Mecha Talk

I've had this ambition for a while, but was unable to do it due to random internet troubles. The starting entry is a day late, but I'll try to stay on task throughout the rest of the year. If I miss a date, you are welcome to add a date.
The only thing I ask is that we do our best to keep everything correct, and if something is non-cannon, at least have the courtesy to point it out. Also, if people would like to add their input, by all means, do so. Let's just keep everything organized, though.
If one wishes to include something from, say, the AC timeline, then label it properly; don't just say "::month and day:: Heero Yuy is assassinated;" it is of capital importance to include the series and appropriate universe, date, whether it is real life or an anime, etc. to keep this as clean cut and understandable to other users. In essence, try to follow this format.

March 11th: The Zeon's second drop operation has begun to land troops onto North America.

The F-model Zaku II is rolled out.

0088.03.14 Taskforce Alpha regroups with four ships from the Earth Orbital Fleet. The remaining four ships form Taskforce Beta.

UC 0088.03.17: Operation Eagle Fall. Taskforces Alpha and Beta descend on Ayers City.

UC 0123.03.16: Crossbone Vanguard MS attack the Frontier Side (L1). More than 500 inhabitants of Frontier IV are killed and 140,000 become refugees.

The Crossbone Vanguard proclaim the establishment of Cosmo Babylonia at Frontier IV. It is protected from Federation interference by an alliance with the Jupiter Energy Fleet, which threatens an embargo if Cosmo Babylonia is not left alone.

A day late, but might as well start throwing in some Cosmic Era trivia.

The Argama returns to La Vie en Rose. The Endra crew is transferred to the Mindora. Ayers City mayor Kaiser Pinefield surrenders to the EFF. Twenty-eight New Decides officers escape to an orbital mass catcher, from whence Neo Zeon’s Twanning fleet rescues them. New Decides leader Brave Cod killed in action.

April 1st in the Universal Century:

UC 0062: Zeon Elite Force Academy in Side 3 founded.

UC 0079: The Earth Federation launches the V Project and the Vinson Plan, thus kickstarting R&D into mobile weapons. Mobile suit factories and training facilities begin development.

UC 0088: The Neo Zeon Endra-class cruiser Mindra uses a captured launch to transport a camouflaged AMX-107 Bawoo in an infiltration attempt.

April 1st in the Cosmic Era:

CE -16 (16 years prior to the start of the CE calendar): George Glenn is born

CE 70: ZAFT scatters N-Jammers across the Earth's surface as part of Operation Uroboros. The nations of the Earth Alliance are plunged into an energy crisis in what becomes known as the "April Fool Crisis".

CE 71: Patrick Zala elected chairman of PLANT Supreme Council. On the same day, he proposes Operation Spit Break to complete the effects of Operation Uroboros. The proposal is approved before the end of the day.

April 2nd in the Universal Century:

UC 0079: Zeonic forces in the Middle East advance toward the Sinai Peninsula.

UC 0088: The Pegasus III begins a lone pursuit of the escaping New Desides. The Pegasus III is fired upon by the Twanning Fleet.

While the Twanning Fleet keeps the Pegasus III occupied, Tosh Cray leads the New Desides, using the AMA-100 Zodiac mobile armor, to capture the Penta LEO relay station.

UC 0104: Terrestrial-based Federation Forces are reinforced. Terrestrial ManHunter organizations and efforts to expose illegal residents are strengthened.

April 2nd in the Cosmic Era:

CE 70: The Battle of Carpentaria commences. ZAFT drops a dissasembled military base from orbit on the Gulf of Carpentaria to begin construction of Carpentaria Base.

Garrod Ran uses the satellite cannon for the first time wiping out a horde of vultures trying to get capture his newly acquired GX-9900 Gundam X.
As a result Tiffa Adil is sent into a coma of sorts from the backlash of feeling all the ones killed by the blast.
