OOC: 48'ed again in the hope of wrapping this up quick(er)

- Buxoro team forward units –

Lt. Robin

The Buxoro’s CO sprang after the wounded Nemo at full vernian, barking orders while he closed with his target, and his prey's shots found only open space. He was determined not to let Lt. Ellefson get away, and fuel be damned.
“They’re retreating!” He shouted over the team channel and grimaced as the last one of Ellefson’s beam shots grazed the right shoulder shield, leaving a nasty scar traveling the length of it, then continued, “After ‘em boys!”
Finally he closed with his prey and took another swipe with his saber, aiming for the torso and looking to finish the job.

Ens. August

No sooner had Ltjg.Chandler finished unloaded at Sven, his threat indicator warbled and a second later the first of Tyler's shots struck from behind. It hit his Nemo's left shoulder and spun him around clockwise almost 90 degrees, which turned out to be a godsend for him as the next two beams past by behind him, blackening the suit but little else. If he had been moving either one of those two beams would have slagged him.
"You lucky SOB!" Tyler said to himself.
“They’re retreating!” His commander's voice came in slightly grainy over the radio and stopped him from immediately following up on his shots, “After ‘em boys!”
"Roger." he replied, then kicked on his engines and sent three more bolts in Chandler's direction while moving closer to aid Beta team.

"Damn, missed him," Aaron grumbled to himself as he then had to dodge the return fire from Friedman. He was poised to make a counterattack when the Nemo spun around and began to retreat.

“They’re retreating," came Elijah's voice over the radio, "After ‘em boys!”

"Copy that Lt., moving to pursue," he responded. A feeling of exhilaration came over him as he felt that they had gained the upper hand on the AEUG forces. "Alright, we've got'em running!"

His Hi-Zack moved in behind Friedman's Nemo, took aim and fired twice.

- Ellefson Team -

Lt. Ellefson grunted through gritted teeth as Robin made another attempt to end his life with a beam saber, but his burst of speed to spur on the retreat allowed him to stay just ahead of his opponent. The swing missed his suit, but cleaved his beam rifle in half as he pressed on his thrusters to put distance between them. The rifle blossomed into a small pink fireball, and he started to sweat as he watched the three AEUG ships slowly creep closer in his HUD. “I need some covering fire!” he called out, looking for help from anyone who could hear him.

After turning away from Faraday, Ens. Friedman had made sure to keep a rear-view image projected into the bottom corner of his display. Once the Titans got the upper hand in a battle like this, they wouldn’t be content to let the smaller AEUG fleet retreat to reorganize. Sure enough, Aaron stayed right on his tail as he headed for his team’s ship and continued to make his presence felt with more beam fire. He rolled his Nemo onto its right side and ‘pulled up’ to avoid Aaron’s initial burst of pursuit fire. His CO’s panicked call for help came across the radio and his eyes narrowed at the lack of coordination the fleet was showing. Ellefson had joined the AEUG as a civilian, and the way he tended to react to situations showed his lack of EFSF training. Friedman made contact with the flagship and rattled off calmly, “Tanaka Maru, this is Ens. Friedman. We’re in general retreat. Be advised that enemy mobile suits are in pursuit,”.

Ens. Samuelson had somehow managed to temporarily disengage from Alpha Team long enough to orient himself in the correct direction and hit his thrusters. He was close enough to hear Ellefson’s distress call, and he reluctantly changed direction slightly to take him closer to where his CO was trying to stay ahead of Lt. Robin. Even though he didn’t have a shield (or a forearm to mount it on) he still had a charged beam rifle, and he put it to use, firing two shots at Robin to distract him. “Get closer to the ships,” he said, trying to help his team leader shake his attacker.

- The Tanaka Maru -
- Bridge -

“What the hell is Lt. Ellefson doing leading them right at us?!” the helmsman shouted as the bulk of the thruster flares ahead of the fleet swirled, changed direction and began to head in the direction of the AEUG ships. “Scramble the gunnery teams!” Capt. Mustaine commanded, rising from his station. The converted cargo ship didn’t have any large weapons, but it had been equipped with a small compliment of anti-MS emplacements. The Tanaka Maru would have to rely on its escort ships to do any heavy duty fighting, which is why they had chosen to keep their distance from the Latium. Unfortunately, if enemy MS were close enough for the Tanaka Maru to open fire, it meant they were already well within their own weapons range.

Jason continued to smile as he saw his shots connect and blow off the(zander) Nemo's arm. His grin turned into a laugh when he saw the Unit's I.D. which he had just saved was M-Hover. This would eat him up. Jason thought as he opened his comm.

