The rounds fired did indeed destroy the cargo craft quite nicely, which was a good thing as it had a mostly intact VF-11 on board already that was pulled out of the ship before the Salvation arrived.

The lead Endra took a hit from one of the beam cannons of the Salvation in the middle of her forward hull. While this and the missile that also hit nearby, did serious damage, it wasn't totally out of the fight and managed to return fire with one of the turrets back at the frigate.
The other two ships also were responding, firing their own main gun turrets at the Salvation.

The Wolf Pack's attack tactic might have worked against the rest of the pirates, but Gon Jem's lieutenants were well trained and followed the fighters well, opening fire with their railguns and also split to follow the fighter pairs with Gol's Stark Gwei and Zin's Stark Dauzen chasing one pair and Min's Start Deins and Ganan's Stark Gan-Dolla going after the others

Zin also launched several projectiles into space which turned into copies of his own craft. Unlike a hologram, these projections were quite solid and only the sensors on the Messiah had any chance of telling which one was the real machine.

-Hellbore-

Being patched into the comms, Hellbore also heard the order to the Cosmolion pilots to scramble. As a matter of course he began to bring the reactor of his mobile suit online and boot up the operating system. As the lines of text scrolled down the screen in front of him, Hellbore strapped himself into his seat. Unsure as to where this left him he sent his own message to the bridge.

"Bridge, the is Hellbore. Requesting permission to sortie against the enemy."

-Pericles-

"This is ReZEL Team Three, launching."

The three ReZELs launched almost simultaneously from the three forward catapults of the Pericles in MA mode. One was armed with a beam cannon instead of the normal rifle. Banking around they approached the coordinates locating by the bridge crew moments before.

A few minutes later, the team leader spotted something and moved over toward it. "Approaching target now," he relayed back to the Pericles. Upon closer further it revealed the target to the torso of an mobile weapon of some kind. Orange in colour and of anomalous design, their sensors detect that power was still on in the ruined suit.

After receiving the findings back on the ship, Krager made a decision. "Alright, bring it in. We'll open it here." Shifting in his chair, the captains understandable nervousness apparent to the bridge crew.

Getting the order the team leader transformed to MS mode and grabbed the torso. Pulling it close, he grabbed onto one of his team-mates and they towed him back to the Pericles.

-Wolf Pack-

While their boss was cleaning up stragglers attempting to carry stuff off the other four units were doing there best to deal with these custom Metal Armors themselves. But while the enemy probably thought it was smart by trying to deceive their sensors it was sorely mistaken. The last unit in the Wolfpack was loaded with an Electronic Warfare FAST pack which allowed him to play counter games with the enemy ECM unit.

Quickly he fell back in the ground and let the chasing enemy overshoot him while he scanned the area. Then using the new beam carbine gunpods all four units were equip with he started to blaze through the fakes in order to give his teammates a hand in locating and destroying the enemy units.

The other three decided they wouldn't run and attacked the enemy directly. The overtuned VF-11s were easily able to use their agility to weave in and out of railcannon fire and return with their own beam-gunpods. They were all in battleroid mode and were holding their own as their leader cleaned up the escapees.

-Salvation-

Typically a ship would be stupid to pick a fight when it was three on one but the Northhampton class stealth frigate was far faster and agile than these aging ships put up against them. The first set of fire from the crippled ship crossed over the deck barely missing one of the Cheyenne standing there.

"Have Omega Wolf target the crippled enemy ship while the cheyenne's target another ship with us. I approve all weapons for fire."

With that the Konig Monster loaded four AP high-explosive rounds into its Vigger 40cm guns and targeted the crippled enemy ship. Without mercy he pulled the trigger and unleashed four supersonic munitions aimed at the deck of the ship to destroy it like an oversized artillery piece.

The three Cheyenne's opened their missile bays up and targeted the next enemy ship in line. Their targeting systems were aimed at the enemy beam cannons and in a three volleys AP missiles were shot out followed by unit's twin beam cannons.

