TARRRPG Faction Mecha Listing

This thread is here as a reference as to what sides in the conflict are currently using what mecha and what kinds of machines each side is likely to use in the future. So if you have a particular mech in mind to use, the character using it will have to be a member of the faction that would use it.

The Federation Forces:
In general the Feds are the only ones who will produce Gundam type mobile suits from here on out. The Fandom wouldn't build one of their own as it is a symbol of something that they are trying to destroy. The Throne Gundams are an exception to this rule however.

Mass produced units include the Union Flag series of machines (00) and various Dagger types (Seed/Destiny) with the latest being the Dagger L with the Windam to come later. F91 era Jegans are also in use in space with MP versions of the F90 when MS tech eventually goes to the smaller models. There are also a small number of VF-11 Thunderbolts (Macross Plus/7) that will be used by elite squadrons.
Edit (12/29): Heavygun and G-Cannon mobile suits are now being built and deployed in space.
Edit (2/14): Windams and Murasames now available.

Warships include mostly EFF types. Ra Cailum, Clop, and Salamis Kai class ships (UC). Earth Alliance ships of the Cosmic Era may also be used, but let me know first if you want to use the Girty Lue.

Fandom Forces:

In general the Fandom is using Zeonic/monoeye style machines. This includes designs used by the Titans. Any ZAFT machine that isn't a Gundam is also available for use by the Fandom. The Providence and Legend are exceptions to that rule and the former will need a newtype pilot as well if you want to use it.
The Fandom is also the only faction that is producing mobile weapons that use GN technology. (GN Tau drives) GN-X mobile suits are available and the GN-XIII and Ahead units will appear later as the second season of 00 rolls on. A GN Tau drive may also be equipped to almost any existing Fandom unit granting flight capabilities in the atmosphere as well as powering GN beam weapons.
As noted in the listing for the Federation, the Throne Gundams may be used by the Fandom as player character suits as a way of them throwing the Federation's best weapon back in their faces as an insult.
Edit (12/29): GN-XIII now in production and avalible for use.

The Fandom also makes use of the metal armors of the Giganos Empire from the anime Metal Armor Dragonar. There is a listing for them on the main site so you can easily find info on them if you need to.
Recently, Fandom technicians have been able to adapt the moble doll system to their mobile suit forces and are using them to supplement their manned mobile weapon force. So mobile doll versions of Fandom mechs are also open to use.

Warships: Again Zeon and ZAFT designs dominate the Fandom space forces. The Fandom also uses the Alexandria class used by the Titans in Zeta.

Divine Crusaders:

The DC use really everything that they used in their Original Generations incarnation. Armored modules of every type are used, but in the future will be replaced by the Huckebein Mk. II M. Later on, Shadow Mirror mecha will comprise their ranks.
Other Huckebein models are also available as PC mecha as are other Banpresto Originals that are not overpowered compared to the rest of the machines in the game. (The SRX and most super robots would not be allowed, but things like the R-Blade and Wild Wurger would be fine. PM me if you're not sure about one of them.)

General Technology Limits:

While I am allowing a great deal of freedom in what mecha people can choose from, there are some limits in place to keep the balance.

Right now, nothing in the UC past the point where mobile suits were being shrunk down. (Edit 12-29: Heavygun and G-Cannons open for Federation use.)
G Gundam Gundams are also off limits for now (with the exception of one certain character in the near future).
For After Colony mecha, anything that was animated is allowed as a PC mecha.
After War (Gundam X), anything that doesn't use the Satellite system is allowed. Note that this is because the Satellite system does not yet exist in this universe.
The Correct Century mecha are totally off limits. Anything that isn't too powerful can be found in another form in the UC, although if you really want to use the CC Kapool, then you can.
For Cosmic Era machines, everything is open for use as long as you have the right faction using it.
As far as Anno Domini mecha goes, anything from the first season of 00 that doesn't use a true GN drive is okay. This includes manga variations.
The whole of the GN-X series is also open for use with Aheads to come soon.

If anyone spots something I have missed or would like to add something to the list, please post here and let me know.

Free/abandoned mobile weapons list:

These are just as it sounds. Mobile weapons abandoned by other characters that can be picked up by others in their respective factions.

