Quick XBOX 360 Question

Is the XBOX 360 Region Encoded or not? i see that the DVD player is R1 but im not sure if the same holds true for games?

My 360 games do say NTSC on them...

While I believe that the system itself is region locked the games are not necessarily region locked as well. It's really a game by game basis with discretion in the hands of the publishers.
She's right Marge, the pants are a dead giveaway.