The Salvation charged into battle guns ablazing aiming at taking out the third enemy ship while the Cheyenne's attempted to cripple the other. "FIRE and evade!" The duel high powered converging energy cannons raced across space at the enemy ship while long-range torpedo like missiles were unloaded as well. The nimble frigate then weaved through the gunfire they enemy ships were putting up. Some shots burned through the armor slightly while others were either dodged or blocked with the ship based PPB.

-Kyle-

One poor fool was downed in the first sweep. The VF-25S had overtaken the runners and had scattered them while they tried to return to their embattled ships. "Poor little fools run." Kyle laughed as he began to shoot down whoever he could in the back while getting closer to the enemy ships. He had to take them all down before they got home or he could have to destroy the enemy ships. And he didn't want to tangle with them unless he absolutely had too.

Zin was quite surprised when his own ECMs were being shot out of the stars and even more so when a beam shot lanced through his own metal armor, killing him when it exploded.

The others were also falling fast to the attacks of Kylern, but it would take him a while to defeat them all.

The Endras however were in worse shape. The last salvo from the Konig Monster spelled the end for it when they exploded inside the hull, ripping the ship apart.

- Macht -

"Launch approved, Hellbore. Cover the lower sector of the battlefield." came the voice of the bridge operator on duty.

Along with the Freedom, several groups of Cosmolion Kais would also launch to take out any remaining stragglers.

-Hellbore-

"Roger that, bridge. Hellbore, Freedom, going out."

Moving his mobile suit to the Macht's launch catapult, Hellbore brought the thrusters alive and as he was flung out into space snapped open the wing units and pushed the thrusters to full, taking toward the battlefield amidst the wreckage.

Mere minutes later, he had arrived within range. Noting the heavy metal armour (Stark Dolla), he locked on and fired his three beam cannons. As satisfying as the heavy fire-power was, he kinda missed his DRAGOONs, he realised.

-Pericles-

After the ReZEL team had retrieved the unidentified object, Krager left the bridge and went to the hanger to inspect it himself. If it was some sort of Fandom trap, he felt he should be there to confront it himself. The loss of three ReZELs and their pilots still weighed heavily on him.

As he reached the hanger the mechanics popped the cockpit on the remains of the oddly designed suit. One of them poked his head in and quickly retracted it. Looking over and seeing the captain, he called over, "Uh, sir, you may want to see this."

Quickly walking over, Krager stuck his own head in the gap they had forced the hatch open. What he saw was not what he expected. A man in a standard Federation pilot suit. Pulling his head out he called out, "We need a medical team here now!"

Hellbore may have saved the Salvation from a suicide run on her as just as Ganan was boosting up for his run, a beam from one of the cannons of the Freedom hit his engine block, causing it to explode along with the rest of his machine soon after.

The second Endra was also taking precise fire as most of her gun turrets were taken out by the Cheyenne II units on the Salvation.

The third however wasn't so lucky as the Salvation scored several direct hits with both missiles and their beam cannons. The full barrage ultimately sinking the green warship.

Min in somewhat of a rage now that three of the ships and over half of the metal armor force was now gone, charged Kyle's VF-25 with railgun blazing as she closed in.

Gol was also making a similar charge at the newly arrived Freedom, firing with both barrels of different ammo types at the Gundam.

-Salvation-

The ship and its mobile artillery units devestated the enemy fleet with suffering a few stray shots itself. The emergency repair crew had already moved on the situation and secured the damaged blocks without any trouble.

The final barrage spelled the end of the Fandom pirates even while one unit barreled down on them threatening to kamakazi them. But luckily the Freedom saved their tails with its full burst attack. The Captain sent a message of thanks. "Thanks buddy, I would hate for my ship to gain a new airhole."

-Kyle-

He had cleaned up the retreaters along with the Cosmolion squad when someone barreled down on him with railcannon fire. The AVF easily weaved out of the fire as his missile bays opened up. "Bye bye..." With that a barrage of 50 AHMMMs bloomed out and then collapsed onto the Metal Armor ready to chase him to the ends of the galaxy if they had to. Odds are that was the last of that nuciance.

