How about Fullmetal Alchemist? I think that it counts as a sci-fi and as an anime. It is a great series.

I wouldn't consider it sci-fi at all. More a fantasy type. That and any mecha are at best WWI tanks.

It all depends on your definition of mecha; following the Japanese definition, even things like the automail, and possibly even Al himself, would be mecha.

I don't know if this will be taken seriously, but maybe we should have a Big O section. After all, the Megadeuses and the other robots are technically mecha. Plus, it's one of my personal favorites.

I suggested FMA because it does seem sci-fi-ish. I mean, Alchemy was a science and this show was about a science but it was fictional so I thought it would count as a sci-fi. I was also thinking the tanks, automail, planes (see movie) would count as mecha. Also, the entire series and the movie are already released in the U.S. so I thought that It would be a good suggestion.

Didn't you already suggest FMA once?
Anyways, if its not already put into consideration I would like to see a Zegapain section.

Perhaps a section on movies? For animes that never really went past the movie stage? Like the Appleseed OVA, Appleseed movie, Outlander, etc.,..

Well, Dunbine is kinda more fantasy-ish...

MAHQ had Outlaw Star section. It was removed in April of this year, as Chris noted in an update at that time.
On April 1st, 2006, MAHQ wrote: On the subject of reviews, it's time for a bit of housecleaning. Out with the old and in with the new is what the cliche says, right? With that in mind, two dead sections are saying their farewells today: Vampire Princess Miyu and Outlaw Star. It's not often we remove sections, but we decided that those two were excess baggage and would not be updated any further.

Seconding King Gainer for review, and a mecha section for completeness--not that many Overmen & Silhouette Machines to list down...

Any opinion on Demonbane? All I seen is main mech itself, which look very interesting (Ok, I also seen the cutie loli Al Azif and that's real reason ). From little searching, it's heavily based-on Cthulhu mythos and original work was a hentai game. Though there are also non-ero version of game (which also port to PS2) and the anime isn't hentai (though fan service still exist).
In short it's mecha+Japanize Cthulhu Mythos+Hentai (oop, minus the last one). So I think it sound interesting.

As has been stated already in this thread and on the main site, Evangelion will never be reviewed on MAHQ. To future posters, please don't mention Evangelion.

DarkUnicorn wrote: Can you repeat me why? MAHQ.net FAQs wrote: Evangelion Q: Will you make a section for Neon Genesis Evangelion? A: No. It's not that we don't like Evangelion, but it's been covered on many other sites in the last few years. We prefer to cover series here that are not as well known and haven't been covered to death everywhere.