Federation: 1x RX-78GP-02 MLRS system version

Divine Crusaders: 1x PMX-000 Messala, 1x GN-X, 1x Wildwurger L, 1x Wildfalken R, 1x Impulse Gundam, 1x Savior Gundam

Fandom: 1x Qubeley Mk. II (requires newtype pilot)

Heavy Metals: Most Heavy Metals are probably fair game, except the following for now:
The L-Gaim was piloted by Black Mage and has been destroyed.
The Amon Duule Stack and L-Gaim Mark II are off-limits, as are anything with a Buster Launcher equipped (Blood Temple, Emper Temple, Original Auge. The Bat-shu should be alright because AFAIK it's not all that high-end compared to the aforementioned four anyway, but up to the DM).
The standard Auge should be fine, as is the Novel D.Sserd.

Both the Federation and Fandom have access to all grunt Heavy Metals belonging to the Poseidal Army.
The DC has access to all grunt Heavy Metals belonging to the Rebel Forces.

Elemental Lords/Machines: These are pretty much off-limits. The only three machines in this line that are allowed in this RPG are the Psybuster, Granzon and Valsione; Tuxedo Mask's Duraxyll is the one single exception in that it does not have a Prana Converter equipped, and uses more standard means of powering its attacks.

Walker Machines: Yes, for those of you that actually know what Xabungle is. Everything there should be okay (except the Iron Gears, of course; Those are huge!) except, obviously, the Walker Gallier do not have ICBMs to toss around.
Due to the run-down, scrappy nature of most of the Walker Machines, it seems unlikely for either side to be using them. Civilian resistance groups and militias have full access to most of these, though.

Didn't you say real GN drives are off limits a while ago?

Could the Fandom use RF Doms?

Unless one is brought through the portal system (which is unlikely at this point), yes that is true.

You should have been able to figure out on your own that yes they can. I even said specifically some time ago that they can be used by Fandom forces as well as the other Zeon RF units.

Knightmare Frames:

-the Federation has access to any Britannian built KMF.
-the Fandom has Black knights KMFs
-DC will have a few bits of Geass tech but no KMFs

the Lancelot Albion and Guren SEITEN are probably too powerful at the current time

also of note the DC has access to G-Stone tech

Star Wars Starfighters: Starfighters should be fine, Capships are not --- especially Star Destroyers. Nothing beyond the Original Trilogy, though (so no Yuuzhan Vong fightercraft, please), and no Hyperdrives, Proton Torpedoes and Tractor Beams; The former wouldn't be of much help to anyone with Fold Drives in existence, anyway.
Also, no Ion Cannons and Mag Pulse Torpedoes.
Starfighter shields block all attacks, but weaken with each hit --- the harder the blow, the more severely it weakens. Shields regenerate slowly on their own, but can quickly regenerate by sacrificing weapon energy or rediverting power from engines.

Yeah, anything beyond the Battle of Endor is definitely not allowed.
As for an upper limit on capital ships, nothing more powerful then a Nebulon-B frigate. A single light cruiser may be used as a flag/command ship of a high ranking officer. (Commander/Lt. Colonel or higher)
The shields of said capital ships will also likely be nerfed for the sake of game balance, and I am right here and now outlawing the likes of the TIE Defender and other similar performing craft unless you can give me a damn good reason to allow its use.

Although at this point I don't see any of the three major factions making use of this technology as they have other priorities for weapon construction or simply have something better in their arsenal to use than a fighter craft. However, I may make use of some of the various armed cargo ships instead of the usual Gundam transports.

I'm making use of this thread to post custom machines that are also in the game. All may be used by PCs and most are mass produced as well. Again, if I've missed one let me know and feel free to post other custom models that may be used by other players.

GM Dynames
Unit type: long-range sniper mobile suit
Manufacturer: Human Federation
Operator: Human Federation
Accommodation: pilot only, in standard cockpit in torso
Overall height: 18.2 meters
Overall weight: 59.2 metric tons
Armament: long range beam sniper rifle x 1, beam pistol x 1, beam saber x1

Developed by the Human Federation shortly after the arrival of the first Mecha Talk pilots, the "GM" Dynames was rolled out as a mass production version of the Gundam Dynames to provide support for the then new Jegan models that were being produced.
Usually deployed in space as a fire support and sniper unit, they are typically grouped with Jegans in a 3:1 ratio. (3 Jegans and one GM Dynames)

---------------------------

DCAM-004CK Cosmolion Kai
Unit type: space use mass production armored module
Manufacturer: DC
Operator: DC
Accommodation: pilot only, in standard cockpit in torso
Height: 20.8 meters
Weight: 39.4 metric tons
Equipment: Tesla drive, boost drive, ASRS
Armament: Gatling gun x 2, homing missile launcher x 8, beam cannon x 1, beam saber x1

As the war continued on, the DC soon found that while their armored modules gave them an advantage on Earth, they were not as effective in space compared to other designs and were lagging behind as a result.
Given the smaller production capacity of the DC compared to the Federation and Fandom, it would be a while before new units were able to be built and fielded so a stopgap measure was needed. This came in the form of modifying and upgrading their existing armored module forces to more modern specs.