-Hellbore-

"No sweat, Captain. Just doin' what I can to help."

His satisfaction at the destruction of the Stark Dolla was quickly forgotten at the Stark Gwei's charge. Folding away the Baleana cannons, Hellbore rolled the Freedom away from the railgun fire, the few hits absorbed by the Phase Shift Armour.

Recovering, he fired three shots from the right beam rifle then three shots from the left, keeping the pressure on the squat orange suit.

-Pericles-

Striding into the sick bay, Maj. Krager stood by the bed of the man they had recovered from the wrecked mobile suit. He turned as the ship's chief medical officer came up beside him.

"Well, Doc. What've we got."

"Well, nothing seems to be wrong with him physically, it just seems his in shock from whatever it was that left him drifting like that, " the doctor Peased before continuing. "I did the DNA test as you requested. It the strangest thing, but hes registered as a lieutenant in the Earth Federation Forces under thet name Ayin Tollah. Seems he went missing months ago."

"Huh. Now isn't that interesting." Krager turned his head and looked over the sleeping mystery soldier.

Lt. Fourteen sat upright with robotic rigidness inside an administration office nestled deep in a fandom R&D colony. He ignored the temptation of the cigarette that was offered to him by a passing officer and sat there filling out numerous forms.

It was difficult to bring a life into this world, but as Wedge Fourteen was finding out, it was even harder to bring a dead man back to this world. Wedge had gone M.I.A. three weeks ago. His ship torn to shreds by a mysterious attacker.

He barely managed to survive, and the fact that the Fandom legislation was giving him such a hard time about somehow surviving against all odds really irked him alot.

So what he was the only survivor? So what that with the given amount of oxygen held in a GN-X he should've died after XX hours. Weren't they happy to see that one of their loyal soldiers had returned to them?

Well regardless Lt. Fourteen refused to take the two week leave they recommended. Thats why he found himself here, smack dab in the middle of the administration office with a stack of paper work that could crush a man's spine.

He grumbled annoyedly as he signed his name over and over again, almost tempted to write another name like Irving Washington, but he didn't.

Try as best as she may, there simply were too many missiles for Min to shoot down or dodge, and as one small hit lead to another, and another, and several more, her custom metal armor was overwhelmed and another soul was claimed by the cold darkness of space.

Gol meanwhile had little time to dodge as well as one of the shots took off his left arm. This however didn't stop him from charging forward in a blind rage over his teammates being killed.

((Feel free to call a hit and end it, Hellbore.))

The last Endra was trying to escape out of the area as fighting would only get them killed, however they were unable to do so when a group of the Cosmolion Kais stopped them dead in space as they took out the ship's engines with their beam guns.

Lily had ordered them to disable the ship rather than outright destroy it as she wanted to know just how much the pirates knew about what they were salvaging and where they got the info about the wreck.

The enemy was blown to hell but it didn't bring any real satisfaction to him. These guys were weak and those units were useless against the Wolves... In the end the only one in the group to take real damage was the Salvation but even that was limited. He scanned the area again and found nothing more of interest. The Cosmolions were apprehending the last enemy ship and all that was left of the enemy defense force was one straggler who actually thought they could take a 1st class Gundam like the Freedom on. Kyle gave the poor fool 3 seconds because it was wiped out along with all its little friends.

"This is Alpha Wolf. All units return to the Salvation. Operation was a success, good job by the way." The VF-25 turned around and headed back home while the rest of them started to move out as well. This little event was done and now it was up to DC to get what it wanted and send them on their way.

-Hellbore-

The Gwei's headlong charge was halted as the machine was disintegrated by Hellbore's multi-phase beam cannon. As the remains of the Gwei dispersed into the blackness, Hellbore sent a message to the Macht.

"Bridge, this is Hellbore. I think we're finished. Enemy destroyed. Any further orders?"

