Re: What TV series are you watching? (on TV, DVD, VHS, ect)

Episode 6 of Season 4 of Merlin.
So this pretty much wasn't too complicated an episode, Merlin is captured and forcefully magically put under Morgana's control for a brief time by an Amrah or something like that(can't remember the spelling)
The objective simply being to kill Arthur, however this noticably causes Merlin to act very differently and thus Gaius, Gwen and 1-2 others notice and Gaius soon remmedies a stop gap measure on the Amrah in Merlin's neck controling his mind, Merlin having only 1 day goes off to Morgana's hut in the woods in his older Wizard disguise and confronts and battles Morgana coming out on top and killing the original Amrah ridding Merlin of the source of the mind control.
Furthermore Agravine was under suspicion but managed to repel that for the ambush that occured resulting in Merlin's capture and finally Morgana is rather shaken to see 'Emeriss' is very much so real and not just a haunting/recurring nightmare.

Also Episode 7 of Terra Nova.
We have 3 seperate stories to this whole episode so be prepared for a wall of text.

First we have Josh striking up a deal with Mira of the Sixers to get his girlfriend for 2144 Kara over to Terra Nova on the 11th Pilgrimage, the only catch is Mira calls in her favor the favor being her people need medicine and he has to steal it from under her mum's nose to Azumere or something it's called.
Josh pulls off the heist as asked and does deliver it to Mira although by the end of the episode Josh'es parents find out and aren't too happy until he reveals why his hand was forced in 2 ways.

Second we have Commander Taylor going after Curran the banished murderer from a previous episode.
Taylor decides to help save his life from a Komodo Dragon pursuing him after it had bit him once and infected his leg, Taylor offers Curren a simple fair deal for saving him.
He strikes a deal with Curran to infiltrate the Sixers and find out who Mira's inside person is and if he does it right, Taylor says he will possibly let him return to Terra Nova.

Finally we have a storyline with Maddy, Dr. Ken Horton, a renowned scientist who has returned from a long research mission ends up bringing back alot of discoveries and interesting samples with him.
However Maddy is suspicious of him after his memory is a little foggy on some things.
He also later secretively tears up her letter instead of copying it when he asked for the letter to make a copy of it.
Maddy soon finds out that it was the doctor's assistant who had kill him and took his hands and eyes and had them grafted on to him.
Needless to say the good Doctor at first takes Zoe then almost kills Maddy, but Zoe having been let go alerts Jim and they both rush to save Maddy in time.

So pretty packed episode this time around.

Re: What TV series are you watching? (on TV, DVD, VHS, ect)

So the previous week i forgot to post up for Merlin and Terra Nova episodes.

I will add in the episode descriptions from wikipedia.
Episode 7 of Merlin.
Wikipedia wrote:Morgana joins forces with enigmatic wizard named Alator to uncover a secret that could change the course of destiny. With allies on both sides of the castle walls, can anyone stop her before Merlin's mystery's secret is revealed?
Episode 8 of Terra Nova.
Wikipedia wrote:Boylan, confused and under duress while in jail, reveals to Jim that a body is buried in the jungle. Jim uncovers a skeleton and investigates it as an old murder that Commander Taylor may have committed. Meanwhile, Mark Reynolds and other soldiers on a convoy in the jungle are ambushed by Sixers, who the spy apparently tipped off. The colony celebrates the Harvest Festival, in which Zoe stars in a play commemorating Commander Taylor's arrival in Terra Nova. The play reveals an unexpected clue to the murder. Also, Malcolm discovers how the Sixer spy inside Terra Nova communicates with Mira, but it creates a trail leading to the Shannon's house. Taylor stages a possible false arrest of Jim, after Jim refuses Taylor's request to drop the murder investigation. While Jim is in custody, Taylor reveals the dark truth to him about the 2149 leaders' real intent for Terra Nova: upon Taylor and his son Lucas' arrival to Terra Nova, Lucas invented a "bridge" to and from 2149. This would allow greedy corporations in 2149 to strip the new world's resources, reaping huge profits. To prevent this, Taylor destroyed Lucas' work, causing Lucas to bring his father's superior, General Fillbrook to Terra Nova to relieve Taylor of command. When Taylor refused to step down in order to protect Terra Nova, he was forced to shoot the general in self-defense, then buried the body.
Episode 8 of season 4 of Merlin.
So for Merlin, pretty much the story was 4 of the knights of Camelot became enchanted after Merlin and the knights came to a village to investigate a disease going through.
And pretty much the young lady was a creature named/known as Lamia and I kid you not :P
She pretty much drainned their life force energies, but usually she would enchant and mannipulate them to the point of starting conflict the only ones not affected were Merlin and Gwen.
Gwen was the one who landed the killing blow upon the Lamia.