"Image that. I just saved a newtype." Jason chuckled

Returning his attention to the wounded (zander) Nemo before it gets its bearings, Jason fires 3 shots to finish off and put the rebel out of his misery.

When the rifle exploded Lt. Robin had to look away from the miniature sun that formed almost directly in front of him and swore. Blinking the spots out of his eyes he made to have another go at Ellefson before two beams came between him and the desperate Lieutenant and stopped him. With the momentum of his charge gone, Ellefson had earned a reprieve. Elijah located the source of the shots but couldn't do too much but track the suit as his primary ranged weapon lacked the stopping power to be effective.
Not that it mattered though. "If they don't have ships to go home to, they cant get far." he told himself, seeing the silhouettes of 2 ships that could only be Sally K's and one he didn't recognize as they prepped to receive and intercept.
Punching up the com and warily tracking the retreating Nemos he switched gears, hoping that Minovsky interference was low enough to reach the Taskforce.
“Echo, be advised. There are at least two Salamis type cruisers in the vicinity and one unknown silhouette. Enemy MS are in general retreat and we are moving to pursue. Though we could use some extra firepower here shortly."
He then transmitted the approximate spacial coordinates of the two forward ships (Salamis') as best as he and the computer could judge.

(OOC: As I mentioned in the Discussion thread, I'm taking control of Wolf and Sven to move things along. After this post, they are back under Fritz's control)

-Sibuyan II Team Area-
-Jefferson and Ritter-

Jefferson's first shot was far off, but the AEUG pilot almost did it with his second. Wolf had kept up his corkscrew move almost a second too long, stopping the spin with no room to spare, as the Nemo's beam passed close enough to take the tip off of the middle shoulder spike, leaving a black streak across the shoulder as well. The rest of Jefferson's beams overshot Ritter's position, but the AEUG pilot was just racing along in a straight line, not trying to juke.

Ritter didn't waste a second, he swung his beam launcher around, stopped his movement for a clean shot, led the target, and fired.

Jefferson, still heading 'foward', toward where the AEUG formations had been, he wasn't aware that a route was on, had kept an eye on Ritter's postion. He'd seen his beams miss, Jefferson couldn't tell one had done minor damage, the oddly colored Marasai stop, and fire again.

Jefferson had been going too fast, which in the end, allowed him to live a little longer. The beam should have hit his Nemo square in the chest, for Wolf was a good shot, but instead, with the Nemo speeding up as it burned more fuel and became lighter, the shot instead hit the Nemo's crotch, scant meters below the cockpit. Jefferson was shook wildly as the Nemo came to a dead stop. The beam had burned clear through, the lower part of Nemo, destroying the beam sabers, melting the lower part of his thrusters, and had completely severed the left leg, sending it spinning off into the void of space.

Red and yellow warning lights flashed wildly, reporting failures of one sort or another in every thruster, the right leg wasn't responding at all, the AMBAC system was trying to account for too many things. Jefferson knew instantly that the Nemo would be a total loss, but the beam rifle still worked. Jefferson's hands move the control sticks, pointed the beam rifle at Wolf's Marasai, which was still not moving, and quickly fired a shot, before moving to attempt one other thing.

Ritter had seen his shot hit. It wasn't a clean kill, but the AEUG suit was dead, or would soon be. When the Nemo's right arm moved and the beam rifle flashed, Ritter was briefly shocked, but that didn't prevent him from moving his Marasai easily out of the way, and firing another shot.

Jefferson hadn't concerned himself with how his shot had faired. He quicked pressed the handful of buttons required to eject his panoramic cockpit pod into space. Jefferson closed his eyes and slammed his palm onto the final button, bracing for the shock of being tossed into space in the tiny sphere...

...But nothing happened. Instantly, another series of warning messages appeared on the screen. And instantly, Jefferson remembered. He remembered his training, where he'd been told, like everyone else, that the ejection systems rarely worked, how they could easily be damaged. How, unless they worked automatically and ejected you, they likely wouldn't. How to never assume they would work.

And Jefferson didn't get a chance to think anymore. The next beam was a direct hit, right on the cockpit. Jefferson was killed instantly by it, which also ignited the Nemo's remaining fuel in it's main tanks, which caused the first explosion. Several smaller ones followed it, as fuel in the remaining leg, vulcan ammo, and various other combustable things in the MSA-003 were detonated.

Fairly satisfied with the death of the Nemo, Wolf Ritter reoriented himself towards some shooting not far away, the rest of this Nemo team, he assumed, correctly, and raced towards it.

