Just wondering, but are you just recording the show as usual or will you broadcast live and record it as it goes?

Well it's a 45-50 minute drive to Orlando from Brevard County so I was only planning on going Sunday. I will be getting there, hopefully an hour early so i can get a good seat. I'm hoping I can say hi before you guys start the show. BTW how big is the room where you guys are gonna be doing this?

It won't be the normal format, except for the topic portion. Think of it as Gundam: Special Convention edition.

It's a shame my country is just too awesome to leave, so I can't be there. Naturally I'll listen to the pod cast when it's released though.

I can't make heads or tails of the floor plan they have at their website. I don't suppose you guys could give me GOOD directions from the entrance to room S330B?

Sorry for the double post but since no one else has posted here yet...
Wow, that was FUN! Soul Bro, about the the tech problems? By definition if you're not allowed to fail, you can't succeed. You'll have it all sorted out by that next con in August
I enjoyed meeting you guys in person and, once my brother comes back from Idaho and squeal in delight at his little Cloud cycle from FF7:AC, I'll have him ring up and personally thank you since your $10 off coupon helped shave some of the cost off that.
I think my favorite part was when you guys asked, how many people have heard of Char Aznable? Buncha people, including me, raise their hands. Now who's better, Zechs or Char? I believe the acclimations for Char were overwhelming although I think the girl next to me shouted Zechs!
Anyway, here are the pictures I took while I was there, have at 'em.

Wanna know how much that Ghostbusters' uniform cost? Two thousand dead Presidents. I am not joking.

Lemme take a shot at this... from left to right, Soul Bro, Chris and Neo right?
For the record, I think Zechs is cooler than Char.

First off, thanks infinite to those who came out and supported us from the loyal listeners and regulars here at Mechatalk.net to every new pair of ears who took the time to come out and see what we had to offer. There were some technical difficulties in the beginning, leaving us unable to record for the first 12-14 mins of the panel, once they were solved, the rest of the show rolled on without a hitch.
Areus wrote: LOL What I saw was good.... The last ten mins... Guess I miss read the event time in the con-cuild. Ohh well maybe next year/con? Another cat missed it too, but after I informed him about Daylight Savings, it all made sense. He had just arrived as we we packing up our equipment, thinking that it was still 11am. I felt bad for him, and what sucked worse was that Megacon weekend would have to fall at the time when we lose an hour. I'm not sure if this screwed with your schedule too, but if it did, man, I am really sorry. It was a pleasure meeting you after the AMV contest, though, and if everything pulls through for the panel at "Anime Festival Orlando 9" (August 15-17), I hope you'll be able to check us out entirely then. We also have a live session coming up at "Yasumi-Con 2008" (August 1-3) two weeks prior, so if you can make it down to South Florida, we'll see you there! I'm glad I had the chance to talk to you too after everything was said and done, and you have no idea how much it means to have someone come all of that way in part to see something that I was involved in. You guys are good people and with any luck we'll be able to do it all again (and better, even) in August at AFO9. Stay tuned with more developments on that in the weeks to come! Save for that one girl with the love jones for Zechs (j/k), I was truly surprised at the reaction to my Char Vs. Zechs question, thinking that the majority of the crowd would prefer my buddy Milliardo over His Holy Dopeness, Casval Rem Daikun, himself. I was pleased to see that wasn't true, but at the same time, it showed me, that even if most of the audiences' experience with Gundam was mostly due to Gundam, the impact of Char Aznable on anime itself is strong enough to impress even anime fans & Gundam Neophytes. ^_^ By the way, thanks for taking pics, man! I only wish that I had a camera on stage to take a shot of the crowd that we had. At best, I was thinking that we would only fill up a third of the room, but instead almost 80 percent of the seats were filled! I feel like Beck when they blew the roof off at Greatful Sound! Lucky for them, they didn't have any equipment issues... But despite that, your country will always be cool in my book because you guys helped with the Underground Railroad. That, and for Bob & Doug Mackenzie. You hoser. ^_^ thehod wrote: I would love to come by and give my thoughts on Gundam. I also hope you guys can autograph and take pictures as well.
Dude, you are digable planets! Not only did you come, but you brought us a model of greatest ship for the baddest captain since Morgan, Bright Noah. The Argama model was awesome, and the props you get from me for that are endless.
-----------------------------------
In closing, I was really worried about our first live-and-in-person podcast, but thanks to everyone involved including the awesome folks that came out, this episode was better than I could ever imagine.
Episode 10 will drop either tomorrow or Tuesday, btw, I promise. Now that the con is over and I'm back to my senses, I can get back on the ball.
Until the next live show, ganbatte', gang!

Man Bright Noa is the Wedge Antilles of Gundam and only in Zeta can you have two of the baddest pimps on the Same ship! Plus no pimp can be without his Bright-Slap.
Im glad you enjoy the Argama. I got it as a 2 for 1 deal and got the 2nd to be built. Tell you the truth, I built the Argama while listening to the last Gundamn!. Nothing helps build your models than listening to you guys, all I and the rest of the fans ask is to keep up the good work.
The discussion on the future of Gundam was very illuminating and not to spoil anything but very good discussion barring the technical difficulties (even in the year 2008 nothing works).

If you mean that being Canadian means I'm a hardcore peace advocate, you're wrong. I just like Zech's style more. He has better mobile suits and is just downright sexier than Char is.
While I understand why everyone worships the ground Char walks on, I've never been that big a fan of his. I also think Nanai was the perfect match for him, so that might just be me being different.
And of course you all know my favourite CHAR is Rau.

I just want thank everyone who was able to attend our panel at Megacon. It was great meeting and speaking with all of you. And congratulations to all those who won the raffle prizes. The Crossroad Crew was represented well. Hopefully, we'll able to meet more of you in the future.
P.S. The photos from the convention should be posted soon.

I hope I can make it to the next convention where you guys are at.

It seems I joined the community a little too late.
I had no idea of the Gundam 'presence' in Orlando. I attend the University of Central Florida and the week of the convention just so happened to be the week of our Spring Break, so I was back home in Jacksonville. A shame too, it seemed to have been quite the event.

You know I've always wondered why there are so many Gundam fans out in Florida? Out in the south west I find myself lucky to even find someone who knows the series beyond its three well known AUs.
