UPDATE 07/07/2007 Turn X (Custom Colors) and etc.

This is a color scheme based on the 1/144 Turn X model. Basically this color scheme is the "Turn A Gundam Colors" in order to match the Turn A Gundam as its brother unit. Just wanted to post this here for people to see. Any comments are welcome.

This is also an RX-78-3 Gundam G-3 that I just finished for the most part. All that's left is some minor touch-ups. This is based on the 1/144 HGUC RX-78-2 Gundam. Hope you enjoy.

Hehehe, I always wondered what that would look like.... I'm surprised you didn't paint the rear heel piece red also. 8)

This to me, just shows me that Syd Mead really knew what he was doing, cause... BAM.... it looks a little bit normal with this pain scheme.

What's REALLY strange is that if you paint a red trim to the outer edges of the backpack in addition to the color changes already made, you could get something VERY closely remembling the Zeta Gundam.

It still has IMHO the silliest-looking head design this side of G Gundam, but Turn-X in Gundam-style colors looks awesome - could be a great "good guy" MS, which is a very odd thought.

Updated the original post (and title) with an RX-78-3 Gundam G-3 I finished about half an hour ago. Enjoy. ^_^

The Turn X looks great. I would like to see a Turn A model side by side with it. Coupld pull off some neat poses with those two.

And the links for the G-3 dont work

Fixed the links. They should work now. Also, I'll be sure to post images of the Turn A Gundam and Turn X side-by-side soon.

Thanks, the G-3 looks good too. Ive never been a fan of the nigh-solid grey of the G-3 (needs more black) but yours makes it look very good. Especially with the sparkly/shiny blue. However you might want to paint the back of the shield, but IDK if its supposed to be white.
But it looks good (not as good as the Turn-x , but I just really like your Turn-X).
I look foward to seeing the X and A together.

I really had no idea the two designs were this similar looking until now.

Excellent job. The blue on the G-3 shield looks amazing. What company puts out that shade/glitteryness? I can see someone using that to spice up some space marines in Warhammer 40k.

That Blue is actually a Purple...(we tried to dim the flash, so the lighting looks weird) But it is a Metallic Purple Gundam marker, and I got mine at Gundam store and more http://www.gundamstoreandmore.com/gunmargunmet3.html . However their is a Metallic Blue that they sell which looks amazing, and for the price its cheap and worth it. I have gone through 3, 1/144 Gundams with these markers and their is still a lot of ink left, so they will last quite awhile.