===============================================

-Chandler, Beebe, and Haksson-

A two events happened almost at the same instant.

The first was Sven Haksson relized he made an error, thinking that the Nemo's had been moving to support the rest of their team. Both machines had fired several shots at him, creating a deadly crossfire. Sven moved as best he could, reacting first to Beebe's shots coming from above his position, and then to Chandler's shots, because Sven had not stopped moving and Chandler's shots had been along his path. Sven cringed and shook with his RMS-108 as a beam, he wasn't sure from which Nemo, hit his suit's right leg, just above the foot, slagging a chunk of the leg one one of the thrusters mounted there.

The second event was Chandler was fired upon by Tyler August. That Titan pilot had fired three beams at Chandler, scoring a hit on the left shoulder. The beam had hit at a very shallow angle, and while it spun the Nemo around and ruined the shoulder thruster, it did nothing else, not even affect arm movement, but Chandler wasn't aware of this yet. He was still spinning, and as a result, August's second trio of shots totally missed Chandler.

Sven saw this, although he didn't know which Marasai that it had been, and sprayed four shots toward Chandler's Nemo. The Lieutenant J.g. barely recovered from the spin and was trying to figure out what had happeneed when the beams hit. Two of them hit the Nemo squarely in the torso, one breaching the reactor, and the Nemo was a small atomic fireball an instant later.

Sven was almost overtaken by Ensign Beebe, who came in from above, firing two shots and swiping with his beam saber. Sven reacted instantly, moving further 'downward', but not enough, as one of the beams passed close enough to leave a long black mark along the side of the head, melting the vulcan barrel but, thankfully, not setting off the ammo of the gun. Sven's beam saber came up, blocking Beebe's slash scant meters away from his Marasai's torso.

Both men made the same move. Both beam rifles came up, aimed at the torso, but neither fired, for both men were aware that they would certainly set off the other man's reactor, and wouldn't be able to escape quickly enough. The floated there in space, beam sabers locked, for what seemed an endless amount of time, but was really only a few seconds, neither sure who would make the first move.

Beebe did. The Ensign fired his head vulcans and pulled away, disengaging his beam saber with a swiping motion. The vulcan rounds did nothing, merely putting small dents in the armor, and the swipe was too high, for all it did was cut though the antenna and upper part of the Marasai's shoulder shield. Sven slashed his beam saber as well, but found more of a target, cutting through both of the Nemo's knees at the joints.

Beebe was through off balance, his Nemo out of control as it unintentionally gained some distance from Sven, who leveled his beam rifle and fired a shot. His beam caught the Nemo in the chest at the same moment as another beam, this one fired from Wolf Ritter's beam launcher as he arrived in the immediate area, hit the Nemo in the backpack. Beebe never saw either beam, and was gone as the Nemo exploded, sending chunks of gundarium α armor in every direction, some of which dented the armor of the two Beta Team Marasais that had just wiped out the Sibuyan II team.

Intermittent radio chatter had been streaming in to the Titans flagship for the duration of the battle, but when Lt. Robin from the Buxoro spoke up it finally gave Trent a better picture in his mind’s eye of what was going on.

“Echo, be advised. There are at least two Salamis type cruisers in the vicinity and one unknown silhouette. Enemy MS are in general retreat and we are moving to pursue. Though we could use some extra firepower here shortly."

The captain of the Kirov turned to Chief Kellman who gave him a crisp nod. “Sir, we’ve confirmed the destruction of six Nemos, with one pending,” he summarized, flashing the paper he and Fyodor had been using to keep a running tally as they listened to the pilots communications. “Then it sounds like Lt. Robin has found the source of the Latium’s trouble,” Trent said, returning the nod before he walked closer to radar and analysis stations. He watched as Sergei added ghosted outlines of AEUG ships at the coordinates Robin had reported sighting their Salamis Kais. Whatever the unidentified ship was, it wasn’t an Irish-class. “It’s not the 4th Squadron…” Trent muttered aloud. He quickly shut his mouth and tried to not turn red when he realized how disappointed that had sounded.

He cleared his throat and continued where he had left off. “They’re out of our gunnery range. The Kirov can’t move while we’re connected to the Latium, and they’re only 75% done with the cargo transfer,” he said aloud as he mentally weighed their options. He folded his arms and shrugged slightly, “Send the coordinates to Stukov and Wolf if they didn’t hear Robin’s message. Beam launchers should help our MS teams make quick work of those ships once their Nemos are destroyed,”. Fyodor brightened up at the thought of unleashing those two men and their teams on helpless ships. “Yes sir!” he responded with the hint of a grin as he went about establishing contact with the team leaders.

