Make sense. IIRC, aside from Ecrevisse (from Big Battle), te name of Balarant' AT are codename given by Gilgamesh, so all of them have somewhat silly name.

Yeah, except that the AT page of the Pailsen Files section on the official VOTOMS site says "Chabby" in English.

Yeah, but the katakana for that "a" is used for english's "ah" AND "uh" -- so while both are equally defensible romanizations, one makes perfect sense and one is totally meaningless. Obviously the "Chabby" name on the VOTOMS site is a Japanglish error. It's patently obvious.

Would I be completely ignorant for not seeing how "ビー" and "ビィー" even produce different sounds? The latter seems more of a weird spelling flourish, and doesn't really address what the OP's asserting anyway. In any case, OP, I see where you're coming from but MAHQ generally hews toward official romanizations even if a different rendering seems to make more logical sense to English speakers. That's why Dear Leader linked to the official site and left it at that

Fair enough. I see the logic in what you're saying. I'll drop it. Thanks!