-Ayin-

The silence went away first, replaced by an incessant droning that roused him to wakefulness. Opening his eyes was an effort, one that was almost beyond him. Finally opening his eyes, the blackness was replaced by shades of grey. Blinking rapidly, he felt, rather than saw, the presence of others around him. Laying back, he continued to try and regain his senses.

-Krager-

Striding into the C.M.O.'s office, Krager wasted no time in firing off his question. "So, he's soldiers regained consciousness. What did he have to say?"

The doctor answered without looking up from the paper work strewn over his desk. "That's just it. He claims to have no memory from before waking up here, save his name; Ayin Tollah."

"Well, at least that matched with what we already know." Krager turned and looked through the clear wall separating the office from the main ward. "Keep him in here until we reach Luna. I'll let HQ deal with it."

"Aye, captain," came the absent-minded response, as the doctor had been drawn back into his work.

The man who returned from space without a unit, sat alone in the corner of the officer's club. He was a slim young man, probably in his mid 20s, with sandy brown hair and contrastingly bright blue eyes. At certain angles it seemed like they faintly glowed.

He didn't mind none of the other officers would sit with him, or even make eye contact with him. And most importantly the rest of them were glad he wasn't sticking his nose into their business and just staying quiet.

Lt. Fourteen was anxious, he had a medical exam scheduled in a few days. If he was cleared, he would be put back into active duty. As much as Wedge loved being leered at by his peers in the officer's club he just wanted to get back to work.

He hoped it didn't take too long, deep down he knew he couldn't take this resentment. He'd need to prove himself before he'd get respect.

"Congradulations on a successful mission, team. You all did your part and because of it we proved to be the most productive ship in the unit. We scored two ship kills and countless mecha victories, including the destruction of several custom Metal Armors used by elite members of the Fandom Dragoon team. We are the only unit deserving of the use of Dragoon in our names and we made the message clear." The bridge crew applauded their own success. The Captain made them all remember why they remained aboard this ship and how valuable they all truely were.

"Now lets let the main DC taskforce handle the rest and we will fall back into formation. I give the crew permission to relax for awhile since you all deserve it." The bridge crew gave another round of applause as someone made a comment about alcohol. Of course this was no allowed because they were a strict crew and narcatics were not allowed on ship.

-Kylern-

He finished his business such as de-briefing and headed off on his own. He was tired and figured another nights worth of sleep would free him of whatever demons roosted in his soul. Of course this came with sleeping meds he had used before under infirmary orders. Now he was using them just to knock himself out. Seemed like the beginning of an addiction if he wasn't careful.

- Raven Sterling, Fandom mobile weapons development mobile colony -

It had been a long day, one that tried her patience to the limits. The two remaining Trinity pilots were good enough, but getting them to work together with her was not easy. It would take time, but she was confidant that she could make them into effective bodyguards for her on the battlefield.

However, Raven's day was not over and waiting on her desk was the report on how the battle at the Federation's Taipei base had gone.

Expecting to read that the base was eliminated, she was naturally disappointed when she found it was not, and became increasingly disturbed when she found out why.
The ship and its mobile suits that used GN drives that first showed up at Wake Island was also at the Federation base.
The worrisome idea wormed its way into Raven's head as she was coming to the conclusion that somehow the Federation had its own version of GN technology and had put it into a combat unit against the Fandom.

While this wasn't exactly the truth, it still served to undermine the Fandom's efforts militarily as a whole.
Even after the Federation had developed its own mobile suits thanks to the portal system and the Gundams that they brought through it, the Fandom still had an edge with being the only power to have GN drive technology in its possession and field it on a wide scale.
Now it seemed that edge had been lost somehow.

We'll need to speed up development of GN mobile suits as much as we can. Even if the Federation has GN drives, this is the only force we've seen use them. If we can outproduce them and ware down what units they do have, we can still maintain our advantage.

