The shield is labeled "exclusive use", but the rifle isn't. I don't think this rifle has shown up with any of the other Gundam U.C. mecha yet, though.
The same Gundam Ace spread that had these images has a neat shot of how the rifle's e-pack is removed/replaced - it looks like it might be five e-packs (of the type used by the GP01, Hazel, Mk.II, Zeta, etc.) chained together with a handle attached to the end.

I labeled the shield as a custom type, since generally that's how the term has been tossed around in Gundam.

I don't think that's always the best option, though. If you automatically translate sen'you as "custom" then the Elmeth becomes a "Newtype custom mobile armor". It might be better simply to omit it in translation, giving us "Char's Zaku", "Newtype mobile armor", and "Unicorn shield".

Given by what I've seen on some posting on 2chan and what not, apparently it is a custom shield for the Unicorn Gundam, but I'm holding off until I can see the actual magazine myself to make that determination. I labeled it as custom in the instance of using that term with Char, considering that a majority of his things were 'custom'. Stretching it a tad, perhaps, but in this case and some of the information "presented" it can go either way.

Oh MAN, the Unicorn looks awesome. That shield and beam rifle are so freakin' sweet. And Loto's tank mode looks pretty sweet too.

I fixed up the Loto some, using the art on the official site for color correction and fixing some of the details.

Erm....On Loto's Profile is says it's based on the Guntank R-44 which is from UC 110s.....But isn't the Loto and the Unicorn from 0096?

The Unicorn looks very much like a Stargazer Version of Jegan.... There is also something 'bout it's designation and look that reminds me of the Turn A in terms of presence....very mystical.

And the Loto looks like something that isn't from Gundam....I don't know what though, but it looks dangerous.

The information in the R-44 profile is outdated. In one of our Unicorn discussion threads, there's extensive discussion about how the R-44 is the predecessor of the Loto.

In this post, which seems to be the most comprehensive commentary on the subject, the conclusion is "All of this makes it seem less likely that the Guntank R-44 could be the ancestor of a machine that's already in service as of U.C. 0096." While the MS design in Unicorn is obviously inspired by the MS design in F91, it seems like it was meant to be a mech produced before the R-44, which later led to the machine which was preserved in the museum until 0123.

Looks like it's meant to be using the Geara Doga Heavy Weapons Type's equipment.
Since the scan had all three images at approximately equal scale anyway, and it was easy enough to make the standard and command Zulus line up with each other in their images, I put together a custom image of Angelo's unit without all that equipment, using the details from the standard commander's Zulu.

It looks like those are the same CG renders of the Delta that were published alongside the new line art in Gundam Ace:

So I guess the Delta Gundam is a MS Graphica original design that also appears in Gundam Ace FIX? I suppose it can't quite be considered to have "appeared" in Unicorn yet, since its description states that it's still unknown whether it was constructed. Still, now that there's this official design art, I think it should have a profile; at the very least it would be useful to link in the profiles for the Zeta and Hyaku Shiki.

With the release of the Master Grade Unicorn Gundam, I've got some fresh Unicorn art. Now, these are cleaned up versions of the Master Grade design for the RX-0, which is NOT the same as the novel version previously published in Gundam Ace and Hobby Japan. There are changes to the panel lines and detailing throughout, but most notably the forearms have been completely redesigned, probably to make the conversion to Destroy Mode more mechanically feasible.
