Translation for Zeta's second OP's Title?

What is 水の星へ愛をこめて exactly? "Mizu no hoshi e ai wo komete" is said to be "From the Aqueous Star With Love", but "e" is to... so what is the actual title, people proficient in Japanese?

Aqueous is an adjective, but の indicates a possessive for nouns, so it's saying that the stars somehow belong to the water. Writing it down literally like that doesn't feel exactly right, though, and particles can be tricky, so Aqueous might be something totally valid anyways.

Also, I've seen 星 translated as "planet", too - for example, that's how they say The Planet in FFVII. So is might be that? Talking about Earth, perhaps, in which case I really like the poetic sound of "To the Aqueous Planet With Love".

When is it planet and when is it star, and why?

No idea! Like many things in Japanese, it's likely a context thing, especially since the "planet" use of it could be poetic license (my dictionary doesn't list "planet" as a translation), and probably more along the lines of "celestial body" than "planet" anyways. But it seems to be pretty common - just Google "星 as planet" and you'll see what I mean.

I've actually been curious about that for a while, so I'm interested to see what some of the really fluent people around here have to say.

It's a context issue.

For the record, 星 (pronounced either "hoshi" or "sei") doesn't just mean star, but any light-emitting celestial body, and tends to get partnered with other words to refer to all sorts of stellar objects - "ryuusei" (流星), for example, means meteor.

For the record, the specific word for planet is "wakusei" (惑星). In fact, the Japanese names of the planets in our Solar System are made by combining "sei" with the element with which scholars associated the planet - Mars is "Kasei" (fire star), and Mercury is "Suisei" (water star). This even extends to fiction - Namek, home to Dragon Ball's Piccolo and extremely long stretches of filler, is rendered as "Namek-Sei" (ナメック星).