Episode 9 of Terra Nova.
During a solo expedition Taylor is caught in a bad situation and also prisoner of Mira.
But later they become stuck together due to carnivores trying to kill them and forcing them to work together.
Taylor and Mira come to better understand each other during this time.
Also the traitor of Terra Nova is revealed to be
Spoiler
Skye
She goes to level of lengths to cover her tracks but some trails are pointing in her direction vaguely.

Also during the time Taylor is out investigating a site for Lucas'es handy work.
Jim gets to experienced managing Terra Nova commanding the forces for once.

Re: What TV series are you watching? (on TV, DVD, VHS, ect)

Episode 9 of season 4 of Merlin.

So for this episode Lancelot comes back during a tournament and is under Morgana's control brought back from death, bent to do her whim.
That being to undermine Arthur's faith or trust in Gwen.
Which he does over time, the backlash of this has resulted in Gwen leaving Camelot for now.
However nobody knew Gwen was enchanted also and rekindled her old feelings for Lancelot, the end of the episode Lancelot is given a Viking cremation at water.

So in the end another downer of an episode for Merlin, seems to be the trend this season lately.

Terra Nova - still sticking with the series but not loving it.
Tiger n Bunny - now that Hulu streams this show to my TV, catching up on backlog
Jose Andres made in Spain - travel & food show on Hulu
Top Gear - watching old eps
Community - probably my new favorite comedy since Arrested Development, and like AD, too smart & meta for its own good, multi-layered comedy that escapes the notice of the avg tv watching audience.

Re: What TV series are you watching? (on TV, DVD, VHS, ect)

Episode 10 of season 4 of Merlin
So this episode Elyan one of the knights whilst out with Arthur and the others disturbs a Druid site where spirits of the dead remmain.
One of which binds itself to Elyan and makes him attempt at least 2 times to kill King Arthur to avenge the wrongs during it's life when Uther's regime was focused on purging all magic users.
So Merlin and Gaius discover what is going on and only Uther could attone for his past actions.
Only problem is with Uther dead, the spirit has been trying to kill Arthur instead.

Arthur later on ends up decding to stop this by confronting Elyan.
So Arthur confronts the spirit about things of the past with one difference being he was the one whom led the raid on the Druid camp all those years ago.
And he apologizes for his past actions when he was younger and stupid and trying to impress his men and Uther.
Arthur swears as the King of Camelot he will not treat the Druid people the same as Uther Pendragon did during his regime.
The spirit accepts this and can finally move on to the afterlife and leaves Elyan.

Episode 11 of season 4 of Merlin
So this episode focuses on Gwen and her life outside Camelot, including taken prisoner by a warlord Helios whom is also allied with Morgana to attack Camelot by the siege tunnels.
Which Morgana attains plans and magically copies from Agravaine, Merlin attemts to prove his beytral but all seems well when Arthur checks the vault.
So apart from that there was also the side story of Arthur dealing with a marriage to Princess Mithian but Arthur politely breaks it off due to lingering feelings for Gwen.

Episode 10 of Terra Nova
So Skye is revealed to be the mole, Taylor ends up becoming ticked with Skye.
However upon finding the reason for Skye's betrayl Taylor's feelings and opinions are mixed.
Also Lucas finishes his technology and does manage to return to 2148.
The Sixers abandoned their old base location.

So now it's come up to the final 2 parters for both Merlin and Terra Nova.

Re: What TV series are you watching? (on TV, DVD, VHS, ect)

12 and 13 of Merlin to sum up the 2 parter finale, it was interesting.
Part 1 was very dark and all that, Part 2 was sort of more interesting to see the tables turned and also not to mentio Agravaine and Helios are now dead thanks to Merlin and Arthur.
Morgana was left in the woods injured on her own with literally nothing, Gwen and Arthur married.
Arthur pulled Excalibur from the rock and used it to protect Camelot along with his people and remmaining knights.
But yet we get the predictable.
"Merlin will return"

Terra Nova had a 2 parter where as expected Lucas came back with an ally or 2 took over Terra Nova.
Tried to kill Taylor 1-2 times, got badly injured during one fight.
Skye doule crossed him, Reaver dead.
Jim getting back to 2149, unleasing a Carnitor among the facility leaving a nice bomb to blow up Hope Plazza and made it back to the alternate Earth, they find Terra Nova abandoned by Reaver's forces and recclaim it.
Simillarly the Sixers old base is long abandoned now.

And that is where Terra Nova stands that and 1-2 small side characters died during things.

Rewatching season 2 of ST:Enterprise, finally nice to see it in HD streaming on netflix.