- Alpha Team -

Stukov frowned at the intrusive voice in his ear when the Kirov contacted him. He was already frustrated at his failure to close in on Samuelson and finish him off, and now the magnified voice of a petty officer was being projected into his thoughts as he was reorganizing his team. “--kov, I’m sending the approximate coordinates to you now… Lt. Robin from the Buxoro has established visual contact with the AEUG’s ships. The information should be transmitting…” Fyodor reported as data began to stream onto the Russian pilot’s HUD. Stukov watched the Tanaka Maru team move closer to their ship and snarled, “I’m practically close enough to use my sidearm on their ships and you send me this? Speak to me when you can make yourself useful,”. He closed the connection to the Kirov and barked new orders to his team, “Grace! Continue the attack on their mobile suits! Alvarez! Open fire on their ships!”.

Affirmatives rang in his ears as he accelerated again to catch up with his target. “Yes…” he muttered at Samuelson, “Bunch up for us…” as he opened fire again. To his right Grace began shooting at the damaged Ellefson’s Nemo, and from somewhere behind him a beam launcher shot streamed across space towards the Sibuyan II’s midsection.

“W-watch it!” Samuelson yelped as Stukov renewed his assault on the Tanaka Maru’s mobile suits. A trio of beams missed his Nemo by mere meters as he shifted position to stay closer to the ship. “Let the ships put up some AA fire! We’ve taken heavy losses, so cover each other!” Ellefson’s voice crackled across the radio. His crippled Nemo adjusted it’s position and the team leader was reaching for a beam saber when Grace’s attack struck him full across the torso. Two beams burned into and through his Nemo just below the left chest vent, turning his suit into an expanding fireball. “Damn it!” Friedman yelled, partially in frustration, but mostly because that left him in command.

Ens. August

After missing the Nemo a second time Tyler cursed at Chandler’s fortune but changed his tune to a victory whoop when he saw Sven’s beams finish what he started. It gave way to horror however when he turned to see Sven in deadlock. He raised his rifle to target Beebe but couldn’t fire for fear of hitting his teammate because of the angle. But when the stalemate ended it was over far too fast to even get in even a single shot.
“Damn.” said Tyler appreciably noting the suburb skill of Beta and pulled his Hizack along side Sven.
“You okay?” he asked looking over the pitted and dented Marasai. It looked a lot worse than it really was. “Sorry I couldn’t give an assist earlier” he added, noting the suit’s mangled foot as well.
At that point the information from Lt. Robin who had broadcast on all friendly frequencies came in and highlighted the Sibuyan and Rockford, and he knew they would have to be sunk with what hardware they had now or they might escape.
The Marasai’s were impressive but he doubted that just 2 of them could take out a Sally, especially with the one banged up a bit.
He then contacted Wolf “This is Ens. Tyler August of the Buxoro. It looks like both our team’s are spread out. I’ll follow under your command to take out the Salamis’ until we can regroup. I got a few missiles and a 70% charge, so lead the way.”

Lt. Robin

Elijah had a grim note of satisfaction when Grace finally ran down his intended target. He stowed his beam saber to put his 120 back into the suit’s right hand and flew in Alpha’s wake while trying to regain some of the momentum he’d lost.
He caught sight of Stukov’s assault on Samuelson and to aid the mad Russian he aimed, braced, and unloaded on the poor fellow to keep him on his toes. “And hey, if I miss, I might hit the ship… for what little good it’ll do.” he thought to himself and wishing for the hundredth time that he had a beam rifle for this engagement.

Lieutenant Commander Myers was muttering curses in disbelief. They had lost all contact with their Nemo team, but Nemos from the other ships, nobody on the Sibuyan II whose Nemos they were, had started moving back, with Titan suits close behind them.

Nobody on the ship saw where the beam same from, or even what kind of beam it was. It wasn't a normal beam rifle beam, that much they knew. The beam hit just in front of the foward pair of double barrel secondary guns, the anti-MS battery, in their exposed, pod-like positions. The ship shuddered as both guns were wiped out, as were several decks below them.

Instantly, the bridge came alive as voices overlapped, some reporting what had happened, others issuing commands. "Foward anti-air guns destroyed!", "Hull breeched just aft of the hangar!", "Damage teams One through Six, get going!". The ship had another shudder, much smaller than the previous one, as it's small gravity block was instantly shut down.

