Re: Chapter 22:-455 Fahrenheit [Space]

-Livingstone-

In response, Steve shook his head. The Tera S'ono leapt slightly...and kicked its Flying Armor towards the Soleares.

"Oh, I'm very aware of how Players think when it comes to In-Party Fighting, rest assured. So I'm not going to even bother." Livingstone simply said, his voice firm. "You don't have very much time, so I'll be brief. Killing you serves no purpose except to waste my ammo. This Subflight System will either bring you to Side 6 or Von Braun or Amman or wherever you want to go, or get you to Earth --- it'll have enough fuel for it. I leave it to you to choose. Just walk away, and that'll be the end of it; Persist in attacking me, however, and you will find a foe beyond your mortal comprehension. The choice is yours."

As Steve says this, however, Kellen would feel a strange sense of compulsion emitting in waves from the Tera S'ono as Steve's words rang out --- a feeling as if really suggesting she take the Flying Armor and doing what he suggests, for her own good. Steve awaited eagerly within the cockpit at that, narrowing his eyes, focusing on the Soleares; This feeling of compulsion was not natural, emitting from Steve's mind and his force of will amplified through the Tera S'ono. And yet, it was nothing, Steve sighed --- a mere fragment, indeed, compared to the true power of the Tera S'ono once it was actually finished...

Not waiting for a response, Steve wheeled the Tera S'ono around at that, and pushed its thrusters; With a burst of engine flare, the Tera S'ono burst away from the Soleares, the Flying Armor floating towards Kellen, and began rejoining the rest of the SNRI ships heading towards the Moon.

Re: Chapter 22:-455 Fahrenheit [Space]

-Kellen Cypher-

'why?' the question echoed with a dozen times. It didn't make any sense why would this man help her. Even if he didn't want to waste ammo, A poor excuse for one using beam weapons, he still had no reason to let her live he should have just let her drift away till her oxygen was exhausted.

It could be a trap or perhaps some other way of furthering the SNRI's agenda but, even so, Kellen felt the irresistible compulsion to take the sled. Not being a newtype she had no means to resist it. Using bit more of her precious fuel Kellen reached out and took the sled. A few moments later she was speeding away in the opposite direction to the SNRI fleet.

Now another question came to her, where to go. the sled had enough fuel to go almost anywhere in the Earth sphere (a rather impressive feat all things considered). But there were other things that limited Kellen now, notably, oxygen. She had about 4 -5 hours worth and unfortunately for her she knew of no destination that she could reach in that time...

Re: Chapter 22:-455 Fahrenheit [Space]

- Merciless -

The Hambrabis continued to harass the pirate forces, throwing off the aim of the Vayeates for a while, then breaking off before they were drawn too far out. Turning back, all ten remaining mobile armours fired their feyadeen rifles twice at the enemy reinforcements. From the opposite edge of the engagement the twelve Crouda came in range and fired their beam rifles in a covering pattern, hoping to ease the pressure off their commander and his escorts.

Tyber had their hands full with the Duraxyls bit-like attack, that the Forbidden's machine gun found their mark, but were stopped by the Byalant's gundarium armour. In response, Tyber fired the M-Particle cannons in both hands, both at the Taors Tail binder, the Duraxyl, and the Forbidden, though his accuracy suffered as a result.

Similarly, Urai ducked and weaved, all his years of experience needed to avoid the barrage of beams from the Duraxyl, that he only just managed to bring the flexible shields around as it was impacted by the Raider Gundams hammer. The shield was horribly bent, but it did it job and protected the suit from greater damage. Urai responded by firing the shoulder missiles at the Duraxyl and charging the Raider with the large beam sword.

Silri was exhilarated. The attack by both the Gundams sent her bits scattering, losing four in the process. Ducking and weaving around the Psyrods and beam fire, the Bertigo's heavy armour absorbing the beam confuse, she sensed something had changed about her target, but she could not tell what. Ducking 'below', Silri fired the two beam rifles at the Dezpada three times while four of the bits struck out at the Zeta, firing in an ever tightening pattern. The remaining four bits struck out at the Dezpada, from behind the Bertigo itself. As the white mobile suit ducked and weaved, the bits would appear from behind and fire before retreating back out of view.

