I might just not have been paying attention, but I don't think Moondoggie from Eureka Seven got mentioned as a "Soul Bro's man candidate". The guy actually got jealous of Renton because Renton coming on board meant he wasn't the target for the others' teasing any more.

Okay, okay, I think that's enough of the Pedobear jabs for one topic. We've all got our quirky tastes, and constantly poking others' won't make 'em go away. Besides, it's pedobear; bears don't like being poked.hawk of endymion wrote:The fact that you are admitted pedobear diminishes any of Soul Bro's tirades of his "boys"
On topic, I don't know how we all forgot to include this on the list, even though it's been mentioned before: Harry Champ, the man destined to be king! Better watch out, Saji, this guy can do more than just deliver in a pilot seat.

After recording, I realized there a lot of characters left out.
Here's a challenge to everyone out there, let's see if we could another 10-15 characters with the qualities of SBR's men(not mentioned before). I see us touching upon this topic again in the future, especially after the end of 00.

Soul Bro Ryu and His Merry Men?...hawk of endymion wrote:Here's a challenge to everyone out there, let's see if we could another 10-15 characters with the qualities of SBR's men(not mentioned before). I see us touching upon this topic again in the future, especially after the end of 00.
Another fine podcast guys!
As of episode 25 I'm liking these new and improved *cough*-views you've been doing.
Those minute descriptions of events for each episode were the least interesting to listen to.
Though instead of leaving out synopses entirely, very brief 2 or 3 sentence long rundowns could be given, describing the major events in each (couple of) episodes that are going to be discussed.
It's a little bit more listenerfriendly than jumping straight in imho.
Other than that, keep doing what your doing.
I haven't seen Wing or EW in it's entirety myself, but you gave me a good impression nonetheless.
And that's already 2 Neo's News segments free of Soul bro's premature interjections!
Any further commentaries on the (fringes) of all that's mecha-anime related are greatly appreciated by yours truly!

Thanks TV my sick and twisted imagination has just brought up an image of Soul Bro and his merry men dressed up and performing "Men in Tights" from Robin Hood Men in Tights.T.V. wrote:Soul Bro Ryu and His Merry Men?...

There's always new anime and ones you never seen. Not like we're going to do this next week.Areku wrote:I fold, every pertinent anime I've seen has already been mentioned. Perhaps, but I only have a few anime on my plate right now, and I'll be lucky to finish all of them before I disappear for about 10 weeks... and I don't even know how long it'll be before I have a chance to catch up on what I miss of 00. I'm not sure what timeline this "Return of Soul Bro's Men" segment will be operating on, but it'll probably air well before I'm assimilated back into anime.hawk of endymion wrote:There's always new anime and ones you never seen. I'll find a way to make time for Gundamn!, though.

Thanks guys for taking up my suggestion on SBR's men. I was cheering when I heard my name on the podcast. After hearing him call Rivalz and Saji his man in their respective series, I was wondering who else he wanted to call his man. Big Props to the Gundamn! crew on that segment.
Endless Waltz also introduced me to a concept I kinda saw recurring in several Animes at that time: The No Kill Vow (aka NKV). After Endless Waltz, I saw it in Kenshin, later in Trigun, and of course infamously with Kira in SEED and Destiny.
Happy Birthday to ya SBR

Might as well make a new post since thehod sneaked his post in while I was editing. (Congrats on you suggestion, by the way)
...Aw crap. As bad fortune will have it, the hitherto unscheduled listener call-in will be some time in mid-February thru April, won't it? *kicks Murphy in the shin*
Well, if I miss the upcoming one, I'll make it to the third call-in.
And since I kept forgetting to say it, happy birthday, Soul Bro Ryu! *Presents Soul Bro with a gourmet birthday pizza and a birthday candle depicting Saji in red-and-silver medieval armor, wielding Excalibur high above his head with one hand while defiantly clutching his ring-necklace with the other.*
And before I catch flak for that, consider that Sajihadists get their dream candle and everyone else gets to watch it burn.

Any anime show regardless of genre? Or should we concentrate on Mecha since this is Gundamn!?hawk of endymion wrote:Here's a challenge to everyone out there, let's see if we could another 10-15 characters with the qualities of SBR's men(not mentioned before). Great show, I can't believe you're up to episode 26 already, and still going strong.

mostly mecha, but if you have time to do a seperate non mecha list, that's cool too.CanadaMan wrote:Any anime show regardless of genre? Just going off the current subject of dialog but just had thought (dangerous I know) about how Soul Bro hasn't been spoiling the news lately well if he hasn't spoiled episodes 27's news but say he does on episode 28 if 1 of my news suggestions have been used, then there must be a connection.

I hate to be crude, but I kind of laughed when Soul Bro Ryu said that "Kai became a porn star and everyone had a happy ending." Xp
