I find it hard to believe they would dump Furuya and Ikeda. Everyone else is a crapshoot. Furukawa is still really active, so he might be up for returning (and affordable). Narita just joined and Genda seems to be the official Dozle relacement, so I think they could be safe. Everyone else might be considered too old, even Iizuka!

That's the same image posted above, though. I'm not really personally concerned that this isn't going to happen, but that's not really an official announcement. I'll start getting REALLY pumped when we start seeing character art, more specific production details, and trailers.

Those sorts of things wouldn't come out until the end of this year, though. :P

But yeah, I'd err on the side of caution with this news, too. Japan typically says absolutely nothing about a project until a month before it actually comes out.

Technically they already have said something... all the way back in 2011...

Given the massive amount of backlash surrounding AGE at the time, it's quite possible that this might turn out to have been a very exceptional case.

Personally though, I really can't bring myself to give two craps until we start to see things in way of, you know, an actual production.

Hold on guys...

And there we have it, so we can stop speculating what MS are going to be in it and who's going to be recast, because we're back where we started, which is nowhere.

- At the end of the stage appearence, Ikeda shared he looks forward to the last Gundam UC episode 7 that is set to be released in Spring 2014. He also surprised the attendees by announcing that 2014 will be the 35th anniversary of Mobile Suit Gundam, and he look forward to meeting with them again with the animated release of Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin.

Well, I don't think a guy like Ikeda would say something that blatant if it wasn't true after a fashion. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