From the fleet, four Gaplants broke formation and sped toward the engagement at their rear. Acting against orders, the pilots had barely seen combat yet and hoped for a chance to win some renown by saving the ass of Tyber Zann himself.

Far from the action, the Federation was making an expeditious retreat toward the L4 Space Fortress Aratea, the last remaining Federation stronghold in the Earth Sphere.

Re: Chapter 22:-455 Fahrenheit [Space]

-Kellen Cypher-

the obvious destination would have been the DC's space base problem was Kellen had no idea where they were. All the colonies, including side 6, were out of her range. Kellen considered the earth, The DC's Aidoneus Island might have been a possibility a few minutes ago but the combination of her own movement and the earth's rotation meant it was longer an option. In addition descending into the middle of a battlefield seemed a very bad choice in the Soleares condition.

Kellen was busy considering what exactly she should do as the Flying Armor passed though the debris belt. Civilian efforts had made it significantly safer to traverse but there was still some danger involved. Danger which Kellen didn't expect. Unseen, a lone bolt of about 500 g was tumbling, end over end, towards the Flying Armor's flight path. This Bolt was traveling well over 2000 Kph.

Her only warning was a small clunk that was transmitted through the mech's frame, The bolt's journey took it through the lifter and out the other side in seconds with disastrous results. A fuel line and a LOX line were both ripped open. It took only seconds for the engine's heat to trigger the inevitable. The Flying Armor filled with an absurd amount of fuel erupted into a massive pink explosion.

The Soleares leg's were utterly annihilated by the Blast itself and shrapnel from them and the flying armor tore the right arm clean off above the elbow. Kellen didn't even have enough time to register what was happening before a particularly large hunk of Gundarium Gamma smashed into the cockpit hatch. Around her a storm of glass and sparks erupted her suit was ripped and a red hot piece of metal sliced at her left arm. Her upper body was thrown forward into the deformed front of the cockpit then back against the seat. Her world went black in the quite of space.

((She's not dead; this was just the only way i could get her into the proper position.))

Re: Chapter 22:-455 Fahrenheit [Space]

-Necronomicon-

The Hambrabis and Croudas would find that, by firing at the Forbidden Gundam in its Close Combat mode, they were only making things worse for themselves; As the various shots and attacks coming at the Forbidden were blocked by the Geschmeidig Panzer binders, the beams were deflected by an invisible field in all directions, scattering around the area --- some of them, even, flying right back at the Croudas and Hambrabis themselves. The same went for the Byalant's own blast at it, although as a result of the amount of fire coming at him, HWG sneered in a whiny-like manner as he was forced into the defensive, only managing two Railgun shots back at Tyber Zann while spinning the Forbidden Gundam's Scythe, lashing out once at a nearby Crouda's head; At the same time, the Duraxyll spun out of the way of the Byalant's blast at it and, moving with the motion, made a powerful spinning slash at the Byalant as it advanced, one of the Taors Tails exploding without fanfare as Tyber managed to score a hit on it. The rest, however, continued to rain fire as they circled erratically around the Duraxyll, sending rainbow-colored beams at the Hambrabis and Croudas as well on occasion.

"Perfect timing!" Gyunei, on Urai's end, suddenly exclaimed as the Raider Gundam suddenly transformed into Mobile Armor mode as the R-Jarja closed in to slice at it and rocketed forward, past Urai --- as its claws raked towards the R-Jarja's torso while passing by, its Mjolnir Hammer dangled, spun, and did something else: it tried to grapple onto the R-Jarja's sword arm and spin around it, to drag the R-Jarja along with the Raider. Should the attack succeed in dragging the R-Jarja off-balance and hooking it with the Mjolnir, Gyunei would then smirk as he quickly would bring the Raider back into MS mode and --- nearly point-blank --- fire its Zorn Beam Cannon from the Raider's head at Urai's R-Jarja. Otherwise, the Raider would rocket away with its burst of speed, swerve left, and transform, firing multiple blasts from the Zorn Cannon from a distance instead.

