it with this oddball ricocheting beam shoots á la Regnant in Gundam 00 S2.

From the Unicorn Mode manual:

Armed Armor VN:

It is externally wrapped in beam coating and holds the same anti-beam ability as ordinary shields. Using the strength of the psychoframe, it also functions as a mass based weapon. Funny thing is, this term is a proper noun in the Nanoha series.

Maybe Gundam is paying Nanoha back for the years of references? Then again, it's probably a fairly common term.

For those who do not know, "mass based weapon" basically means "non-magical weapon" in the Nanoha series. Regular weapons have been replaced by magical means because attack spells can be set to stun, and because spells are a lot harder to learn and master than a gun.

About Guncannon Detector: now in Unicorn it doesn't look like it is from Methuss linage much. So the supposed folding backpack transformation was changed into kneeling with third leg?

in this article it seems to explain why the Guncannon DT doesn't transform(omit written in katakana)

I'd also like to know what the Desert Gelgoog and Nemo III paragraphs say.

The kneeling position involves the extra support leg from the crotch which isn't really noticeable on screen. They originally wanted to depict the transformation process, but it was omitted.

Re: The Official Gundam Unicorn Mecha Thread Mk II

so the Guncannon Detector's crotch turns into a foot

meaning if you try to kick the Guncannon Detector in the crotch, the Guncannon Detector's crotch can kick back

i have to say, i respect that

Delta Gundam stores its beam sabers in the shield. So the armament list must be: 60 mm vulcans, Gundam MkIII beam rifle, 2x beam saber(beam gun?).

our wishes coming true?
What is this monster? The grandson of the Gundam Mk IV? A Doven Wolf Variant?

Re: The Official Gundam Unicorn Mecha Thread Mk II

Looks to me like it's simply a Doven Wolf, period.
Be kinda cool to see that thing in Unicorn's gloriously high-quality animation though. But I hafta wonder who'd pilot the thing.

It's not a variant. It's jsut Doven Wolf "Ver. Ka". It's not really unexpected to see them shoving Doven Wolf in. Good time to push HGUC ZZ. It looks abit skinny though. Katoki proportions seem to be working against it, not unlike Dressien. Whatever happened to big fat Xeku Eins Katoki? That works better for Zeon suits.

Actually the Doven Wolf is from the Bande Desinee manga  . It substitutes the Dreissen that attacks Banarge as he leaves Palau in the anime. Also there's a new Geara Zulu variant: High Mobility Type? carrying a curious weapon(3 tube rocket launcher?) that Angelo uses to battle the Delta Plus(this battle was in the novel but was cut from the anime). Also the complete Doven Wolf IDTC article mentions the Gundam Mark V and the Silver Bullet.

Re: The Official Gundam Unicorn Mecha Thread Mk II

Haven't read the full article yet, but it did mention that some of the Doven Wolf pilots whom left Axis at the end of 0089 became space pirates and then later joined Frontal's faction. I think the pirates status refers to the event from Evolve.

These IDTC are confusing me now. I know that it is a third party(freelance writer) source, similar to the Master Archives series. But this is the first IDTC article that ties in with a the Bande Desinee version of the story, which cannot quite coexist with the anime version. Either way there is no official canon lol, all three versions, the novel, anime and Bande Desinee are all equally as appealing, and the extend of their similarities are better than that of Zeta Gundam's quad-media versions(TV, novel, manga, movie).

I would also like to confirm whether the ReZEL G-Defensor articles were from IDTC? If so, then these articles are meant to refer to the collective Unicorn franchise.

Btw, these freelance articles tend to liberally refer to many popular sources, including manga, games and Evolve.
