Mecha Talk

Hey everyone, its first posting and I'm happy to be here.

I really enjoyed the sci-fi discusion from this episode. I liked how they touched on the fact that gundam uses real world technology and that everything is at least theoretical. I watched this special on the History chanel way back on weird weapons. It's no secret that Hitler was obsessed in discovering some superweapon that could end the war in a single blow. Well one of these wierd weapons drawn up by Nazi scientists was the solar system that Tomino had the Federation use on Zeon. This use of "real" tech,in my opinion, is one of the key factors in what makes Gundam great.

just listened to this episode: Anyways if you want darker Star Wars check out the New Jedi Order book series. In the first book Chewbacca dies and goes into a depression, and just when he starts getting out of it his youngest child is killed as well.