Mari, panting with the feeling of battle she hadn't felt in weeks, struggled for a bit as the Zeta Gundam was forced to transform into Waverider Mode again to avoid the Bits coming at her; Swerving right, then down, Mari would move the Zeta in a blaze beneath Silri's Beltigo, barrel-rolling erratically, and transform back while floating backwards with the momentum...spinning her Magical Staff as it glowed pink again. As the entire staff seemed to glow with energy, a large pink Beam Blade lanced out from the heart-shaped end of the Magical Staff and solidified there, conjuring the secondary function from the Zeta Gundam's original Hyper Mega Launcher; Then suddenly charging back between the four Bits chasing her, Mari would narrow her eyes and tense her body as the Zeta quickly spun the staff in a whirl, becoming a whirlwind of Beam Sword energy to slice down the Bits at once...

Seemingly with his Newtype senses and mental cognition enhanced by the properties of the active System Fafnir, Melodius seemed to struggle considerably less with Silri than previous; Sensing not only Silri's motions but also the goings-ons around the entire battlefield, Melodius weaved through the Bits and the Beltigo's fire with graceful ease, spinning left and then leaping up, then rolling backwards --- its Missile Launchers and Beam Cannons blazed again as Melodius circled around and above the Beltigo, sending a mass of beam fire and missiles at the Hambrabis and Croudas as another of his Psyrods was shot down by the bits; In return, as Melodius came back to face with Silri afterwards and blazed in a strafing motion down, the two Psyrods shot at the Beltigo directly at her flanks while Melodius attempted to pass by Silri, striking out with his Beam Saber in the process.

With the SPARTANs having pulled back out of battlefield range, Melodius knew he wouldn't have to stay here any longer; Just a bit more, to ensure that the Federation was safely away...

Re: Chapter 22:-455 Fahrenheit [Space]

- Merciless -

Through their fire had been reflected back at them, it was unfocused and random. The Hambrabis weaved around the fire, while the Croudas that didn't evade were easily able to take the hit on their armour. Learning from this, they shifted their fire to the Raider. Four of the blue mobile armours however, took advantage of the Forbidden's decapitation of a Crouda to fire their sea serpents from four different directions, staggering the fire to anticipate any evasive manoeuvres the Gundam-type might make.

The R-Jarja was indeed caught, but Urai quickly detached the heat saber from the beam rifle and swung at the cord connecting the two machine. This manoeuvre raised his position and the fire from the Gundams mouth disintegrated one of the R-Jarja's legs from the knee down. A group of Crouda moved up and begun firing away at the Raider to give the Major time to recover, while the remaining Hambrabis also swooped in firing the twim beam rifles and feyadeen rifles.

Tyber was so swamped with beams from the Duraxyl the the railgun fire from the Forbidden was lost among it. Focussing on the big, Gundam looking machine, Tyber saw a fleeting opening, spun to the left of the Duraxyl, dipped below and fired up at it, twice from each hand.

Silri however would soon find the pressure on her lessened somewhat. The four Gaplants closed in on Mari's Zeta as another two of Silri's bits were lost in the swirling energy. The eight beam rifles fired almost in unison at the Gundam with the wand, which really confused the pilots.

The situation still did become much easier for Silri, who dodged one Psyrod, and somehow allowed the other to come so close, it demolished the large crest on the Bertigo's head. She only just managed to recover in time to parry Melodious' beam saber as he blew passed her. Now using all six remaining bits, When did I lose half, she thought randomly, Silri fired her beam rifles at Melodious and the bits spread out and begun the standard attack pattern, attack from random direction on two's and threes or more. Still her enjoyment of the fight did not let up, as she began to chuckle slightly inside the cockpit. The sound would be very disturbing to anyone not used to it, for it seemed to embody the very opposite of mirth and joy.

