Get Hellion when it comes out
C rank Rock S rank damage trololo
1 hit to the back of a B rank paper kills said paper
K type RB 79K Ball has S rank cannons that are a bit hard to use.
But no, yo can't level a suit up in terms of rank. why would you want to? You cost more n have less lives in DM for the same stats
Psycho/Cgue/Apsallus II team clears most missions even on Expert.
btw Freedom is an AS rank tier suit with an S rank tag. Well, okay, it's buffed and has infinite dash...not bad and usable Justice has B rank HP/DEF and no PS Armor Providence is in a whole class of its own when crappiness is calculated. No PS Armor. Fun to SP bomb Normal 00 is providence tier Turn A is barely above Providence tier. Akatsuki with Shirauni pack is Provie Mk.2 00 QanT is rank S while 00 Raiser is SS rank Nether Gundam is beyond troll. 10 hit combo. You'll want a Psycho. It comes from Normal mission so it's really easy to get.

Well after playing it for a few days now I can say with confidence that I have found my latest addiction. Also I'm a real n00b in this game, I die way to much >_< Still a lot of fun though.

I haven't even tried VS. Mode yet, considering from what I heard from here everyone there's practically a pro from the previous game.
I've just been running around Mission Mode with my Kampfer.

Yeah, this game has a heady meta, so it can be rough being the new guy especially if you use a melee heavy playstyle. I never had the patience to master all the tricks and exploits for melee comat so I just went hardcore paper and spend most of my time just playing "mid-tier" rather than "pro".
The best piece of advice I got starting out was to focus on surviving (dodging, using cover, etc.) and once you get that down move on to practicing offense.

Best skill: Brains + Teamwork
Although melee techs are necessary
<--Turn slashed a Shenlong mid combo, 3v1d a Gouf Custom, 105 Dagger, Strike gundam, all using a GM. THE GM, killed the Gouf and beat down the other two until the Gouf respawned and killed me. This server is saddening.

Heh... I'm still sticking to the TW version. Not as many english players, but... the English one seems to be updating at such a slow pace, not to mention, I don't feel like losing any of my mixed suits ><
How is the english playbase if I may ask, in terms of skill with like PVP and missions?
Speaking of which, Ydawg, have you been on SDGO at all recently, the TW version? I swear your name looks so familiar.
EDIT: 5 capsules in one update? Huh, they may catch up a little then. Still, doesn't explain the outrageous pricing on things like paint.

I just started playing this game today and I'm a little confused. How do you buy capsules? They say they cost so many "points", but when I click draw it wants coins. And to buy coins, you need astro which you have to pay for. So is the only way to get new suits through questing or just paying for them? What are the points you earn even good for, besides the stupid concept of renting a mobile suit?

There's a tab menu in the window that has coins and points where you select you method of "payment". Just click over to the points tab and you should be all set.

Thanks for the response. This game is very fun and addicting so far and being able to get new suits will definitely keep it that way.

Protip: If you see someone named after the full name, with caps, or a famous UC pilot, that is probably a troll from the KR-based IRC channel.
Skills are woeful. They can barely do N level quests and people still have been known to use the normal Zeta and ZuOOT.
Side 7 Expert drops a lot of AS rank Sword Strike plans though. Get one; you need one for Justice and IJ.
AS Impulse is everywhere.
New caps have nice stuff.
Gunbarrel Dagger has reached its golden age.
Ball K is as crazy OP as ever.
Shark Mouth Ball from a level locked quest is also very nice. If you know the art of Psyco Melee and spread megaparticle cannon abuse, you can be a true troll.
I'd like more G shop plans though.

Question: Do you get anything back when you scrap a machine? I've filled up three of my four hangers, and I'm wondering if they just to into virtual oblivion when scrapped or not.