Thus, Raven sat down and began drafting orders to halt other mobile suit production and development on the more obsolete models and to divert those resources into building more of the GN-XIII units that had just come into service. Despite the defeat at Taipei, she felt that the new model had performed well and approved it as the new front line unit for Fandom forces.

Raven also brought up schematics of a new mobile suit design that used a GN drive and signed off on the order to begin developing it immediately.
She also started looking over ideas to adapt GN drives to existing mobile weapon designs for anything that could make a difference in the Fandom's fight against the Federation.

(I'm just using this as a chance to introduce him)
Dr. Von Hawker

Among fandom scientists there was a very skilled but eccentric Doctor; this man, Nars Von Hawker, had many Fandom weapons and technologies to his name. He was highly respected but very hard to understand and interact with; he had a habit of muttering 'nonsense' to himself and acting strangely when he sees the potential for an 'interesting" experiment.

Right now he was headed toward the medical section of the satellite upon a request of one of his colleagues. He did not specialize in medicine but apparently they thought they needed his opinion on one of the "patients". Von Hawker entered to find the black haired doctor sitting in a swivel chair intently studying a report.

"yes yes you called, correct?"

"ah Dr. Von Hawker; yes I'd like your opinion on this patient."

The younger doctor handed Von Hawker the chart he had been studying seconds earlier:

-The subject had been exposed, to the severity of space and survived, with no detrimental effects to his health.

-Further examination had provided staggering and bizare results.

-Highlights include an internal temperature of 18 C.

-At rest he achieved a heart rate of 145 beats per minute, during his physical exertion there was no change.

The list went on for a few pages, with similar abnormalies. Von Hawker had figured it out but letting others know would waste a perfectly good experiment.

"Clear him for duty and put him somewhere I can watch him, yes yes, this patient is perfect, yes yes. in fact make that an order, yes yes, an order"

It did not take long before Lt. Fourteen had gotten his order papers. He looked over it, mumbling to himself.

"The research department?" to make things worse his direct superior would be some egg head.

Great He thought. Pointless exercises over and over again. Probably going to be stuck at this dull colony for the rest of the war.

Eventually Lt. Fourteen did calm down and he decided it would be best to think positively. Perhaps he'd get to play with some cool unit before it hit the front lines. He could possibly find a fault in it's design and have it corrected saving many lives in the process. That or he could get blown up by some faulty machine that wasn't put together properly...

The next morning he stood infront of a Dr. Von Hawker's office. He was a little confused, why no first name? Or was his first name Von?

He stood there rigidly his uniform almost as stiff as him from starch, before he knocked on the door which opened automatically after the 3rd knock.

Wedge stepped in with a wide smooth gait and made direct eye contact with Dr. Von Hawker.

"Dr, I'm lieutenant Fourteen, i've been sent to assist you and your team of researchers in any way possible." He said offering him the papers which contained the official order. Fourteen wasn't aware of the fact that the Doctor had requested Wedge to be assigned to his team.

"good to see you Mr. Fourteen yes yes good to see you indeed."

the doctor stood but offered no handshake or other greeting.

'I must know yes yes I'd like to know are you familiar with GN drive units?"

"Hey kid who the hell are you?" A pretty big and gruff Gunney stared the not so imposing figure of Nowe down as he left his unit.

Nowe had been expecting this sort of thing and put a big smile on his face even while his headphones continued to play music. "Warrent Officer Nowe Triefth Sir! I was apart of the Taipei assault and managed to shoot down one of those new Federation units." He tried to sound enthusastic but the Gunney continued to start him down.

"Your not a member of this unit. Where did you come from?"

"Reinforcements from Vietnam sir." It was a lie of course but units from that group had been in that battle. It seemed believable to him.

"Awe so your stranded. Well welcome to the group, we should be arriving at the Fandom mobile weapons development mobile colony. Maybe you can talk them into giving you one of those new fangled GN-XIIIs while your there. That machine you have now is not longer as impressive as it was several months ago."

"Yes sir I shall." Nowe gave a big grin as he took off to find something to eat before they arrived.