Re: Chapter 22:-455 Fahrenheit [Space]

-Necronomicon-

Still in Mobile Armor mode, the Raider was forced to roll and turn to evade as the Hambrabis and Croudas seemingly focused their fire on Gyunei alone; Shuddering in a cold sweat and growling heavily, Gyunei weaved himself through the beam fire, darting every direction he could; HWG, on the other hand, met with four Hambrabis with Sea Serpents and could only watch as the special weapons came at the Forbidden --- and coiled around the Forbidden's Trans-Phase Shift Armor. As the Forbidden kept charging forward, HWG yelled loudly...and then realized his fatal mistake as he suddenly felt the Forbidden stop cold...and then sizzle with electricity. They were the one thing Trans-Phase armor could not protect him from. Even then, it was too late; The Forbidden's elaborate defence systems ended up working against him in the end, and both the Trans-Phase Generators and Geschmeidig Defence Systems quickly burnt out, then erupted --- and engulfed the entire Gundam in multiple explosions.

"Enough! Off with you now!" Was Tuxedo Mask's angry yell as Tyber Zann's sudden attack, as the Duraxyll wheeled around hurriedly to meet him, blew off the Duraxyll's left arm altogether, leaving a sparking, torn stub where the arm joint once was; TM was quick enough, however, and the other arm swung down hard at the Byalant, bringing its Mega Beam Saber down towards the Byalant to cleave it from the head down.

As Mari was about to go after Silri, however, the sudden appearance of the Gaplants forced Mari to change her plans. Hurriedly transforming into Waverider Mode again, the Zeta Gundam blasted upwards and rolled defensively, dodging around the new volley of fire and with two of the shots landing grazing hits on one of the Zeta's wings; That was when, as Mari took a deep breath and centered herself, the Magical Staff suddenly lit up --- and the Waverider suddenly sped up, somersaulted upwards, and turned towards two of the Gaplants, the Magical Staff raining Beam Rifle fire back at the new attackers.

"Are you out of new tricks, little witch? Do you have no more trump cards to use?" Was Melodius' question that rang out towards Silri's mind through the amplification of System Fafnir as the Dezpada dashed downwards, leapt right, then shot up again; It was his own counter towards Silri's wild sound, to nullify any psychological advantages she may have with it. A third Psyrod exploded at the attack, as did one of the Dezpada's antennas, but it was then Melodius' turn --- and the Dezpada boosted away, swiping the last Psyrod like an electromagnetic whip at two of the Bits while its Beam Cannon fired another mass spread of beams at the Beltigo, then moving away and towards the rear of the Beltigo again in an almost blurry motion. "You'll need more than your little toy here to overwhelm the power of System Fafnir, witch..."

Re: Chapter 22:-455 Fahrenheit [Space]

- Merciless -

The Raider's every move was quickly dogged by the agile Hambrabis, with half of them tailing the black and red Gundam closely in MA mode, easily following the twisting and dipping mobile armour with their multiple monoeye sensors, firing their beam rifles as rapidly as they could. The other half hung back covering from long range with their feyadeen rifles.

The Croudas now free of a target turned back and split into two groups. One group moved back to support the Bertigo, firing their beam rifles as to ignited their beam cutters and charged the Dezpada, as Silri was forced to spin and dip, transforming to the more agile flight mode, as the Psyrods demolished two more of her bits. The fire from the beam cannon cam close enough to melt the tip of the left beam rifle 'wing'. The explosion forced the Bertigo to the right, faltering slightly, but the Croudas quickly moved to cover their superior.

The other Croudas moved to support Tyber, firing their beam rifles at the Duraxyl's rear, the bulk of the elemental machine providing an easy target. For his part, Tyber only just managed to bring up a beam saber, though the power behind the Duraxyl's swing still forced the Mega Beam Saber down, melting the tops of the verniers mounted on the backpack.

The Gaplants quickly performed a barrel roll to avoid the fire from the magic wand. Still very unsure of what to make of this Gundam, two of the Gaplants transformed to mobile suit mode and raised the vernier binders and fired twice at the Zeta as their comrades continued toward their target, overshooting the Gundam, but flipped the vernier binders around to fire behind them, back at the Gundam which was now surrounded.

