Holy ****. o__O

^--That was me censoring, BTW, not the automatic thing. :P

I just got a big order of gunpla stuff today, including, among other things, the EMSiA Sazabi and MG Crossbone Ver. Ka. -->those two being the items to which this topic refers.

Firstly, I have to voice my sheer amazement at how incredibly awesome the Sazabi is. For starters, it stands taller than my MG 1/100 F91! It's a monster. The plastic molding and paint job is ~ridiculously~ good. Does anyone know of the Nu EMSiA is of comparible quality?

I'm waiting a bit before I start the Crossbone... but so far I've looked it up and down (the box and instructions) and for he life of me I can't figure out how the Ver. Ka is different from the normal version. Hell, there's a more noticable difference between the OYW version RX-78-2 and the Ver. Ka RX-78-2. Could anyone enlighten me on the difference?

Oh, and I also grabbed a 1/400 Quin Mantha for $15... almost all the pieces are pre-painted and it looks fabulous, so if you don't have it already I really recommend you run over the plajapan or tisinc99 ASAP. :P

Gah, typo. *fixed*. They only make a 1/400 Quin Mantha. Or Queen Mansa.

I did grab the OYW 1/100 MG Gundam for about $25, though. :P

Since the Xbone was designed by katoki anyways, yes, you are gonna have one helluva hard time picking out the differences :P

Comparing the Xbone Ver.Ka to the base kit of the Xbone Fullcloth one will see that the Ver.Ka has a more 'realistic' looking skull in the chest, compared to the cartoony version in the FC. Also the head design is a bit different.

I won't be able to take any pictures of it 'till I have time to make it, and I have a giant russian history test eating away all of this week. :(

Dalong has pics though, and even though I can't read it it the review ~seems~ to be pretty good.

Looks pretty damn cool, but then again the models I make NEVER look as good as the one's the "pros" make.

I did have one question I forgot to ask about the Crossbone... anyone know a good way to cut the cloth? There doesn't seem to be a stencil or anything like that to make it easy, and I sure as hell don't want to mess this one up.

Take a look at the Crossbone section on here for the actual manga designs-they're much more bulbous, have points on the pylons, and several less realistic and more "manga pirate" style details (the skull's an obvious one in Skullheart configuration).

Full Cloth is still a Crossbone ver.Ka, just not a ver.Ka kit, like the later MG Balls, or MG GM Kai.

The Full Cross is a Katoki original design, that's why it doesn't need the "ver Ka" moniker since he didn't interpret someone else's design for it.
