As Li peered over the ledge that ringed the inactive Volcano, he double-checked his suit's diagnostics. It was a good, hard effort on his and the crew's part in getting the Guan Yu back to shape, given how much damage it received during the Round 1 match. They managed to bring everything up to 100%, though some armor plating still had their slate gray color rather than the usual mix of green, gold, and red. Though his mechanical skills were limited, he helped move supplies around and got whatever the mechanics needed. It wasn't typical to have an esteemed Fighter go to ground level, but Li needed to express his gratitude to the crew. He even gave a good portion of his available currency (he didn't spend much) to them to indulge in whatever intoxicating beverages they desired.
On the other hand, the Neo China officials berated him for his initial loss and the accompanied damage to the Gundam. Li politely listened to their grievances, bowed briefly in apology and left. What they said or threatened to do didn't matter; he could still feel faint remnants of the adrenaline that pumped through him as he was cornered during that first round match. He grinned and shook his head as he focused on the present, on the battle at hand.
He stepped off the edge of the ledge almost casually and let his suit descend until he hit the rocky surface, bending his knees to absorb the impact. He then drew and extended his Guan Dao as he calmly waited for his opponent...

Talik rubs his chin. The first round did not go as well as he had oh so hoped. The Rajput shines in all its glory, painted in its traditional stark white with big and bold black lines crossing at various places for a Hindu like scripting on it. It tosses off an immense cloak that kicks up dust as it hits the ground. It holds out its arm in a pointing motion towards the otherside of the volcano.
"Neo China! I await this battle and hope it brings as much excitement to you as it does me!" Talik hopes inside the cockpit, the system coming on full as his bodysuit connects to the mobile fighter.
The Rajput flicks its wrists as it comes to life with more humanoid movements, and it gets into a squat for a jump-thrust into the arena "May the gods shine upon us both! GUNDAM FIGHT, BEGIN!"

Li already previewed the scant data regarding Neo India's Gundam and pilot, so he was pleased to face an offensive/melee-oriented fighter. He looked up as the pilot proclaimed his presence and acknowledgement of Li as his opponent before boarding the Rajput.
"I'm sure this battle will..." Li whispered as the Rajput powered up and began to squat in preparation to jump down to the proper 'arena.' He then jabbed out to the inner wall of the volcano with the butt-end of his Guan Dao, which kicked out some rocks of various sizes. With combined grace, and strength as bereft of his training, he deftly kicked a good head-sized chunk straight at the Rajput....

Talik already liked this here fighter! Not unlike the last fight where the little girl stood still and didn't want to fight proper. This is a MAN'S FIGHT!

The Rajput twirls and swirls it out and a graceful and deadly manner to obliterate the rocks sent at it, the thrusters on its back roaring at max power to send it right down onto Neo China's own mobile fighter.

Li grinned as his opponent gracefully dispatched the rocks he had sent his way. He shifted his stance as the Rajput accelerated towards his Gundam. He patiently bide his time as the distance between the two Gundam closed rapidly. Then he made his move by side-stepping to the right, before lunging towards the Rajput with a thruster-augmented jump. Li then launched a feint jab with the butt-end of his GuanDao towards the chest of the Rajput before coming around with the bladed end towards the area between its head and right shoulder...

The Rajput smacks into the ground on one knee, and moves into a standing position in just enough time to get caught in the chest with the blunt side. He drops back and seeing the bladed end in flashing down towards him, he drops his heat aara in favor of the quick speed of his beam katars to catch the Guan Do of Neo China's fighter. Then he'd stand up, fighting the other off in the little struggle enough to give him a kick to his chest.

Li felt his Guan Dao connect with the Rajput, but the follow-up attack was deftly blocked off due to it switching weapons. He quickly brought back his Guan Dao so that it crossed in front of his suit in a diagonal fashion just in time to receive the Rajput's countering kick. As the foot connected with the staff-side, Li pulled it closer towards his chest and struggled to maintain balance as he was pushed back several tens of meters, scraping up bits of rock from the arena floor in the process.
"Such strength...." Li thought admiringly as he crouched down before launching himself forward and to the left. Then he spun clockwise and lashed his heat-augmented left foot at the Rajput's right leg while keeping his Guan Dao close and at the ready.

The Rajput stays still and adamant as his opponent reels back and readies for another round. The Rajput was meant for close quarters combat and here face to face, it would show. It gets ready for a frontal assault but the sudden juke to the left serves to offer a bit of surprise, slow on the up take to receive a well delivered blow on his retracting leg. Pain sensors shoot off through Talik's mind as he grunts and bares it all.
"You fight good child!" He'd blurt out over the comm sys in a rather loud manner.
The Rajput uses its one legged stance, to spin more and then lash out with both the beam katars, one in a short thrust forward and the other in a long crescent, diagonal swipe to cover all his bases.

Li's cautious stance was rewarded when the damaged Rajput maintained balance on its good leg and countered his kick with its katars. He parried the initial thrust by blocking and redirecting the non-energized base section of said katar with the staff. But the Rajput quickly followed through with a diagonal swipe and Li rapidly brought his GuanDao around and blocked the second katar head-on with its blade. He could see the energized beam a mere meter away from his Gundam's chest/shoulder intersection as he struggled to keep the blade off.
"I am honored to have received your praise..." Li managed to say with clenched teeth before responding with something beyond words.
He parried the blade off to the side before dropping down into a crouch. Balanced on one bent left leg, he launched a low sweeping kick toward the Rajput's good leg...

Would not be caught so easily with the same trick twice no matter how much praise he'd give! The older man easily reads the impending move and had thrusters ready. He gives a short hop to send him up just a few yards into the air, enough to send him well above the leg.
The beam katars turn off and allow him to reach up, grab his heat chakrams from his back and them chuck them forward rather point blank at Li "Lets see if you can dodge these so close my friend!"

This was what true battle was about. No snide manipulation, pointless taunting, or other distractions. Just React and Attack. Without further consideration, Li swept his Guan Dao in front of him in a rapid defensive sweep. Three out of the four chakrams were swept aside while the fourth zipped past and severed a portion of the Guan Yu's left shoulder armor.
Paying no heed to the close call, Li countered by boosted up toward the Rajput, rotating his Guan Dao in front of him in one full rotation before following through with a left uppercut toward the Rajput's torso...

The Rajput lifts its arm to block the Guan Do off in its sweep at the metal shaft. He'd take that uppercut to his stomach only to wrap his other free arm around the punch and draw him in.
Using the same tactic he did last match a bit earlier (And less critically injured), he hunkers down to hold his opponent still. Of the chakrams that were deflected they'd hit the ground and sink into it unable to move. The last one however activates its homing signal to start arcing its way back in

The Rajput upon separating from its foe lands some yards away, catching the chakram that missed its target. He stores it back in its holster to give it a recharge while he'd recuperate from the blow to his belly. After just a quick breather, he crouches into a power thrust position, pulling out his heat Khanda for an attack.
"Your quick, but your attacks can't hurt me just that easily!"
He lunges again with that large weapon, aiming it at those legs.

Li quickly recovered from the self-extraction maneuver as he noted that his opponent switched to its heat Khanda sword before crouching into what appeared to be a powerful launching position. Li stored his already-retracted Guan Dao and drew one of his beam Jians with his right hand.

His jian reached out to bat the Khanda, with the intent of knocking it lower (and away from Li). Then he used the momentum of the leaping spin to launch an aerial roundhouse kick down toward the Rajput's head/left shoulder region...
