Re: Chapter 24: Armageddon[Earth]

-Midori Ashita-

Midori had already turned to leave when Lucia called out asking her name. Midori stopped for a moment and looked back over her shoulder. Somehow despite the lack of wind inside the hanger Midori's Green Scarf was fluttering.

"I'm Midori, Midori Ashita We can talk later for now I'll go make sure those fandom punk don't dare mess with you again."

With an acrobatic leap Midori Returned to the MP-X and headed out.

Re: Chapter 24: Armageddon[Earth]

- Juuso/Leon -

Juuso 'hmph'd as the kick drove the Destiny through the air, even though he caught it on the small physical shield, but close combat was Juuso's specialty it gave him the small time advantage to meet the Delta Gundam assault. As Strike begun his combo, Juuso pulled both Flash Edge 2 beam boomerrangs and countered each strike with his own, parrying with adept skill and Gundamish poise. Suddenly, after a particularly flashy block of the final beam on the standard shield which was rendered useless, the Destiny withdrew quickly leaving the Delta Gundam open for what he has seen, that the Crusader pilot had not...

Which was the Esperanza bearing down from behind at full speed, firing it's beam guns it rapid succession into the back of the gold Gundam, before spinning to the right to pass by the enemy on the same side.

- Jacob/Sara -

As the Gadessa's beam met the Cerberus' own, the energies annihilated each other in a massive explosion of smoke. The Cerberus recovered quickly, charging directly at the green GN mobile suit, using the smoke as a cover, pulling back it's right to once again try to impale the enemy with his Ignite Pike, yelling "Cowards! We're not the ones who just dropped a colony on innocent civilians. I'll make you take that back, IGNITE PIKE!!"

Not satified with just that, Jacob would try to strike again with the Pike on the left arm, which would create to large holes with their empowered Terminus Energy Pikes, and would finish with a close range blast with the Terminus Cannon, in a attack called Kerberos Fang.

Re: Chapter 24: Armageddon[Earth]

-Nena Trinity+Purple Haro-(-Gundam Arche ~ Battlefield-)

Nena could help but laugh as she was making her opponent try another useless attack. He might have been good, he might have been an ace, he might even have been a hero. Nena didn't know any of that, she was treating him to a show.

"Hehe ahahaha! I've got more!" Even as the other four Fangs left the ruined pulse weapon and started returning to the Arche, another four Fangs shot out of the Throne's containers and headed towards Christ mobile suit. Raising her blade she went straight for the Chakram and tried to cleave it in half. With her newly dispersed fangs opening fire on her opponent, the distraction should make it difficult for the enemy to control the spinning disk.

-Johann Trinity-(-GNZ-003 Gadessa ~ Battlefield-)

As The Belphegor reached out and grabbed the Gardezzo's semi crippled arm, a huge beam was fired at the strike claw. Appearing seeming out of nowhere in a 'big damn hero' moment, Johann opened rapid fire on Kylern's mecha.

Johann was not going to get into a useless debate with this enemy like Raven had. They were all killers and if this man could sleep better at night by telling himself he wasn't a murderer then Johann could only congratulate him on finding some peace. As for Johann himself he didn't care one way or another. Killing another person was no big deal. As long as the objective was achieved, dead civilians were just collateral damage.

Re: Chapter 24: Armageddon[Earth]

-Belphagor-

The massive beam sliced through the connector joints in the arm just as it was about to grab ahold. But the remaining armor retracted to the shoulder and the heat wires continued their path.

-Ryder-

Johann would find that he would only be able to get off one shot as the Messiah showed up on screen. "Not very cool man." With that the innovator inspired unit was be swarmed by almost 60 missiles as they bloomed out from the two launch ports in Ryder's Super pack. These missiles would collapse into the enemy unit from all sides since they were GN resistant.

But the show wasn't over as three other fighter like machines tried to surround the sniper unit with one blocking its path to the Belphagor. "Get em boys!" The three Ghost fighters then unleashed their dual beam machines onto the enemy unit in an attempt to destroy the mega beam launcher and drive the guy off. The VF-25 Messiah followed in behind its missiles with its weapons all unlocked and ready to fire.

Re: Chapter 24: Armageddon[Earth]

Raven Sterling

Raven Sterling pulled back, Breaking the Bladelock by cutting off the beam claws, out of the Strike claw's reach. It wasn't difficult since she was in the faster machine. As the heat wires came they were met with a hail of fire from the wrist Vulcan

"Boy, you are naive. You know not the suffering those who were abandoned on Mars faced while the Federation citizens grew fat, lazy and corrupt. Even so I've never chosen to attack them directly."

