ZZ Gundam is a Core Block (ZZ)
S Gundam is a Core Block (Gundam Sentinal)
F90IIIY Cluster Gundam is a Core Block (Silhouette Formula)
Crossbone Gundams are Core Blocks. (Crossbone Gundam)
...only Zeta and CCA lacked Core Block MS in canon continuity though. (Zeta because of transformable MS entirely and CCA...who knows? Probably just not needed + time and whatnot.)

Re: A curious question on the GP01
the ZZ gundam used a core block system.

Wasn't the Gp 01 originally intended to be excusively a land combat ms, but then the fb upgrade was created due to Anahiem not having the funds to produce unit 4?

Re: A curious question on the GP01
The GP04 wasn't cancelled due to lack of funds, it was because they judged it to be too similar to the GP01Fb and therefore redundant. As for the Fb, the original idea was that all the GP01 needed to swap from land to space combat was to change the Core Fighter, but after Kou got it wrecked fighting Cima they decided to do a full overhaul.

Re: A curious question on the GP01
As said, the GP04G Gerbera was pretty much the same as the GP01Fb in terms of overall function (fast hit-and-run assault MS), but the GP01Fb would save them money while being able to perform effectively, despite it being overall inferior to the Gerbera.
So the Federation could have had the GP04G still built, but it just wouldn't be financially practical.

Good to know. By the way, is it ever explained how Cima aquired the Geberra Tetra?

Sold to her by Anaheim Electronics (more specifically, Vice President Sullivan) after they independently finished it in a more Zeonic fashion (given the Federation canceled it for themselves before it was completed). Always looking to make an extra buck.

As I understood it, the deal was more for political reasons that business. Sullivan used the Gerbera as a token of good well to the Zeon remants, as he needed to be in good terms with Zeon in order to avoid having some armed conflict on Ahaheim's moon backyard.HalfDemonInuyasha wrote:Sold to her by Anaheim Electronics (more specifically, Vice President Sullivan) after they independently finished it in a more Zeonic fashion (given the Federation canceled it for themselves before it was completed). Re: A curious question on the GP01
there was that and the fact that AE was full of former Zeonic staff who were still loyal to zeon. The sale of the AGX-04 was the first time historically that AE begans building one MS for one side but ends up selling it to the other side. the AGX code prefix may be the internal AE model number for the GP series of gundams. The AGX-04 got cancelled due to the GP01 being wrecked and it's FB refit basically made it overlap the 04 project the AGX-03 got lucky and was finished before the entire series was axed and it appeared that the suit was being saved for use of the future titans or they needed it out of the way while they put there plans in to motion.nacho-wan wrote:As I understood it, the deal was more for political reasons that business.
