It's been some months since I've finished a plastic kit so I thought I would share. Been working on GKs for other folks of late. The RG 1/144 RX-78-2 was a really fun kit to build. Very delicate, but fun. The markings were those Bandai waterslide decals. Very challenging to apply, but I thought they would look nice (about 90% of them not even readable,,,so tiny). Also applied some different weathering tricks like oil washes and filters. I used primarily modeling oils by MIG (502 Abteilung). They were very nice to work with. Painted via airbrush with Gunze Sangyo colors and sealed with Mr Topcoat. Ah well, hope you enjoy!

EDIT: Oh yeah, here's some in prog pics as well. Just to show some of the process.

Amazing job. How did you get those dots of orange and blue to run down the MS hangar?

Thanks! Ah yes, great question. I actually blended them on the piece with a brush dampened with odorless mineral spirits.G-Slayer wrote:Amazing job. How did you get those dots of orange and blue to run down the MS hangar?