Re: Chapter 22:-455 Fahrenheit [Space]

-Necronomicon-

"...Ow. That's gotta hurt for Heavy Weapons Guy," Tuxedo Mask muttered, and while the Duraxyll's bulk was big, its *speed* wasn't --- as the other machines came at it, it swerved and moved back hurriedly in spinning motions, another two of the Taors Tails being shot down in the process while the rest continued to rain fire all around the Duraxyll. "Man, HWG, looks like they're gonna have to glue you back together --- in hell!!!"

"That's enough fighting. We're getting out of here." Melodius ordered, and neither of them were going to argue with that. As the Dezpada weaved through the new fire from the Croudas, its binders opened and the unit pushed nimbly backwards in a strafe, sending another spread of beams and whatever missiles were left into the formation of Fandom MSes in conjunction with the Taors Tails. Melodius sighed at a certain thought at that, turning to where the Zeta was likewise trying to avoid fire, now darting about in its MA mode. "Mari, where do you intend to go from here? Why don't you come back with us? It's not safe for you on the Moon alone."

Mari paused at that, her heart catching itself. She had to admit that she had never thought that far ahead; Magical Girls didn't have to, generally, but now that Melodius proposed it...Mari was all too willing to admit that it was a good idea, since she's stepped on too many heads to make it somewhere on her own by now, for now. As long as she didn't have to deal with TM anymore...

She nodded. "Right! I'll follow closely!"

"Fall back! The rest of you don't fall behind!" Melodius yelled again, and the Dezpada, Zeta Gundam, Duraxyll and Raider Gundam promptly turned around, avoiding fire and with the fastest Dezpada providing retreating cover fire, sending a mass of beams at the Hambrabis pursuing the Raider. Soon enough, with the machines' individual speeds, they were away from the battlefield themselves.

Re: Chapter 22:-455 Fahrenheit [Space]

- Merciless -

The volume of fire that pour out of the retreating pirates took down another two Hambrabis, one of the Gaplants and even managed to down a Crouda. Just as the forces gathered themselves to pursue, Tyber Zann sent an order to all the mobile suits.

"All forces. This is Tyber Zann. You are not to pursue the enemy. Do not waste yourselves in a pointless display. We have one a great victory here, and after so long the Moon belong to the Fandom. Return to the city, and await further orders."

As the various mobile suits and TMA turned back and made for the moon, the Byalant, R-Jarja and Bertigo all limped back to the Merciless, which was also heading for the Von Braun dock. As the three mobile suits touched down, the R-Jarja with some difficulty due to the missing leg, he ree officers exited the mobile suit. Silri, characteristically floated down and left the hanger without so much as a word to anyone.

Tyber and Urai both landed on the hanger floor as mechanics and crew swarmed over their mboile suits, assessing the damage. Taking Tyber aside, Urai asked seriously, "Who were those forces, Tyber. They were like nothing I've ever seen before."
"I don't know Urai, but I have a feeling we'll be seeing them again." He turned away from his old friend and bodyguard and continued, saying, "That aside I have a moon to oversee. Let's get to it."
"Of course, Tyber."

[Vexation]

Captain Arthur B. Edding was exhuasted as he went over the ship roster. 250 brave men and women were his responsibiliy, and it was a heavy thought indeed. The crew was a mix, alot of fresh recruits and a lot of older men and women too. But something bothered him about the combat team. They were a bunch of kids, and only one had combat experience.

This bothered him the most. War does change! Don't believe that war never changes crap, because this one was different. A battleship's role in combat had been dimished entirely. She now relied heavily on mobile suit protection, or the ship would quickly fall to the impressive machines.

So why would his superiors only assign a handful of inexperience rookies to the Vexation[i/]? Edding would never find out why...

