You didn't watch all the way to the end of the credits? :P

A hint to everybody who doesn't already do this: always watch the full credits all the way to the end in a movie. Movies Staff-s love to put stuff and tidbits there.

Anyway, I really don't know what that was supposed to mean, if anything. I guess they just did that because the F-91 had a "mask" like Iron Mask did?

Hmmm, well maybe the Iron Mask/F-91 cross thing at the end was supposed to signify something that Tomino had hoped to bring back in a sequel, and he just dropped it from the Crossbone Gundam manga later or something? *shrug*

And I'm sorry, but.....

The movie was the poison. The credits were the plate. XD

I like F-91...

Anyway, perhaps it's just meant to be a little image for the credits, symbolising the two sides of the conflict- the Gundam/Federation and Crossbone/Iron Mask

Aw, the F-91 hate is... I'll just say I liked the movie, but it felt like a series worth of material compressed into two hours with the actual ending cut off. Kind of because that's what it was....

Anyway, I'm guessing it was just some imagery used for the heck of it really. It's true that both the F91 and Corrozzo wear masks, but I'm not entirely sure if that has any significance. It just sort of looked cool.

Yeah, there really was no reason other than to be there and look cool.

Actually its more than just eye candy. As far as I remember, this is the first time I ever watched a Gundam (F-91) unmask itself. I always though that Gundam "mask" was build in and there's no reasons to take it off or something.

While for Corozzo, well... probably because Char Syndrome. We also seen a masked person in other Gundam Series as well such as in Gundam W.

For most Gundams the mask is built in and not designed to open. The exceptions as far as I know are the F91 and the Crossbone Gundams. The reason the masks open is to get rid of excess heat. Again, I can't think of any symbolic reason for them to be presented side by side like that.

The Shining Gundam from G Gundam also has a face mask that opens up. I'm pretty suer it's only for aesthetic purposes, but the official explanation is PROBABLY going to be for removing excess heat as well.