Myers, sitting in his command chair, instantly grabbed it's phone. "All weapons, open fire on where those beams are coming from!", the command was practically yelled, but Myers wasn't aware of the tension and fear in his voice.

Nor were the remaining gunners. It took several seconds for the weapons to get pointed, but within 15 seconds of being ordered to do so, less than a minute after the beam hit, the first beams began to leave the Sibuyan II's weapons. The foward pair of single barrel main guns and the twin-barrel main guns were the only weapons that could open fire on the area they thought the beams came from. The other weapons rotated as best they could, but none of them opened fire. Those that did fire, however, did so inconsistantly, letting loose only a few shots at a time, hardly an effective anti-air barrage.

-Zander-

"This Ain't Over titan!" Screamed Zander at the top of his lungs as he ignited his beam saber and rushed M-Hover.

M-Hover smirked with arrogance as he took time to aim only to witness the poor nemo get torn to shreds by Drossel's beam fire. He used his lightning quick reflexes to fire another shot into the blaze.

"Chalk up another kill for the "Hovmeister!"" Bragged Picard as he tried to take credit.

-Bun. E-

"BAAAAAANZAIII!!" Shouted Carlos as his Nemo blasted erratically towards the Titan's ships

-Petersson-

"Carlos! We need to re--" FRom the distance Leandro had lined up a clear shot with his beam launcher the light belched forth from the massive weapon and eradicated Petersson and his Nemo instantly.

-Rockford-

"Captain....the nemo team it's..."

Bonmarche removed his hat and stroked his beard. "We were too careless, tell the gunnery crews to load their guns and switch them to Auto. Everyone make their way to the escape shuttles now."

It only took a few moments for the Bridge to be completly emptied. Only old Captain Bonmarche remained. This was his ship and he had been stationed on it for years. He wasn't going to leave her now.

The captain made his way to the main bridge and sat comfortably in his chair for the last time as he took in the last sights of the battle.

Jason grumbled and muttered a few obscenities under his breath when he heard Picard taking credit for the kill.

we'll let the flight recorder decide on that, dick.

Ignoring the lone Nemo making a suicide run toward the fleet, Jason focused on the coordinates being sent in automatically by Lt. Robin's on board comp. these guys came from somewhere

Looking at his HUD and noticing what units were nearby, Jason decides on the next step. Opening his comm to Ens. Miller and the rear Buxoro unit, Ens. Melton.

"Right. With their escorts down I say it's time for some payback. Attack run on following Salamis!" Jason punches in the coordinates for the Salamis Kai Rockford and gives one last instruction.

"Spread out. Hit 'em fast and watch the AA. The main target is their engines. Let's see if we can bag this fish for the team."

After a quick check on his status, Jason boots in the direction of the Rockford.

Rather then waste all of the energy from his beam rifle as his enemy retreated, Aaron chose to pursue him and engage when the moment was right. Sure enough, the fleeing Nemo retreated to its fleet. Fate, it would seem, had also returned him to his team and he was thankful for that.

"Sorry I'm late," he radioed to Elijah as he maneuvered near him, "got held up at the store, seems though the customer wasn't satisfied and ran off." Aaron was glad that they hadn't suffered any loses just yet, and was probably what caused him to crack a joke in the middle of a battle. "Anyway, I have to give this guy his receipt."

With that he moved in, taking care to avoid AA fire from the Rockford, and hoped he would finally put an end to the pesky Ens. Friedman and his Nemo. Taking aim he fired three more blasts from his beam rifle.

“Sir, the crew has completed the cargo transfer and the Latium is retracting its docking equipment,” Fyodor reported, gesturing out the bridge windows to Trent’s right. Sure enough, the green Alexandria-class was already beginning to creep away from the Kirov’s starboard side and its trio of Hizacks changed their flight pattern to bring them in closer to their mothership. Trent watched them prepare to leave with a cold feeling in the pit of his stomach. “Good riddance,” he muttered, glaring at the Latium - it and those cargo containers gave him the same feeling the massacre of 18th Bunch had. Whatever was in them, he knew it would likely bring suffering to more people somewhere in the colonies. After all, they were signed over to his care by Bask Om, and he didn’t waste his time having basic supplies shipped around the earthsphere. Especially not supplies shipped in canisters marked “hazardous”.

A happy outburst from the observers brought his attention back to the battle his MS teams were involved in. “Captain, there was an explosion large enough for our cameras to register. It’s likely from one of their ships if those coordinates were accurate,” Mortimer explained, replaying the recording on one of the smaller screens. Trent folded his arms and frowned slightly. Capt. Kay was recalling his Hizacks already, leaving Echo’s mobile suits engaged with the AEUG to cover his withdrawal. It was the obvious tactical choice in their situation, and yet it still irritated Trent. If he never saw the Latium again, it would be too soon.