If that succeeded Kylern would quickly find himself under attack from the right. (the side now lacking it's heat wires) by a pair of Fangs which quickly darted to and fro firing beams. If not then it was his move....

-Herman Hoffman-

The First Pike Smashed Herman in the left shoulder knocking the Mega Launcher from his grasp. Herman tried to retaliate with his right arm cutter only to find the arm Skewered through both forearm and upper arm locking it in place. Herman could only watch wide-eyed as the Terminous cannon flipped forward and fired.

In his fear Herman completely forgot about his escape pod and thus simply did not trigger it; It didn't matter anyway he had missed his chance to actually escape. He was Annihilated by the tremendous blast of energy at point blank.

-Chris Talon-

The Buster Sword missed the Chakram by about a meter but instead snagged the Wire that connected it to it's master. The Chakram quickly whipped around the Arche's massive blade twice seemingly entangling it. It was about the Fangs descended on Chris and began darting to and fro while firing at him.

"NO NO NO NO!!"

Chris tried to dodge the attacks but found little success, One blow landed on the right elbow disabling the sword arm. Another pair sheared his left leg off at the knee. and a third smashed into his back damaging the Tesla drive.

Slowly the Huckebein begn to sink as the power that kept it airborn faded. For a second, the wire that connected it to the Arch tensed but was quickly severed by the Buster Sword. now Chris was a sitting duck, Nena's next attack would be his end...

Re: Chapter 24: Armageddon[Earth]

-Kylern-

"So you take out your pain on civilians? Your pretty twisted sister and need to wake up." Raven wasn't getting away as Kylern pressed the attack without remorse. So almost as fast as she tried to get away the Belphagor was right on her ass as he sliced down onto the extended vulcan arm. He was acting very aggressive and the Belphagor was pushing at full power trying to keep her from getting any distance.

"You have no excuse for what you did except to get what you wanted. NOW appologize to the dead!" Even without the claw on his left arm that appendage could deploy its heat wires which struck out to try and grab the enemy unit's head and destory it.

Re: Chapter 24: Armageddon[Earth]

-Nena Trinity+Purple Haro-(-Gundam Arche ~ Battlefield-)

The Huckbein's descent was suddenly halted, the most unlikely saviors keeping it still airborn. A hand digging into it's one still functioning arm, the Arche was keeping Chris from losing any more altitude.

"...Are you okay??" Nena said in a concerned voice. The sword stabbing into the chest of the Huckbein and cutting crushing the man inside the cockpit seemed to mock the girl's words. "Ooups looks like I was too rough hehe ahahaha!"

The Arche let go of the enemy mecha and let it drop, watching it go explode in a gush of fire and pieces of metal.

Re: Chapter 24: Armageddon[Earth]

-Kirie-

The final blow from the Ahead was parried hard by Gerbera Straight as Kirie's Red Frame slid backwards slightly, and Kirie looked around once as the fight died around him slightly --- he had beaten these three Ahead, but...what now? There was nothing else he could do; He couldn't affect the battle any longer. It was finished. He was done here. And Kirie despised the feeling of underachievement that conjured up bitterness in his heart.

With a sharp frown, Kirie wheeled the Red Frame around and blasted back towards Aidoneus.

Re: Chapter 24: Armageddon[Earth]

-Johann Trinity-(-GNZ-003 Gadessa ~ Battlefield-)

The three Ghost fighters wouldn't even have time to surround the Trinity sibling. The untimely arrival of Rydern had caught Johann off guard, but if there was one thing he excelled at it was tactical retreat. His Vulcan was already out, opening rapid fire on the
missiles as he backtracked his steps. Flying backwards he saw the three fighters as they appeared and did everything in his power to avoid getting surrounded. He was being driven off but he wouldn't let himself get trapped like this.

Re: Chapter 24: Armageddon[Earth]

-Ryder-

"Now you wanna run huh..." Several missiles were taken down by the vulcans but that didn't stop the rest of them from chasing the enemy suit as it tried to get away.

But while Johann was busy trying to shoot down the speedy little explosives the remote fighters under Ryder's control spread out and came at large beam cannon wielding unit from a triangle like position and began to unleash beam machine gun fire trying to catch the green machine in their paths.

The main unit, the Messiah transformed into battleroid mode and leveled its quantum beam gunpod at the retreating unit. "like shooting womprats." The weapon opened up and started to collect energy before firing an explosive beam grenade at the unit from the side.