The Cosmolion Kai is the first of these efforts. Improvements include several extra maneuvering thrusters to increase maneuverability and mobility as well as a change in the primary weapon. The railgun mounted on the left arm has been replaced with a beam cannon that has slightly higher output than a Human Federation Jegan's beam rifle.
Also taking a cue from the Fandom GuAIZ model, DC techs have added a beam saber to the otherwise empty right arm of the machine allowing it to make close in attacks.

Alpha-class Xg-1 Assault Gunboat
Code Name: Star Wing
Unit Type: Assault Starfighter
Manufacturer: Fandom
Operator: Fandom
First deployment: CE 100
Accommodation: pilot only, in standard canopy-style cockpit
Dimensions: overall length 10.0 meters; overall height 7.2 meters
Wingspan: 15.1 meters
Weight: unknown
Propulsion: 2 x 4K7 Dual Line thermonuclear reaction turbine engines: maximum speed unknown
Equipment and design features: sensors, range unknown; Novaldex forward- and rear-projecting shield system
Fixed armaments: 2 x beam cannon, mounted in nose; 2 x warhead launcher, payload varies depending on weapon loaded

Having acquired a lone VF-27 Lucifer from the Lunar Corp shortly before it was taken over by the Federation, the Fandom attempted to duplicate and mass produce the fighter for their own use without success.
However, they were able to replicate various components of the craft such as the engines and the pinpoint barrier system.
These were used in producing the "Star Wing" Assault Gunboat: the Fandom's own assault fighter to replace older and slower flight capable assault mobile suits on earth which were often being picked off before they could reach their targets.

The pinpoint barrier technology was expanded upon to create an omni-directional shield system to protect the craft. It was nowhere near as powerful as the PPB carried by the VF-27, but was deemed adequate for the role it was to take in battle. The engines were also powerful enough to allow the craft to achieve atmospheric clearance unassisted, which allowed the Gunboat to be deployed from orbit to a target and return to space after the mission was over, eliminating the need for a dedicated base on Earth.

The craft was armed with two beam guns in the nose and two general purpose warhead launchers, one on each side of the craft, that could be loaded with a variety of munitions such as guided missiles, anti-ship torpedoes, and heavy rockets and bombs for attacking enemy base fortifications.

The Assault Gunboat however was rather lacking when it came to combating other mobile weapons and thus would typically have an escort of GN-X series mobile suits to protect it from other mobile suit threats.

Here is a Fandom design. I know my character Daniel Smith will comand a team of them but, if Wingnut allows it they can appear in other Fandom forces as well. They use the deuterion beam energy supply system to power the satellite launcher so a proper ship will be in order.

Model number: RMS-012-8-M.
Code name: Descem-M.
Unit type: satellite launcher loading mobile suit.
Manufacturer: Fandom.
Operator(s): Fandom.
Accommodation: pilot only, in standard cockpit in torso.
Armor materials: lunar titanium alloy armor and frame.
Powerplant: ultracompact fusion reactor, power output rating unknown.
Equipment and design features: sensors, range unknown; deuterion beam energy supply system, allows for remote recharging of energy with battleship.
Fixed armaments: satellite launcher x 1; 2x beam sabers stored in recharge racks, mounted on side hip armor; machine cannon x 2, mounted in main body.
Optional hand armaments: beam rifle; shotgun; machine gun; shield.

It would depend on how it's being used. It certainly would not be a mass produced unit and charging and firing of the big gun would take at least two turns (posts) to pull off.
That machine also looks like this BTW.

An announcement on the use of 00 Gundams.
They are as of now, prohibited. The lack of true GN drives in this universe and the pace of Fandom GN technology development renders the first season units obsolete, and I wasn't even considering allowing the second season Gundams until after the show had concluded anyway.

Currently existing drives in the game may stay as they are.

I never dreamed of mass production just maybe a one or two in regular fandom forces to give them a great gun to use.