- Alpha Team -

Stukov had pressured Samuelson into moving closer to his own ship to force him into a mistake, and it paid off when Lt. Robin from the Buxoro opened fire on the Nemo with his 120mm. He scoffed at his opponent’s incompetence when Samuelson put his suit into a lazy turn to face Robin. “You fool,” he admonished, igniting a beam saber and accelerating to close the gap between them, “Take the time to reflect on your mistakes in hell,”. The Nemo tried to turn back too late, and was cleaved in half at the waist as Stukov roared past. He turned the saber swing into a turn to stay on the move and out of the Tanaka Maru’s AA fire and moved back closer to Robin. “Ha ha ha ha. You stay close to us, Hizack, and we’ll kill more of them, yes? That dumpy looking ship of theirs has no pests left to keep us away,” he rumbled at the Buxoro CO. His laugh was joyless, and yet there was a wicked desire in his voice. He could tell this battle was nearing its conclusion.

Leandro scoffed at the horrible counter-fire the Sibuyan II threw at him and easily weaved through the widely spaced and poorly aimed shots. “That’s really annoying,” he complained to no one as he twisted his MS into an awkward position to keep his beam launcher protected. “Somebody shut that thing up,” he said, asking his teammates to finish the job he started.

- Beta Team -

“This is Ens. Tyler August of the Buxoro. It looks like both our team’s are spread out. I’ll follow under your command to take out the Salamis’ until we can regroup. I got a few missiles and a 70% charge, so lead the way.”

Wolf glanced at his beam launcher’s charge indicator and frowned. He saw the AA barrage coming from the Rockford seemed to stutter and pause for a second, and then the firing became reactionary and inaccurate. Launches were starting to fly out of the rebel Salamis Kai. Wolf’s brow knitted. “Have we even damaged that one yet?”… “Ens. August, I’m going to move in first and draw their fire. You and Haksson come in behind me - put those missiles to some use,” he ordered, making his mind up. Sven’s affirmative came immediately and the two Marasais changed course to buzz the Rockford. Wolf poured on speed and moved ahead of Sven, who raised his rifle at the ready.

“Don’t make me do this twice,” Wolf said in irritation as he swooped in ahead of the other two suits and drew the Rockford’s AA fire. As he bobbed around a stream of fire, he tapped his vulcans and took out one of the escaping launches. “Those launches are secondary targets. We can swing back around for them when the ship is neutralized.”

- Friedman Team -

All Ens. Friedman could do was yell in frustration as he watched the rest of the fleet’s ragtag group of Nemos fall to the oncoming Titans. “Samuelson! Get over here and help me counterattack this pair of Marasais!” he barked, twisting in his seat to find his wingman. Near the Tanaka Maru, Samuelson was drenched with sweat as he tried to figure out how he was going to get Stukov to break off his attack. “What? I need assistance over here! This crazy bastard won’t…” he stammered, stopping at alarms and the sound of 120mm rounds striking his rear armor, “Damn it!”. He clumsily tried to shift his Nemo’s position to block the machinegun fire with his shield, and when he turned his head to see where the Marasai was, all he could see was the yellow glow of Stukov’s beam saber.

“What?! They’re already on that side of the ship?” Friedman gulped, reacting to Samuelson’s call for help without seeing his demise. “It’s no use… What are we supposed to do out here?” he yelled, charging at Aaron Faraday just as the Titan opened fire. “We just want to be left alone!” he growled, struggling to aim his rifle at Faraday’s Hizack as the first beam tore into his suit. The Nemo’s weapon was hit by the second as it speared through the mobile suit’s forearms, and it blew up a split second before Friedman was incinerated as his suit exploded around him.

“S-sir! We’ve lost contact with the entire Nemo team!”

“Captain, the Sibuyan II has taken damage, and there are launches coming from the Rockford!”

Capt. Mustaine sank into his chair. “Get us out of here! Now!” he panicked, leaning forward at the helmsman. “Sir, we shouldn’t move out of position without relaying orders to the other ships,” his XO nervously suggested. The crew on the bridge began to turn to him for orders, and he didn’t know what to say. The captain’s knuckles turned white as his grip tightened on his chair’s armrests. “I said now!” he hissed. The Tanaka Maru wobbled at the rear of the formation and then began to slowly turn around as the other ships continued to bear the brunt of the Titans attack.

