They're just making use of a third Gabthley that was mentioned in some profile before, I think it was the MSIA one.

What's with the fascination with brown lately? The caption says the only changes on both machines compared to the regular ones are the heads and back cover piece. For Hugin, it says there is a minovsky detector at the tip of the new cover. For Munin it just mentions increased output and mobility for cyber-newtypes.

I wouldn't have posted it, but from its info card I believe it is labeled as the personal unit of one of the new AEUG characters.

Methuss, Evie Alba Custom, or something along those lines.
Looks like a slightly more armoured, atmospheric flight-capable variant.

I really like this Methuss. Quite an improvement for the bare-bones original version. Maybe we can link it to the eventual evolution to the ReZel in a sense that it includes skirt armor and better backpack thruster design?

Possibly. I always found it ironic that the Methuss, which in many ways looks ungainly and was probably one of the uglier suits in Zeta Gundam, managed to spawn so many good looking variants. Not a fan of the original Methuss, not at all. But anything that came off it's lineage is generally visually-appealing. Odd.

I don't think the methuss was meant to look good it was an technology demonstrator that got thrown in to combat duty to bulk up the TMS numbers for the AEUG the later models are designed with combat in mind

Re: AoZ: The Traitor to Destiny Mechanics

At least most of the WTF designs in AOZ were just on paper and didn't show up in the story. Big Zam size MA has no place in a side story like this.

That's not a mobile armor... it's a mobile fortress.

yeah but Zeons are from space so it's not the same if Will Smith punches out a Titan

Wasn't there a similar concept in Gundam Evolve where the Titans had a psycommu fortress?

Not quite a psycommu fortress, it's just a three-Newtype-piloted/powered diamond-shaped TMA.

Re: AoZ: The Traitor to Destiny Mechanics

The 17th chapter introduces a brand new mecha: the RX-136-1 Rakshasa [original katakana: ラクシャサ, which is the name of a sort of vampire-like demon in Induism and Buddhism]. This is a super-fast MA developed at Gates of Zedan and particularily adapted for close combat. Its pilot is Ewen Bader.
