I'm guessing that the RX-78-7 might be a possible candidate for DLC MS units if Blue Destiny 1 is possible. Although I'm leaning more towards the Beginning Gundam and Forever Gundam for more obvious reasons. (*cough*Anime production*cough fits Gunpla builders motif *cough*)
EDIT: You would think since the Cheridum Gundam used its GN pistol IIs as melee weapons in the anime quite often, that it might be brought over in the games as well. Apparently not, as both G Generation World and Extreme vs have left out that feature. Have fun in close combat with this unit. Haven't used the Dynames yet though...

Re: Gundam Extreme Vs coming on PS3
BD1 is a nice surprise. Hope we get more of these. Yuu's crazy laughter felt a bit wierd though.
I wish Sangokuden would make an appearance, just like Knight Gundam's surprise appearance in Musou 3. Heck, we have Gackt Gundam, anything else wouldn't be too out of place.

Re: Gundam Extreme Vs coming on PS3
Had a long session playing with friends and will be having many more sessions!
This game is beautiful and is leaps and bounds beyond Zaft vs Alliance which was my favourite of the Versus series.
The pacing is FAST, FAST, FAST however the controls are ALLLL about timing. Firing wildly and spamming attacks will hardly get you anywhere unless you're using one of the most powerful suits on the easiest courses.
Each suit also plays distinctly differently so make your choice wisely according to your stlye of gameplay.
I was a bit upset to see how slow the Unicorn is. The anime portrays it as a very fast suit even in Unicorn-mode however it moves like a slug in comparison to some other suits. However, maybe my timing was all wrong when I was playing it.
Strike Gundam is fun to play but takes some getting used to. The RX-78 is FUN!!

Re: Gundam Extreme Vs coming on PS3
You definitely have to get into a rhythm to win. My problem is that the second enemy always hits me from out of nowhere and throws me off, which results in getting double teamed and combo'd to death while my partner is off playing with himself.
Still not really understanding the controls, I see the CPU performing a lot of attacks I have no idea how to do, and my suits sometimes do a different attack for no apparent reason.
Also, the CPU Command function being on the L1 is a horrible choice, but I don't know how to change it in the options since I can't read kanji.

Hey Black Lion, make sure that you read the below FAQ in order to learn the moves list.
Have you played the Sinanju? I lose track of him when I'm using high mobility mode. Beam sabers and meteorites just go flying wildly across the screen, lol. I was also very impressed with how the CPU can use Sinanju to dodge massive funnel fire very easily.
The game is definitely fast but it gets more manageable as you continue.AmuroNT1 wrote: Also, my buddy ZGMFX10Amod00 from the Junk Guild just had an FAQ for the game published. Here's the link: http://www.gamefaqs.com/ps3/641161-kido ... faqs/63453

Re: Gundam Extreme Vs coming on PS3
I think the big problem is people have to get out of the fighting game mindset. From the days of Feds vs Zeon, there's always been that warning arrow on screen that tells you when an attack is incoming from offscreen, and there's the radar to show you exactly where the other enemy is coming from. That's how those Japanese players seem to make all those psychic evades.
Before you perfect your combos, learn to watch the warning arrows and radar. It's actually the hardest part of this game series, and what separates average players from great players.

Re: Gundam Extreme Vs coming on PS3
I couldn't agree more. I'd also advise to learn how to BLOCK effectively. Blocking is an important skill and differs for each suit but it will also save you a lot of pain from the mean melee combos that some players will put on you.2NA Fish wrote:I think the big problem is people have to get out of the fighting game mindset. Re: Gundam Extreme Vs coming on PS3
And here I thought it would be something difficult, though I don't think anything can be harder than that mission with the three Destroy Gundams. Anyway about the DLC the Arche looks likee it'll be fun to use but I'm probably gonna wait until the Gottrlatan is released before I start buying any. Quick question has anyone filled up the gallery yet? I'm missing of the boss mobile armors, I assumed it was the Apsalus and Aina but I've beaten them already and nothing happened.AmuroNT1 wrote:I haven't used mine, but apparently all you need to do to unlock it normally is beat all the Extra Missions in TM Mode.

Hi-Nu Gundam is NOT unlockable via trial mode. Only DLC and preoder bonus.

Re: Gundam Extreme Vs coming on PS3
That sucks especially considering the Hi Nu appears in Trial Mode as an enemy. I never was a fan of DLC but in this situation I can't complain since I got the Hi Nu for free.

Re: Gundam Extreme Vs coming on PS3
Yeah, we thought it was unlockable but were proven wrong. The pre-order code just says that you can get it for free, implying that it'll become paid DLC in the near future.
...Still need to grab mine, actually.

Re: Gundam Extreme Vs coming on PS3
I use to think the same thing about 10 days ago when I panicked and pushed all the buttons in frustration from sucking so badly. Now, I am more disciplined and I think it was a brilliant move to put the Command function there. Now that I know how to use it and what it does I have been picking up Gold emblems in Arcade mode and S ranking tough missions in Trial Mode. You just have to use the little bar count in the lower left corner to know what's what and where you're at. 1 bar is normal, 2nd bar means shoot what I shoot, 3rd is find your own target, and so forth. I only use 2, 3, and 5.BlackLion wrote:

Making a note here (will add one to the online tags topic as well), my friends from the Junk Guild are looking for some people open to joining some online play. We usually play in the evenings (10 or 11PM Eastern), but we don't have a set day so when we do decide to play I'll throw up a post here. If you're interested, my PSN name is the same as my regular screen name. Just send me a friend request (be sure to say who you are if it isn't obvious from your PSN) and we can see about some Gundam Fighting.

We're going to be doing some battling tonight at about 11PM EST. If anyone wants in, let me know here or on PSN and I'll see that you get invited when the time comes.

What's everyone's favourite suit(s)?
I love to use X-1 Kai for its versatile and fancy melee while the Alex is my current "fun" Gundam to play with. RX-78 and Nu Gundam are my choices for well-rounded play.

My favorites so far are Heavyarms, Blue Frame and Delta Plus
I don't like using the 3000 cost units, it feels cheap.

Re: Gundam Extreme Vs coming on PS3
i got 2. first is Susanowoo. fast, high damage, self impalment and gaint orange ball of stun. and when i need some guns, Tallgeese is my choice. a solid rifle, gerobi that reloads well, whip to counter meleer, not to mention super vernier gives excellent mobility.

Re: Gundam Extreme Vs coming on PS3
Hey, I also like Susanowo but I find that while its melee is insane (I love that spinning whirl), it's way too limited and can be easily funnelled to death. Also, quite a number of the Gundams have melee-counters. If you're able to pull off fighting even good ranged fighters though, I'd sure like to watch some of your gameplay and learn some moves from you.
Heavyarms is silly fun but I hate Blue Frame....I REALLY wanted it in the game but that was because I wanted to use that giant sword all of the time. It's not as exciting to play with as I had hoped.
