Hector laid on his back sleeping somewhat peacefully.

September 2, C.E. 71

Hector looked around and saw the controls of his old GINN. There it was littered with a few pictures of him and his brothers. "This is Pervert(JV), Lazy-Ass(Wee), and Rookie(Hector) be ready there been reports of heighten Naturals activity" said JV.

"Aww man soo troublesome damn stupid Naturals there is nothing in this sector" said Wee complaining. "Well as long as were here they think Zaft my attack them from here or something" said Hector.

"This is Sexy-Man(Critty), both Brawler(Chris) and Aaron sweep is clean... why we using code names again?" asked Critty. "Well looks like Critty buying the drinks" said Aaron.
------------
Then out of nowhere one of the three Laurasia-class ships was shot down by EA forces. The eighteen mobile suit out on patrol were scattered and rushed to the ship.

There they saw there first wave of Moebius behind Five enemy ships. There began a dangerous chase. Unaware of the enemy mobile suits preparing to attack. Hector fired his side missile pod in a group salvo at the enemy warships. Then a Moebius jumped out Hector blindly fired a spray at it until a bright explosion occured tossing his Ginn.

"Critty whats that at two o'clock?" asked Hector watched in horror as a beam ripped through one of his friends cockpit blowing up. "What..... he as there now he's not... why? why did that happen? Aaron why did he blow up? why did Critty blow up?" said Hector thinking it was a bad dream.

"Rookie get your head in the game" was Chris shout as he fired a final Salvo which sunk one of the ships. The fighting continued until there was only Eight Ginn's left and two CGue. Hector fired a wounding shot at one of the Daggers and Wee finished it off.

"Man how many mobile suits did they have?" asked JV. "Twenty-four when it started think we took down ten already" said Chris.

Hector helping deal with kill number Eleven did not see the Dagger coming for the right with it saber in hand. Hector turned his head firing wildly at the Dagger but the bullet hit only the head he threw the assault rifle but it got cut like a piece of paper.

Then he drew his sword in a effort to defend himself. He held his ground until his left booster gave out. Chris gave Hector support by firing at the Dagger arm blowing it off allowing Hector to hack his sword into it.

"Chris thanks" said Hector until he heard someone shout about Chris back. He was impaled by another two daggers before they flew away. Then for no reason the four ships turned around with three slightly damaged vessel running away, and all the mobile suits retreated.

The fourth Vessel that lagged behind too much was quickly getting overwhelmed by the two Laurasia-class ships. It was destroyed but escape pods were visible. "Guys what are the others doing, whats the Lieutenant doing?" asked Julian as he watched the other MS teams shoot the pods. Hector saw a enemy soldier leave the pod t only get grabbed by Aaron and crushed.

"Hector, Wee return to the ship let them get over their pain even if there murdering people" was all that was said. But Hector heard EA soldiers over the radio beg not to kill them.

Current Date

Hector awoke sweaty and breathing hard. "Not everyone can let the past go, some of us can never let it go" said Hector staring at his ceiling.

"A date, huh." Carrah comments. This was a bit new (again), she hadn't gone out with anyone for years (or talked to anyone, for that matter).

Sidestepping and rolling her eyes, she mentions, "Well, I could use a free meal sometime... I'll go maybe..."

"...if we don't get involved deeper in this current mess, anyways."

"Don't count us out yet, Carrah. If I know her, Shema will get to the bottom of this mess and drag us along for the bitter ride," Michael said cynically as he engulfed his third chicken strip. "Just consider going on a date. You might end up actually enjoying it. Besides, I'm not one of those legions of fanclub boys and girls, remember. So you'd actually have a date free of personal bias and annoying questions."

OOC: Here's the arc-end RP, fellas, co-written with Wedge14. If you want to wrap up anything your character's doing in this Phase, please do so in due time. Also, assume that anything you're doing is wrapped up before the events in this RP. In other words, don't RP in response to this post.

IC:
- Six Days after the Copernicus Incident -

Owen White, 47 years old and a native of Sextilis City, shut off his display monitor. No matter how many times he watched the recorded report from Shema Granzi, his anger would not subside. The cold manner with which she rung off the names of ZAFT heroes who lost their lives for nothing chilled him to the bone.

He ran his fingers through his silver-grey hair and made his way to the docking mechanism. He glanced nervously at a detachment of ZAFT MPs who had been stationed on the Conch for this meeting. These men didn't belong on his ship. But nobody in the Granzi fleet belonged in theirs. He grunted as he came to his aide. They rounded the corner just as the docking procedure had completed.

With a slight hiss a hatch opened to the Cynthia. There Owen was greeted by a lone man. It was the ship's captain, Zach Brant. Owen was quick to speak before the muscled captain could go through the formalities.

"I suggest Shema has a room prepared for the debreifing?" He said with a wretched leer.

Zach, unperturbed by Owen's blunt hostility, led the Conch's skipper to one of the Cynthia's smaller meeting rooms: a simple, white place with a small table in the center.

Shema Granzi rose from her seat at the end of the room.

"Captain White," she gave a brusque salute.

Owen nodded, and both ZAFT whites took seats on opposite ends of the table. Owen noted the tea in front of him.

"Commander Granzi, tell me about the incident that occurred six days ago."

Shema made a subtle production of taking her tea. "I find it interesting, White, that you would take the time to come aboard my ship and demand information you already reviewed in my report."

"Commander Granzi, you fail to understand the gravity of the situation at hand. Our peace with the Earth nations is a shaky one at best. The last problem we need is a rogue commander wantonly engaging OMNI military assets. Do you realize that the last worry our people need is the spectre of another war?"