Re: Chapter 24: Armageddon[Earth]

Raven Sterling

This boy clearly wasn't listening, as such further talk would yield nothing. More pressingly, the Belphagor was pursuing her with surprising speed. While Raven could not fully evade the Slice she had just enough tome to Twist the body so that rather than the live arm Kylern sliced another chunk out of the dead one.

Of course the saber wasn't all Raven had to deal with the heat wires snaked out quickly and began warping around her head. They began to cut into the head and the mask that hid the GNZ's true face Cracked revealing the right gundam eye. Following up her previous 'evasion' Raven raised her left arm, GN Beam claws alight, and sliced the heat wires between the Belphagor and herself. Even if the remaining lengths of wire managed to finish the head Raven would still be able to finish the fight, and it'd be a worthy sacrifice to rid him of some of those wires.

Raven released her remaining four fangs and dove downwards, hoping to let the speeding Belphagor over shoot her as the Bits began to dart to and fro firing on either side of the enemy machine.

-GN-X III's-

As Kyle Ryder tried to overwhelm Johann with superior numbers a trio Of GN-X III's came to his aid. They first swept their lance rifles along the streams of micro missiles from above hoping to thin the numbers to the point that the Gadessa's armor could handle the rest. They followed this by firing several rounds at each Ghost fighter hopping to break the formation and give poor Johann a break.

Re: Chapter 24: Armageddon[Earth]

-Belphagor-

-Warning... Warning... Vital signs erratic...-

The Guilty system began to flash an alarm as a trail of blood began to run down its pilots face and pooling in the helmet a bit. Kylern was hitting the last of his abilities as the stress began to tear at the insides of his body.

"Forget that... I gotta finish this battle..." He was even starting to sound tired as his movements began to becomes sluggish. The first was that his heat wires had been cut through leaving him with only one more arms worth of weapons. The next one was as he sliced through the dead arm of the enemy unit the Belphagor seemed to stumble mid-air becoming unbalanced as several Fangs delivered beams to the powerful AW armor. Though like the show the weapons couldn't completely pierce the armor and instead left nasty burn scores into the body. But that was the least of Kylern's problems...

-Flash System disengaged...-

The Belphagor's aggression seemed to die as it began to hang in the air while slowly drifting back to the ground. Its pilot was breathing hard and his vision was starting to blue. It was a tale tell sign that he was about to pass out from the stress and even Rena would know something was wrong as the V-Crystal started to dim.

"No I can't lose here... All those lives are at stake..." He managed to target the enemy unit for one final attack as the chest plates opened up a lower powered but still devestating blast of the Mega Sonic Smasher fired at Raven.

-Ghosts-

The remote weapons might have been focused on the strange unit but wouldn't be caught completely off guard as they were able to unleash their full missile payloads at the GN-XIII that dared fire at them. Then they exploded as the lance rifles ripped through their light armor.

All three fighters exploded but the GN-XIIIs would hopefully be crippled by the missiles swarms bearing down on them.

Raven Sterling

'Now!'

as the Belphagor turned it's movement slowed slightly That was her chance... As the belphagor's chest opened Raven unleashed a burst of GN Particles to accelerate the Gardezzo upwards. With the sun to her back and the revealed eye shining, Raven raised her Arm upwards and combined the Claws into a single blade.

"Boy! This has nothing to do with right and wrong. I'm merely returning the favor you did me!"

With that Raven descended, attempting to cleave the offending machine in two.

Re: Chapter 24: Armageddon[Earth]

-Belphagor-

Kylern watched on through the blood stained visor as a bright light filled the cockpit... Then nothing...

(I'll pick up on what happened in a flash back next season lets leave suspense as to what really happened)

-Ryder-

A painful spike ripped through his mind as his shot went off path from his initial target. He instinctivally turned and noticed the kid with the Gundam in trouble. He turned to save the younger guy...

(Chiku i'm ending it here since i'll be gone for the next three days. Your off the hook for anything I tried to do)

-Random DC forces-

The sky was alight with fire as various NPCs targeted Raven with railgun, beam, and missile fire to drive her off the battlefield.

Re: Chapter 24: Armageddon[Earth]

Raven Sterling/Victious Sterling

She'd done it. That Monster would never trouble her again she was certain she'd gotten him. She would have double checked but The DC Regulars soon began to swarm forcing her away. Just as she did this two things happened. The Gardezzo beeped a warning that the Particle count was passing 10% meaning she had to go and over a Fandom public channel Victious spoke.

"all Fandom forces, fall back, our job is done here. There is no need to watse anymore lives in this struggle."

