Well... great, but a few things:

1. It's not armed with a beam rifle, the attack in the video is called "Burst Railgun."

2. The use of "-lion" in the name is wrong. While most Armored Modules do indeed have -lion (リオン) as a suffix for their names like in Cosmolion (コスモリオン) and Guarlion (ガーリオン), the new unit instead uses レオン, which is pronounced "rey-on." It's a minor difference, but it's still worth noting.

I'm just glad R is in this game. Since they're on an all water stage I hope that's enough of an excuse to see the Diver (and possibly Gunner) frames. Despinis also looks like she might be a usable pilot/unit.

Why do people hate the Krystal originals? I get the game itself since reception is similar to Godzilla vs. Gigan or Megalon, but what did the characters do outside of one being a supposed loli?

On a serious note, rumor at /m/ states the game got released in China today; normally I wouldn't believe this with all the trolling that happens around this time, but China has gotten both halves of Zodiac 2 and Link early so.... That true?

The girls, and even villains, aren't hated as much as Mist himself. I heard that it's his comments through out the game (he's from planet that concept of war against own kind is so alien, and often complain about humans' stupidity).

Mist:
1) Tells the various characters to just "get over" their various personal problems (like Vaan's dead wife),
2) Loudly bitches about how his home planet was SO~ much better than Earth at the drop of a hat, and
3) At the end of the game treats the whole thing like a jolly little adventure...all while everyone else is mourning the death of a character from Fafner.

So yeah, he's a total asspickle, probably the most hated OG character since Lee, and it's become an SRW meme to troll people by claiming he's going to appear in whatever game is about to come out.

(For the record, the Japanese fanbase feels exactly the same way as the Western in this regard; there's no "gulf of cultural understanding" as often occurs with this kind of thing.)

Lee is the ship captain from OG who's incompetent, arrogant, and treats the heroes like manure despite their being the only ones capable of saving the world. He's also the one who defected and got pulped by the Kurogane's drill, to everyone's delight.

And then The Inspector retconned it, and it looks like this game will be following that.