- Ens. August with Beta -

“Ens. August, I’m going to move in first and draw their fire. You and Haksson come in behind me - put those missiles to some use. Don’t make me do this twice,”
“Roger” replied Tyler with a grin at the man’s morbid humor and took off after the Marasai’s.
He followed Wolf’s approach vector and mindlessly unloaded his beam rifle along the length of the Rockford from bow to stern with Sven as he followed at high speed. Following orders to put the missiles to good use, he got his computer to finally achieve a solid lock on the bridge as he flew and when he came directly over the ship he unleashed the three missiles he had left. Immediately pealing "up" after the run and ducking some AA fire that wasn’t after Wolf, the Ensign spun and fired a trio of beams down on where the he expected the missiles to hit, just to be sure.
It was better to play it safe in these cases, lest the missiles didn’t sink the rebel ship, and if they didn't then hoping to bypass some of the Rockford’s armor after being (one would hope at least partially) shredded by them.

- Buxoro Team -

Elijah couldn’t help but smile at his subordinate’s joke especially with the punchline being the destruction of Friedman’s Nemo.
“You should’ve worked in retail,” he joked back “I’m sure it pays better than this.”
What passed as praise from Stukov came over the radio next.
“Ha ha ha ha. You stay close to us, Hizack, and we’ll kill more of them, yes? That dumpy looking ship of theirs has no pests left to keep us away,”
The hunter’s laugh was like ice water to Robin’s good mood but he liked to keep numbers and that level of skill nearby.
“Sure thing, we got you covered.” He replied back though less cheerful, then switched back to team com.
“Come on Aaron we’ve got Alpha’s back now.”

-Ltjg. Jason Drossel-
-Gamma Team Marasai-

Jason's Marasai pulled out a beam saber as he came near the Rockford's vicinity and ignited it skewering an escape shuttle that happened to be at the spot where he stopped. Jason nonchalantly switches off the saber and looks over at another team already assaulting the Rockford.

"Gee. Guess we're late to the party."

Opening a direct comm to Ens. Miller and Melton, Jason relays coordinates for the Sibuyan II. "On to the next!"

The Marasai picks up speed once again firing two more parting shots at a group of launches before leaving the area.

Bonmarche gripped his chair intently it had been some time since he had witnessed his life flash before his eyes. He couldn't but regret ever getting involved with the AEUG as his body was engulfed in flame and his ship started to tear itself in two from all the damage.

The Rockford's bridge was leveled and the series of hits it had taken front on cause the ship to tear in two then quickly exploding, the few escape shuttles that had gotten by were swallowed up by the blaze. Capt. Bonmarche would not die alone.

-Ensign Bun. E. Carlos-

Behind him was death sorrow as his comrades were killed by the ruthless titans. But they had ignored him, and that would be their ultimate downfall. Employing his super secret newtype hax Carlos rushed the titan ships swerving through their gunfire like it was nothing. He dodged a series of shots and made a dramatic pose firing right through the bridge of every goddamn stinking titan ship. He laughed in complete madness as he watched all the important characters die horrible and shameful deaths.

It was the ultimate in ironic irony/ Bun. E Carlos the AEUG NPC named after the drummer from the rock N roll band Cheaptrick had just destroyed every single titan ship, on his own in his dreams. Reality was much sadder, Carlos was actually eliminated by AA fire from multiple sides as he made his attack run.

Stukov barely waited for Robin’s confirmation before he accelerated off again with Grace trailing closely behind. Leandro’s request for assistance put the ghost of a smirk on his face and he quickly changed his plans. “Kelborn, fire on this strange ship as we pass. We’re heading for that damaged Salamis to quiet Alvarez’ pleas for help,” he ordered, raising his beam rifle as he swerved around the first streams of AA fire aimed his way. “Leandro, if you can hear me, put another shot into that ship,” Stukov requested as he adjusted his angle of approach on the Tanaka Maru to let him fly past directly towards the Sibuyan II.

Leandro clucked at the ‘pleas for help’ crack and slowed his mobile suit long enough to target the Sibuyan II with his beam launcher. “ ‘Please, Leandro, save us with your beam launcher!’ sounds more like a plea for help to me,” he retorted as he fired at the damaged ship again, this time targeting the rear near the engines.