-

The hatches to each of the engine rooms slammed open in unison. The technicians therein all jumped at the sight of ZAFT MPs striding in purposefully, but knew better than to do anything other than comply with their commands.

-

White bite his lip angrily as he watched Granzi just casually sip at her tea, his temple pulsating wildly. As attractive as he found her, he just wanted to wring her neck.

"Shema," he said, reaching for the tea. He took a good sip and was rather surprised by its taste.

"You need to cooperate with me. The whole Council is in an uproar over this incident. My brother... Look, Commander, something else happened on that day and we need to get to the bottom of it! And I'm... ZAFT is willing to do anything to get to the bottom of it!"

-

Confusion reigned in the mess hall as a particularly large contingent of MPs spread into it. Shouting and scuffling turned the hall into a sea of directionless and panicked servicemen. A few enlisted men had to be clubbed before some semblance of order was acquired.

-

Shema placed her cup of tea on its saucer. Despite the gentle grace of her movements, her demeanor retained its cold rigidity.

"Don't pester me with the Council's problems. It's their worry, not ours. I had my unit engage an unidentified force that had fired upon Copernicus. When that force retreated, a second force claiming to be OMNI's 14th Lunar Patrol Squadron arrived to protect it. And now you and the Council come to me looking for answers, when it's the military leaders of the Earth nations who need to answer for what happened."

-

Someone panicked when the MPs poured into the mobile suit bay. A wrench flew down from one of the catwalks and struck an MP in the chest, bowling the man over. A few of his comrades only had to point their guns and threaten return fire to get the assailant to emerge sheepishly with his hands up.

-

"Commander Granzi!" hissed White, "We both served in the war. We saw more heroes die than we can count, and I, for one, am not willing to have our brave soldiers go through that again just because you decided to joyride through Luna, flagrantly ignore treaty terms, and fire at EA military units for whatever sick satisfaction you get from it! I can assure you that the Council, and Chairman Durandal, see this the same way."

Shema never broke her cold evenness, "Don't feed me that nonsense, Captain White. ZAFT exists to protect the people of space, and that's what I did when I engaged warships and mobile suits that were firing at Copernicus civilians."

-

A small group of MPs burst into a locker room in the bowels of the Cynthia. A young mechanic, wearing nothing but dirty work pants and an undershirt, took a startled swing at the first invader, but the well-trained MP easily swatted the fist away and broke the mechanic's nose with the stock of his submachine gun.

-

"And what purpose was there in pursuing once you'd forced them out of the city? Why would you cross into an EA military zone and risk putting our own people at war? Did you think you were doing something for the people of Copernicus?"

-

Though confused, enlisted men obeyed gruff, shouted commands to file out of their quarters with hands on their heads. In the corridors were the all-too-recognizable MP uniforms wrapped around large, muscular men.

-

"I pursued justice for a wrong committed against the people of space."

-

Zach Brant initially didn't bother to turn and face the MPs storming into the main bridge. He simply half-raised his arms and smirked at the turn of events.

He and the rest of the bridge crew were dragged out into the corridor, where he saw more than a few orderlies pressed to the deck with hands on the back of their head. While complying with the bulldog of a man who was growling out orders to file out and follow his directions, Zack could only shake his head and lament that the wrong people were being punished.

-

"And what justice is there if the Alliance seeks retribution over this?"

"Whatever justice ZAFT can mete out to them for allowing an unprovoked attack on a neutral city-state. That's why this organization exists."

"This is ridiculous. There's little point in protecting Copernicus at the risk of another war with Earth. You want to save a pin by putting the whole factory at risk."

"White, how long do you plan on stalling me? Don't waste my time. Arrest me."

White, to his credit, didn't flinch at the revelation that Shema knew his true purpose after all. He figured she would, anyway. He stared off into the distance blankly for a moment before replying in a much calmer, colder state, mirroring Shema's rigid persona.

"Commander Shema Granzi, you and your subordinates are under arrest for operating outside your parameters and jurisdiction and breaching the terms of the Junius Treaty, all without authorization or legitimate cause."

During White's words, two of the MPs entered the room quietly, but not stealthily. They positioned themselves on either side of Shema and kept their submachine guns at the ready.

"Ridiculous." Shema spoke of the need for two armed MPs in her arrest, not the arrest itself. That was apparently lost on Owen.

"You will be escorted to the Conch as soon as your ship is under lockdown. You will be brought to your home in December City and put under house arrest until your trial."

Shema simply turned her palms upward.

"Hmm, really," Carrah says with a slight smile. Actually, she wasn't too crazy with the notion of going out with someone right after a freak skirmish, but she's not one to flat out reject someone, etiher. But she still doesn't trust the man, regardless, even if he says all the things about how he's not the other guys. Speaking of which, how the hell does he know so much about me? With that thought, Carrah finishes up, stands up, and then quickly exits the cafeteria.

"I'll see you later, Carrah," Michael said as he continued eating his food. For once, he actually was enjoying it. Much had changed for him since this engagement with the Alliance forces. He'd made an unlikely friendship with Hector out of the horrors of the last war, and there was a chance for reconciliation with Carrah.

Regardless of what happened next, Michael Alvaaron continued to eat his chicken strips and french fries without another care in the world.

As Marcus had finished his triade, Darius sighed and set his jaw, teeth gnashing at the rage that roared within him. With the crack of his knuckles, Darius clenched his fists at either side and leered at Marcus as he kicked off toward the infirmary..

"You're right Marcus, even though I hate to admit it. Sheema will get her comeuppance.."

He made his way back to the infirmary, silently, though still fuming.

6 days later, Darius would find himself at the opposing end of a ZAFT autorifle, inwardly surprised at the swift response. He smiled slightly at how right he had been about the ZAFT justice system..
