Macross Frontier

Based on this series, this is going to be a good few years for you mecha fans out there.

The first episode of Macros Frontier aired recently and looks great. The animation is awesome. The character and mecha designs are solid. And the CG work looks even better than their work with Macross Zero.

Now coupled with Code Geass and Gundam 00, Macross Frontier looks to be a solid competitor. Of course it has only been the first episode so far and there's been little word on what the length of the series will be. I think those who have watched it will agree that it couldn't be as short as Zero, but it probably won't surpass 26 episodes.

I kinda hoped that the next Macross/Robotech project would be a new series from Harmony Gold on the Robotech side. But hey, Frontier looks to be worthy of any mecha enthusiast's attention.
