November 4, UC 0063 : happy birthday Amuro Ray!

November 12th in the Universal Century:

UC 0083: The Gundam Dendrobium engages in battle with the Delaz Fleet. Later, Cima Garahau captures the bridge of the Gwaden and Aiguille Delaz is killed sometime after. The Peer Gynt is destroyed as the Gundam Dendrobium and the Neue Ziel battle.

The Federal Forces activate the Solar System II. Cima Garahau is later killed by Kou Uraki.

UC 0111: Reconstruction of Side 4 as the Frontier Side begins in L1.

A little late, but December 31st to January 1st, 0080 was a major event in UC 0079. The battle at A Boa A Qu happens. Degwin Sodo Zabi is killed when his flagship is hit by the Solar Ray. Gihren is killed by Kacyllia for such action. Later Kacyllia is killed by Char in a very morbid fashion.

At the cost of much of the Federal fleet, including the White Base and the Gundam, A Boa A Qu ends in victory for the Federation, and the Principality of Zeon surrenders. The Zeong is destroyed and Char Aznabel is MIA and/or assumed KIA. Renegades of the Zeon fleet hastily escape and preparations for a reconquista are begun.

Although it is unfortunate that we've missed a few dates, I would like to make an effort to keep this thing current. I will try to put an entry for every One Year War date from now on.

January 31st, U.C. 0079. The Antarctic Treaty is signed. All nuclear, biological, and chemical weapons are prohibited from deployment in battle. The sanctity of neutral colonies and lunar settlements are guaranteed.

General Revil returns to Earth. He delivers a morale-boosting speech declaring that the Principality of Zeon is "exhausted," and that their battle strength has reached its peak.

February 14, Cosmic Era 70

The Earth Alliance destroys the agricultural PLANT Junius 7 with a nuclear missile. Among the dead is the wife of Patrick Zala. The event becomes known as the Bloody Valentine Tragedy and its effects will be felt for years to come.

Lenore Zala's death becomes one of the primary reasons for Athrun Zala's enlistment in ZAFT and the ZAFT response to Bloody Valentine is the deployment of the N-Jammer technology which cuts off all nuclear power.

On this day future ZAFT aces Athrun Zala and Yzak Joule join ZAFT.

The MS-06F Zaku II is rolled out.

The Principaity of Zeon conducts its third invasion of Earth. Ground forces under the command of Garma Zabi land in North America in order to establish a base in which to attack Jaburo.

13 March UC0079

Zeon ground troops occupy and capture the Federation's California Base. They then make California Base the primary establishment for Zeon forces in North America.

ZAFT launches Operation Uroboros by scattering N-Jammers across Earth's surface, plunging the nations of the Earth Alliance into a severe energy crisis. Many thousands perish due to this lack of energy during the harsh winter of CE 70.
