In this case, the Gundams will be shown in a 1:1 scale instead of the usual SD format when close-ups are done. They should still have the usual SD sprite for the rest of the time.DuelGundam2099 wrote:I don't get it. What does "real type cut in" mean?-The game uses a new REAL TYPE cutin style for the Gundams. You see it in the Wing picture in the scan, but all Gundams will have it (can't tell, scan is crappy)

Re: Super Robot Wars Z 2
Since Wing and 00 are apparently going to be tied together and 00 has only the first season, I wouldn't be surprised if they split Wing as well, leaving some or all of the upgraded suits (and Rhythm Emotion) for the game that will include the second halves of 00, Geass, TTGL and probably Sayonara no Tsubasa as well. In any event, it'll be nice to finally hear something else from Wing, though I'm still not sure why they've never touched any of the cool instrumental pieces from Endless Waltz to break up the monotony (or at least let White Reflection get some more time).Wingnut wrote:Speaking of music, this also means we're going back to Just Communication and maybe Rythem Emotion for Wing instead of yet another remix of Last Impression.
Also, we'll be getting non-tinny versions of Uchuu no Ouja God Mars and Heats and if we're lucky, Big O as well since they unaccountably forgot to include it in Z. Throw in the returning music and all the brand new stuff and it's looking to be a soundtrack to match the epicness of the cast list.

Re: Super Robot Wars Z 2
I'm actually expecting all of wing to be covered in this game. Since 00, gurren lagann and code geass all have time differences between seasons, it'd make a lot of sense to finish wing off in this game. Then have endless waltz in the second game with the second half of each of those series. Though that's just my two cents on the topic.Arsarcana wrote:Since Wing and 00 are apparently going to be tied together and 00 has only the first season, I wouldn't be surprised if they split Wing as well, leaving some or all of the upgraded suits (and Rhythm Emotion) for the game that will include the second halves of 00, Geass, TTGL and probably Sayonara no Tsubasa as well. Words escape me to describe how awesome this series list is. Wow just wow. Though after that extra bit of information from Neogaf, I get the feeling without the squad system it's going to be a lot harder to choose which units to sortie.

Re: Super Robot Wars Z 2
So there is a rumor going around there MAY be 4 more series yet to announce.
I don't know, but have to wait and see if any truth to it.

Looking forward to Shin (Change!!) Getter Robo, Shin Mazinger Shougeki and Macross F, Gundam 00 S1, Votoms, Dancouga, Dancouga Nova and Trider G7.
I'm benching anything from Code Geass and Eureka Seven movie unless the game forces me to deploy their units.

A timeskip between this and the next game will indeed make sense... it also paves the way for Orguss 02 and the Votoms sequels (Shining Heresy, Phantom Chapter, maybe even Alone Again) to appear in the next game. Probably Unicorn too, serving as a "sequel" to CCA.Mattokaiser wrote:Since 00, gurren lagann and code geass all have time differences between seasons, it'd make a lot of sense to finish wing off in this game. Though I wonder how they're going to fit the events of the Eureka movie in this game...

Most likely an alternate universe. It might probably be the same with Z Gundam since the first game used the movie version.TakaTahuNuva wrote:Though I wonder how they're going to fit the events of the Eureka movie in this game...

Yeah keep in mind SRW Z and the Dimension Bomb form Orguss, is all about reality warping.
The potential possibilities for series to come and go are nearly endless.

Re: Super Robot Wars Z 2
That movie in itself dealt with parallel Earths, if anything you can't really use it plot wise without dimensional traveling.Though I wonder how they're going to fit the events of the Eureka movie in this game...
Although I do wonder how the characters from Z are going to react to different versions of Mazinger, Getter Robo, Nirvash, and Zeta Gundam; would the ones from Z just mysteriously die off?
And upon thinking about it I wonder if Battlefield of The Space Saucers was considered since it was more or less Grendizer's pilot movie in a way. Not to mention you'd only need two units (Gattaiger and Yaban saucers, maybe a third form for their monster modes) and plot wise it could be done very quickly since the movie was only half an hour. Ah well.

So for those of us who are curious, this is what the special version pre-order one will be like.

Re: Super Robot Wars Z 2
Part of this could possibly be the black history that they referred to in Z.

I honestly can't wait until the 12th so that I can see the Trailer for the game. The screens themselves are a tease and I can't wait to see the game in action. Also theres a few series that were announced that didn't get shown in the initial Famitsu article so, I can't wait for the trailer.

You and those extra scans of yours are always awesome to look at
Re: Super Robot Wars Z 2
Looks like we can confirm a few baddies:
-Gurren Lagann is fighting Enki, meaning it and almost certainly Viral are going to be in.
-God Sigma slashes an invader from Getter Robo Armageddon.
-Movie Nirvash Spec 1 knife's an A-Zone (drone? minion?), not sure if we'll see just those forms or if they'll recycle all three antibody coralians and rename them since I've only seen that design for ACE Portable.
-Shin Mazinger Z rocket punch's Garada K7, meaning Doublas M2 and their combined form of Garadabura MK01 should also appear.
-I have 0 idea what the hell Dai-Guard is fighting since I haven't seen it's series yet.
-Dancouga Nova is taking out either a genocidron or waroid, most likely the former; it could be something from VOTOMs though.

It's the first Heterodyne monster from the show.-I have 0 idea what the hell Dai-Guard is fighting since I haven't seen it's series yet.
It's the tank Genocidron in grapple mode from the first episode.-Dancouga Nova is taking out either a genocidron or waroid, most likely the former; it could be something from VOTOMs though.

Awesome little opening movie, didn't off everything though but still awesome to look at.
Re: Super Robot Wars Z 2
What are the dragonoid creatures? And did anyone else find Lagann's panting run chuckle-worthy?
