Totally Awesome Random Robot RPG Discussion Thread

By popular demand, the discussion thread for the Gundam Character Party. First post will contain all characters, their allegiances, and current mobile suits. All successive posts will deal with OOC discussion, custom mobile suits, etc.

All information is based upon what has happened so far in the thread. It wil be updated by either me or a player with mod-abilities regularly. If an NPC (such as Jean Sterling), is introduced by one character (say, Strike Zero), their profile will have their player as Strike Zero. However, when another character (say Folken Fanel) posts as Jean, his player will change to 'varied'.

FzMS-250 Strum Eins
Model number: FzMS-250
Code name: Strum Eins
Unit type: transformable sniper mobile suit
Manufacturer: Federation Forces
Operator: Zangetsu
First deployment: March 21, 2008
Accommodation: pilot only, in panoramic monitor/linear seat cockpit in torso
Equipment and design features: sensor radome, mounted on back, range 15000 meters
Fixed armaments: 4 x beam saber, two stored in recharge racks in forearms and two mounted in wings (usable in mobile armor mode only), hand-carried in use.
Optional hand armaments: beam smartgun

After Zabo returned to the ship bringing back the Fz-109G StrumZorn and the RMS-141 Xeku Eins (Type 2 Armament) Zangetsu was left with two broken mechs. Instead of piloting either one which he didn't like, he choose to combine the two. He enhanced the armor of the StrumZorn with that of the Xeku Eins. Also he gave it the Panoramic Cockpit along with the Xeku Eins's weapons. This combanation gave the suit good monuverablity and speed, while inhancing it's firepower and armor.

Well, shit. Thanks, Ascension for messing up my plans. I was planning on not only bringing in the Valsion to use, but have Bian himself as well using it along with the rest of the DC as a splinter group of people who originally joined the Fandom, but have come to dislike the way they are doing things and have formed an armed resistance against them.

I would have even brought them in to save Folken if I had gotten to the forums in time to do so and as you may have guessed, they were indeed the unknown pilots I mentioned standing by outside that battle area.
I even had some interesting dialog prepped for Bian and Raven Sterling.

So I was waiting for a time where I could have them come in and have a Big Damn Heros moment and save the Feddie pilots collective rear ends.

I'll let you keep the Valsion if you like (we can say the plans got stolen or something), but perhaps change the yellow highlights to a different color so the two units can be distinguished from one another on the battle field.

I could retcon. I mean, I haven't done anything with it. I just wanted to establish that Papitimoose didn't have anything in his hangar that was small enough to have a chance of beating a protagonist. And the Valsion is all kinds of awesome. I give the Kai to Leona whenever I play OG1.

Alternatively I could just do a Char and give it pinkish (salmon!) highlights, distinguishing it from Zoldark's in that way.

Anybody got any other suggestions for giant mechs of DOOM? I don't really want to be an NT, so the Psycos, Quin Mantha, et al are out, and I don't really want any of the Inspectors' freakish machines, but surely there's something I could use.

...don't make me pull out the Granzon. That would be an unholy level of pwnage.

Well, there is the Valsion Kai Type CF that is seen in OGs and OG Gaiden. (It even looks like The O to some extent.) It lacks the Divine Arm, but does have the Cross Smasher and Graviton Wave at is disposal.
Valsion Kai CF in action. (Yes, that is a hack and they are on the level late in OG1 where you have to fight your Aerogater doppelgangers in the White Star.)

I can probably use the CF. I'll miss the sword, but it does look vaguely O-ish.

My primary criteria are big, oldtype-use, evil-looking, and non-SEED. Most of the big stuff in UC is newtype use, and most of the alternate universes don't have so much big stuff, so it's hard to find something that fits the bill in Gundam. Jupiter Ghost, the Dandelion, the Gable, the Grand Gundam, or the Neue Ziel might work. I'll probably just use the CF, though.

Double posting for emphasis... I've retconned it, but not with the CF... I went with something else that can be somewhat easily confused with Sirocco's baby (just add adjective!)

Lucky for you I don't think Roger knows how to dimension jump. You will have to mention the modifications you made to allow the thing to work in space of course when you sortie for the first time, as the Big O is a certified ground pounder with no thrusters that were ever used in the show.
This should be simple enough however as the back has plenty of room to add on additional thrusters and whatever else you might need for space use.

I know the FMP mechs are used in space in SRW, so I figured I could get away with it.

Don't ask me how/why it declares me not guilty...

...I might end up going the way of Alan Gabriel. We'll see.

Attention all participants!
Due to the fact that the Character Party thread here has played out more like a conventional RPG than the old CP threads did, this will soon be moved to the General RPG section.
However, the game will not change so you need not worry about any special RPG sign-ups or anything of that nature.

In short: Same TV program, new channel. I will also be a temp mod for that forum so I can keep helping out with any minor tweaks that may be needed.

Any chance you can pic a color other than green that I can actually read without having to highlight it, Volnixshin?

Due to recent rulings by the Trinary, I will now be in charge of updating the list in the first post. Please submit any new main characters or any changes to existing characters of yours to me as you would/did to Folken and I will make the appropriate additions.

Also given in game events and loss of the Dynames from the battlefield given the wrecked state it was in, the Federation will be developing a mass produced version of the suit so if anyone has the time and skill, a stat sheet and/or a franken/regular drawing of a GM-like Dynames would be greatly appreciated.
