General Feedback Thread

Ok, so like Gundamn's version, this thread is for any feedback that isn't episode-specific. That includes comments about continuing segments, technical issues, etc.

Re: General Feedback Thread

As I said in episode 1's thread.
Mu La Flaga wrote:Also just a small note on audio, I had to up my volume level to be good for the speech volume.
So probably wouldn't hurt to maybe set that a little higher in future.
So it probably wont hurt to up the audio volume for speech/talking a little bit.
I had to put mine up a little more then usual to be able to decently hear you guys on Chaos Theater.

That is all I've got.

Re: General Feedback Thread

Once again to pedro probably more then chris, is it possible to up the volume on the recording part ?
The speech bits are always so much lower, especially when it goes to new segments and all the music is loud.

Since I have to put my volume up alot higher.

Re: General Feedback Thread

How about a segment on obscure anime comedies? Maybe a top ten favorite/least favorite anime characters or standout moments in anime or sci-fi?

Re: General Feedback Thread

Just like with the gundamn video I did a recording of feedback
Chaos Theater Feedback

I didn't mention this but I was thinking that maybe you guys should do a news segment like gundamn's Neo's news, only it would could cover general anime in the beginning and move to other general things movies, books and whatnot, and called it Chaos News.

keep up the good work guys 8)

Re: General Feedback Thread

Just a small technical note, seemed to be a little feedback this time as in popping.
Hopefully you guys wont always run in to that all the time.

That and I also wanted to ask since episode 3 has the ratings picked up to something consistent?
Or is it sort of up and down each episode?

Don't have much to add.
If I make suggestions it might be ideas based off your mailbag answers made in to topic suggestions and all that sort of thing.

Keep going at it guys. 8)

Loving the new series myself. Personally, "Slaying the sacred cow" is my favorite segment. I love hearing you guys smack down either something loved, or shoot down stupid arguments we often hear when visiting forums.

Re: General Feedback Thread

Technical feedback note.
1.Angel seemed to have some trouble, not sure what was up but at times his speech became very twisted.
2.Pedro just up your volume a small notch next episode.

That is my feedback for episode 11, apart from that keep at it guys.

Re: General Feedback Thread

Feedback note for episode 14.
Next time you do a one location record.

You really need to up the microphone volume.
I had to have my volume level up quite a bit higher to hear it decently.
That or it came muffled at times.

Just my feedback note for Pedro if he reads it. :D

You keep bringing this up as though we aren't aware of it. Sometimes there are just limitations with the equipment and there's nothing we can do about it.

Re: General Feedback Thread

Well it's not always an issue, this episode it seemed to be oddly.

I mean your last 2 previous episodes were fine.

Besides you haven't had this all the time, it got beter and staid good.
Just got occassional time it's a little off, but ok, equipment limits or stuff at times.

That and I try to give also good feedback.

Re: General Feedback Thread

It doesn't come up every episode because due to scheduling we haven't recorded together since episode 10. And when these problems do happen, it's due to the equipment. Sometimes everything sounds fine, and then a few minutes later it sounds distorted or too low. If there's anyone who's aware of these problems before you ever hear an episode, it's Pedro.

Re: General Feedback Thread

True, then again episode 10 had no problems.
Not sure what the deal is at times, if nothing is supposedly wrong, oh lord of MAHQ&Mechatalk :P

Next thing you know you'll be saying everything is good when something goes kabloey

Not to worry! There have been new additions that should improve sound.

Re: General Feedback Thread

Are we going to get episode 26 this week, or waiting until Chris comes back?

Edit: Found Special 02 on Zune feed.

Re: General Feedback Thread

Hey Chris,
I know you read Way of Kings during your Ireland travel. You've also recommended it as an Audible audiobook, which is the way I "read" the book. Anyway, the most recent Writing Excuses podcast has author Brandon Sanderson answering his co-hosts question about the writing process behind Way of Kings. Check it out.

Re: General Feedback Thread

Chris,
May I suggest that you would do a special dedication on Batman episode to the victims of the Colorado shooting on 7/20/2012? thank you.
Please don't make me quoting certain wrestlers' catchphrases (What?!) or you don't want to find out how nasty it gets (What?!). Tell me you didn't just say that (What?!)

Since some of you are graduates of the Larry King School of Journalism, I thought I'd mention that he was the guest on the Nerdist podcast.
