Victious Sterling

Victious watched silently as Garmin made the first moves, Flattery as an introduction. He would let Zann answer before getting on to business. As it was he floated with the ease of a man who's whole life had been spent in deep space.

- Tyber Zann -

Bowing at the general's rather heavy-handed flattery, Zann replied in a tone perfectly suited to the company he was in.

"Lord Sterling, General Aelfhere, of course the pleasure is all mine. I am sorry about meeting you off surface, but their has beeen unsettled movement on the Moon as of late. Their seems to be an indepent faction raiding and destroying Federation outpsots and we have intelligence to suggest the Federation is planning an operation of some kind and we judged it better not to risk both your personages at such a time. My men and I will personally escort you safely to our main complex on the surface."

At the last, the pilots on board the Renegade all snapped to attention and saluted in perfect harmony. Tyber Zann was not one to stand on ceremony, but he did understand it's importance to others and impressed this on all under his command.

Victious Sterling

Victious did not need to spend the extra time if his group hoped to reach it's other destinations But he was glad to see on, the surface at least, that Zann was an obliging man.

"that will not be Necessary; the point of our visit can be addressed here and now. At Ease."

these last words were orders to Zann's men even if the conversation was brief Victious didn't wish to leave the men standing at full attention.

"The main point of our visit to learn how your occupation of the moon is proceeding. In addition I'd like to hear how you plan to deal with both this independent faction and the Federation operation you spoke of."

The General stood slightly taller than Zann himself but would have likely struck an imposing figure nonetheless as he stood at parade rest with his hands in the small of his back.

((Holy crap, Gai, I hadn't thought that far yet.))

- Tyber Zann -

"My Lord, I believe patience to be a virtue in this particular case. The Federation will inevitably wipe out this rogue faction and whatever forces they have committed to this undertaking should be easy pickings for my own forces. In the unlikely event that the rebels do emerge victorious, they too shall be easily erased, leaving the Moon entirely in our hands."

Zann was well aware that this strategy was not entirely in keeping with the Fandom's usually aggressive doctrine, but sincerely believed that this course of action would ultimately put him, and the Fandom, ahead.

((I ask the tough questions))
Victious Sterling

For a Strategic genius Victious found Zann's Strategy less than impressive though It was sound enough. Victious decided to add his own suggestion.

"Make sure this battle between the Federation and Rebels is a long and hard one then when a victor is determined swoop in and Take the whole of the moon at once. If there is no other business Then we shall be on our way."

He was suggesting that Zann act quietly to support the weaker side making sure that both groups were pushed to the limits till the very end.

Garmin nodded quietly and half turned before adding.

"Do not fail us, Tyber." Garmin said with a sudden billy idol style snarl. "The Moon is a very important position. If we weren't competent in your abilities we would have removed you from your position. See fit that when we remove you from this position it's a promotion."

Garmin turned around his robe flowing swiftly as he floated up the ramp and disappeared in his shuttle.

Victious Sterling

His compatriot's closing remarks were more than sufficient to signal their departure as Victious followed him back into the shuttle. It took little time for them to depart the ship once they were buckled in.

"Perhaps we should keep a close eye on him; He may not be as competent as his records suggest."

((Blah, it's hard to pretend to be a tactical genius when your actually not.
So it's a good thing that I control 2/3rd of the coming battle, yes? ))

-Tyber Zann-

Zann was less than impressed at Sterling's insinuation. Aelfhere's parting words merely made that worse. He had been holding on to the far side for the better part of a year, and the only reason he had not moved was because the Federation had concentrated its forces so heavily in the space it had left.

As the two men left, all personnel in the hanger, including Zann, saluted sharply. As soon as it was appropriate, to the very second, Tyber Zann turned back and stalked back toward the bridge, his good mood ruined.