Raven sneered at Victious' Orders but nonetheless obeyed after all she was running llow on GN particles. As the Gardezzo continued on it's withdrawal course, Leac a green mech with a GN Drive jumped in front of her and raise a pair of twin Gattlings.

"you'll pay for that you bi-"

Terrace didn't even finish his threat before he and his Heavyarms were promptly cleaved in two by Raven's large Beam Sabre. She didn't even stop her retreat.

Re: Chapter 24: Armageddon[Earth]

-Camilla and Richter-

"This...is not good."

The four officers' cap-wearing, sharp-uniformed SNRI officers around Dorel Richter as they stood, two to each side of Richter, Richter crouched down in pensiveness, looking down the edge of the rainforest cover that promptly ended with where Shuu Shirakawa's Prototype Shukutaihou blast had taken off a chunk of Jaburo only moments ago, simply couldn't believe what they were hearing; Richter ignored them as the officers stared incredulously at him, downwards. After what just happened back then, 'not good' most certainly did not do the state of Jaburo right that moment any ounce of justice at all --- they were staring at a massive hole that was what was left of a large part of Jaburo's own underground canopy, down where walls, blast doors and construction beams once were, to the buildings and highways of the base itself clearly visible below. Water, mud and sand tumbled down the edge at many places into the base below, in a tragically beautiful waterfall display. There weren't even any debris, any shredding on the edge they were looking down on; It was as if the sphere where the Prototype Shukutaihou blast was simply atomized without any trace at all, leaving Jaburo wide open.

Richter knew all that, of course, and moreso it was why he struggled even now to maintain a picture of calm --- and failing as he stood back up. The officers saw it as well: Richter's hands were shaking.

In one single blow, with that blast that atomized the upper canopy above that section of the base, Jaburo had been robbed of its greatest and most necessary asset: its secrecy. There were other sections of the base, of course, more to Jaburo than what could now be seen, but with Shuu, any myth that Jaburo had of its invincibility, of being untouchable, of being a Ghost Zone to the Fandom had been shattered utterly, along with a large part of Dorel Richter's own salvaging hopes for Jaburo. Richter tried to hold it in, but he couldn't stop shaking; He suddenly felt that while he had always relied on him being safe in Jaburo, that was no longer the case. Jaburo was no longer reliable, either.

Then what was? "It's going to take 55% of our internal storehouses alone to repair the canopy here," One officer piped up and looked to his fellows as Richter frowned and started pacing to and fro, left and right, in front of his four subordinates. "And while with the SPARTANs we have an excess of manpower, repairs are still not going to be very quick."

"We'll have to fix it anyway," A second officer piped up, catching the hint to not look to Richter for orders anytime soon. "The Fandom'll detect us pretty soon on their long-range sensors if they're even looking, and if they send a force, a gaping hole like this is pretty much a doormat for them to come right in and take what they want---"

"We have more than enough SPARTANs; We can hold for now against anything the Fandom throws at us." The third chimed. "The Fandom knows this. They won't charge straight in here while we still have this asset."

Richter kept pacing, saying nothing.

"There's also the Spacebound SNRI to consider," The first officer continued, shrugging. "They've been awfully quiet of late, and something like a colony drop probably didn't go unnoticed. If they try something right now, we're not in any position to stop them or impose any kind of executive authority---"

"What we really need is Federation reinforcements, not those spacenoid wannabes up on the Moon," The fourth officer finally suggested sharply. "If we can get through to the garrison at Mexico, we'll be able to coordinate a wider net of defence with them and resynchronize our defence line with the rest of the Federation. The Fandom won't be able to do anything then as long as we play our---"

"They're not coming, gentlemen."

Richter finally stopped pacing --- and all five turned quickly towards the red-clad, red-haired speaker that was striding up towards them, Lightsaber at her waist, with a scowl on her lips and a bitter fire in her eyes. And as her bitter flame made even the most stoic of the group shudder, even a fool could see that Camilla was angry --- and for a good reason. "What do you mean?" Richter asked, his voice slightly weak, still shaking. "Who's not coming?"

Camilla's eyes narrowed at that sight --- Shuu Shirakawa's words about Richter still rang in her head even now, and the Dorel Richter in front of her was no longer the calm, scheming man that ran the Strategic Naval Research Institute like his own personal kingdom but a simple, old drunkard, panicked and afraid of death. Or perhaps, Camilla sighed inwardly as she crossed her arms, Richter had always tried to project himself as the ideal commander --- was this what Dorel Richter truly was at the core? A snivelling coward? "Haven't you heard from the frenzied general communications grids around the Earth Sphere, gentlemen?" Camilla bit her lip and paused, her fists clenched as she shook her head at everyone:

"The Federation as we know it is no more. They've announced their full surrender to the Fandom as soon as the second colony hit and disbanded all standing forces."

