Mobile Suit Gundam: Advanced Operation

Post by Neo-Era » Sat Aug 25, 2007 4:14 am

Hi ho! I've been playing this PC98 game for the past couple of weeks and noticed some discrepancies between the MS in the game and what's on MAHQ's listing so I put together a complete list of mobile weapons for it.

The MS-06D's and MS-06M's names are different in the game than what I've listed them as here but given that the English names used in game are prone to misspellings, I gave them the benefit of the doubt that they meant the more well-known MS with those same model numbers.

Nice listing indeed!
Concerning this video game, I would like to know if what I've read somewere is true, i.e. that:
1) this game is settled during UC 0089;
2) the mecha designer is Kazuhisa Kondo (which is rather obviously implied by the presence of MSs as Goblin G-3 and many other units borrowed from The Revival of Zeon) but manual MS illutrations are by Masafumi Matsuura
Thank you in advance

So RGM-79U is the official version of Aqua GM? It is part of Harmony, right?
My girlfriend was a loli.

The "Harmony of Gundam" version of the Aqua GM is labeled RAG-79. This is probably just a different design with the same name - most likely, as bilbros says, Kazuhisa Kondo's version. The "Harmony of Gundam" version is the only one that could really be considered official, or at least Sunrise-approved.

It at least begins in December UC 0089. Not quite sure how long a timespan it covers mainly because of one cutscene in the middle of the game where you see Fed officials watching a video of Char with his CCA look. Seems kind of early for that but CCA also gets referenced with the appearance of certain MS and a mention of Londo Bell.

Don't know about the manual since I've been doing this through the magic of emulation and there don't seem to be any in-game credits. The long skirt armors in the game certainly scream Kondo. =)