-Vexation Bridge-

the young Operator tasked with monitoring the IR sensors was starring at his screen with a youthful intensity. He was right out of school and had that overly eager demeanor that many newbies have. Perhaps it was lucky that he did as an older operator would have probably ignored the small but sudden flare that his Scope picked up right at the edge of it's range. The kid almost jumped out of his seat in a panic as he called out.

Captain Edding was slow to respond, he couldn't risk sending the ship. So he quickly checked the security cameras to see what the pilots were up too.

"Contact, Ensigns Crossroad,Shilliegh and Sizeworth get them on the launch pad,and outta here. Tell them to be wary of mines...Send someone to get Crossroad, he appears to be listening to very load music, i mean loud music."

-Brendon Sizeworth-

Brendon's quarters were actually right beside Justin's.

"Yo man!" He said waving his arm's trying to get his attention. "We need to launch to do a patrol like 3 minutes ago"

The young man shrugged as his brisk walk turned into a slow jog. "Explosion, we have to investigate...They think there might be mines out there."

[Alliona Shilliegh]

Stood waiting in the hangar, her hands on her hips complimented with an angry expression. As the two boys waltzed into the hangar rather late, she began to unleash the nag.

"You're both late! We could've been back by now, the whole ship had to stop because of this and now we're wasting time!"

She pouted angrilly as she kicked off the floor and into the cockpit of her mobile suit.

Re: Chapter 22:-455 Fahrenheit [Space]

- Federation Fleet Remnants -

The Victory, Grey Wolf and Pericles, the last remnants of the Federation's Lunar Fleet had made their way out of the Lunar airspace and were now approaching L4, the site of the Space Fortress, Aratea, the final Federation stronghold.

On the bridge of the Victory, General Armstrong opened communication with the fortress. "Aratea Command, this is Maj. Gen. Olivier Armstrong of the Lunar Fleet. If you are unaware, the Fandom attack with overwhelming force and have now taken control of all Lunar Bases, including Von Braun City. The Victory, Grey Wolf and Pericles are all that have survived. We intend to take refuge at Aratea while we plan our counter-attack. That is all."

The reply came very swiftly, "General Armstrong, this is Aratea Command. We became aware of a large scale battle around the moon. We are sorry to here so much is lost. All ships are clear to dock through Port E-7D, we are transferring co-ordinates now."

"Thank you, Command."

- Von Braun City -

The Fandom forces under Tyber Zann had fully occupied Von Braun. Foot soldiers were currently scouring the city for any Federation personnel, assisted by the recalled Defilers. Never willing to rest, Zann had already sent up a early warning system for any Federation counter-attack, and reinforcements had been called in from Daedalus to replace the losses suffered in battle. To be true, the Federation had fared better than he would have liked, but the results could not be ignored.

Setting himself up in the former Federation headquarters building, Tyber was working through reports about what the Federation had left behind in the various warehouses and facilities. Urai was with him, as always, and Silri had disappeared again while the Bertigo underwent repairs. The Byalant and R-Jarja were similarly damaged and Tyber had redirected several crew to work on those machines ahead of others.

-Von Braun-

As Tyber's forces began their occupation of the city a pair of Nazca Class vessel's appeared and requested landing permission. Aboard was a team of scientists and engineers from Wissen. They bore classified orders From Victious Sterling him self and immediately set about requisitioning construction equipment throughout the city.

It wasn't long before word of the activity of the Wissen team reached Urai Fenn, via the intelligence network that he controlled throughout the fleet. Urai worked as quickly as was prudent, gathering facts before presenting a report to Tyber in his office.

"It seems that these men from Wissen are acting under direct orders from Victious Sterling. I have been unable to ascertain their intentions. What do you think, Tyber."

Tyber steepled his fingers and leant forward onto the large mahogany and gold inlaided desk, quite a luxury in space, where such displays of elegance . "I say we continue to watch and see. Sterling obviously has plans for this city that I worked so hard to win. I can surmise that Sterling will send Aelfhere to join us shortly to supervise this pet project of his."

"As you wish Tyber. I will instruct my men to continue to observe and report."

Soon several of Fenn's agents would have attempted to infiltrate the workforce used for the construction of Sterling's project.