"What!? The Federation gone?"

"But what about space?"

"They can't all have surrendered! I can't believe it! We still have zones of resistance somewhere..."

As the four officers, notably surprised, quickly turned to each other with a frenzied conversation to discuss what that meant, Richter simply stared at Camilla, face ashen, stunned with shock and rooted where he stood. The shaking returned, and all of a sudden the world around Richter took on a malicious gleam; Camilla's bitter look from her eyes was now mocking as well as she stared at him, taunting, teasing his impotence, and the officers around him were no better. One by one, their words beat on Richter's ears in a sardonic, intimidating whisper as Richter's eyes dilated with shock, the officers' panicked suggestions mingling with those whispers and rumors around Jaburo all through the past days, eluding Richter but always prevalent. Richter's hands shook more as he heard the rumors in his mind. Stupid fool...always drunk...who's really in command now...what are we stuck with...

"We can still remedy this!" The first officer suddenly exclaimed, and his loud voice as he raised his fist into the air caught everyone's attention --- and Richter's eyes widened in surprise as he awakened from his stupor --- to his detriment. "We gather all the SPARTANs and machines we have and make a thorough lightning strike against Hawaii while the Fandom are still gloating their victory, and if the Federation has nobody to surrender to---"

"No!"

And the first officer was cut short as Richter stepped forward, shuddering, eyes wild with panic --- he realized that his safety net, his only safety net left, was being taken from him. Without his SPARTANs, what would protect him? He'd be a simple old drunkard with no power and as good as dead, no place in the world, alone and forsaken. That can't happen. It can't happen. ItCan'tItCan'tItCan'tItCan'tItCan'tItCan'tItCan'tItCan'tItCan'tItCan'tICan'tLetMyselfBeObsolete "I'm not moving the SPARTANs from Jaburo to leave me vulnerable! We need to keep them here!"

"But if we don't move now, we'll---"

"No!"

"Sir! With all due respect! We are alone and isolated and the Fandom is---"

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

The only person who could've reacted to what came next was Camilla Greye --- and deep in her own shock at what was transpiring, she couldn't react (or deign to care) as all the others could only look on in horror...as Richter suddenly lunged forward with a demonic, inhumane desperation towards the first officer who could only gawk in terror at what he had unleashed with his persistance, Richter's hands finding a very tight grip on the officer's neck cuffs --- as Richter felt only the need to keep his safety net, he only saw red at the man before him: The man that sought to take it away, who was in league with Livingstone to render him obsolete and trap Richter and trap him trap him trap him trap him---

Everyone could only look on as Richter heaved his arms sideways, shoved, and threw the first officer unceremoniously off the edge and into the void below, screaming with a fading, pleading tone as he quickly disappeared onto the base to meet a gruesome end. All eyes were on Richter --- Richter's eyes, now bearing a reddened, murderous...and insane look around in challenge, daring anyone else to speak out.

"Anyone else who makes a suggestion that'll leave me---Jaburo vulnerable will suffer HIS fate!!! Am I UNDERSTOOD!?"

All but Camilla nodded, but Camilla could see the officers' eyes dull in unison; With the wanton murder, the display of insanity, they no longer saw Richter as their commander but as what Richter truly was: a tyrant, and an ambitious fool, unfit to lead. Too late, Camilla's heart sank, she too was trapped as she realized what she had really gotten herself into; Shuu was right, Camilla sighed wistfully, biting her lip to keep her regrets bottled in, Shuu was right all along. Richter's going to get me killed, and I can never turn back now, with or without June and Emily. My Master will never forgive me now, not for throwing my lot in with a madman vehemently trying to defy his fate...

Camilla wished that she had the courage to simply draw her Lightsaber and strike Richter down now --- and could feel the other officers wishing the same thing.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

"It can't be the end," Richter whispered to himself, looking down at the edge again; Of the first officer, there was no sign but no doubts on his ultimate fate. Richter shook his head quickly; It was better than what he was destined for---no, I can't think like that. I can't be obsolete, I can't be done yet! I won't be done yet, I won't, I won't, even if I have to burn down this whole Earth Sphere to do it! "There's got to be something I can do, I've got to have options. I'm safe in Jaburo, I'm safe, I'm safe. I have a purpose. I'm not good as dead."

And Richter smiled madly to himself, away from the others.

"I'm never finished as long as I still have the SPARTAN Project, and as long as I still have her in my custody..."