A flurry of beam rifle shots raked the Tanaka Maru as Stukov and Grace passed, leaving the AEUG ship in a bad list as small explosions rolled across its surface. Stukov ignored Leandro’s comment and contacted the Buxoro Hizacks following them and rumbled, “Finish this ship off. We are going to attack the other remaining Salamis Kai,”. He chuckled to himself as he saw the beam launcher shot spear in towards the Sibuyan II’s stern. “We’ll pass them to the right to avoid Leandro’s clumsy aim,” he said, gesturing his orders to Grace as they closed in. The Marasais sped through the AA cloud surrounding the AEUG ship, and let loose with another rapid round of beam fire aimed at the ship’s port side in general.

After the rough manner in which Sven and Tyler worked over the Rockford, it would have taken a miracle to keep the rebel ship together. Wolf and Sven slowed and circled back around to survey the damage as the debris cloud began to expand. “Heh… we certainly took care of that one. Chalk up another one for Beta,” Picard Kamek’s voice slithered into Wolf’s ear. He hadn’t noticed his other subordinate’s Marasai join into their loose formation after he strafed the Rockford. Wolf scowled at the very sound of Kamek’s voice. “What do you mean ‘we’?” he growled. Picard gave a weak half-answer and trailed off in the middle of explaining himself. Ritter scoffed at Picard’s mumbled ‘answer’ to the rhetorical question and made a mental note to verbally assault Kamek when they returned to the Kirov. “Regardless,” Wolf hissed, deciding to just ignore Picard for now, “Nice work, Sven. You too, Ens. August,”.

Trent was monitoring the last part of the battle when the Latium hailed his ship again unexpectedly. Capt. Kay’s frowning face reappeared on the main screen of the bridge, and Trent managed to keep his expression blank. He could already tell he would not like what he was about to hear. “Capt. Trent, I just opened the sealed part of my orders,” Kay said, holding up an envelope and a few papers, “It spells out clearly that if we are unable to continue to our, uh, target area on our own, Taskforce Echo is to escort Taskforce Juliet to a suitable location for repairs,”. “Target area?” Trent scoffed mentally. His hunch about Bask’s intentions seemed to be on the mark. His eyes narrowed as his vision dropped down from the screen to the view of the still dying 18th Bunch.

“I suppose we don’t have a choice,” Trent responded unenthusiastically. Kay ignored Trent’s tone and looked down at the papers for a moment. “The first location listed is Ayers City, captain. I was also instructed to establish contact with them ahead of time,” he continued. Going back to Ayers City wasn’t a thrilling prospect, but there were many worse places Echo could be sent on an errand. “Sir, someone is trying to establish long-range communications with us,” Fyodor interjected. “That’ll be Ayers,” Capt. Kay explained. Trent turned to Fyodor and nodded, and the picture on the main screen was split down the middle to include the new contact.

Black Friday’s image filled the empty panel. “Capt. Trent! Good day to you,” he said, his voice still as slick and unctuous as it was the first time they met. Trent was somehow not surprised Black was the contact waiting on Taskforce Juliet’s call, and yet something about it didn’t fit. Capt. Kay leaned towards his camera and insisted, “We should leave the Side as quickly as possible. Capt. Friday, I assume Ayers City will be prepared to receive us by the time we arrive?”. Annoyance flashed across Friday’s face. “Quiet, Leo. I’m speaking to Capt. Trent,” he said as if he were reprimanding a child. Kay sank back into his seat in a huff and crossed his arms.

“Andrewson, I do hope you’ll join me for another chat when you arrive in Ayers City. We have much to discuss,” Friday said, smiling like a used car salesman. Trent’s head buzzed, almost like he had a headache coming on. As if watching an innocent colony be destroyed - partially because of Echo’s own actions - wasn’t enough, now he had to deal with the stress of babysitting the Latium and talking to Black Friday. It was no wonder he was developing a migraine.

“Finish this ship off. We are going to attack the other remaining Salamis Kai,” Elijah acknowledged Stukov and drew closer to the doomed ship, dodging the weak AA fire from the crippled vessel which he saw was clearly not intentionally designed for combat.
"We got this Aaron," he said and strafed the Maru, walking his rifle from starboard to port, trying to take out the raised bridge and the AA emplacements flanking it at the the stern of the ship before expending all his ammo and added a bazooka to the mental list of things he wanted instead of his 120.

- Ens. August with Beta -

“Nice work, Sven. You too, Ens. August,”
"Thank you Sir" Tyler replied to the compliment. "Well, It looks like your unit has regrouped, so I should try and regroup with mine."
"It's a pleasure working with you Sir" He saluted Wolf on the grainy display before turning the suit towards the highlighted units of his team and blasting off towards them and the lightshow in the vicinity of Tanaka Maru
