Over the summer DARPA successfully tested a steerable bullet designed to make more accurate. One novel use for the system Innis(former US Marine scout sniper) foresees is having a robotic setup holding and aiming the actual rifle. All a spotter would do is paint the target. Because the spotter would no long need to be shoulder-to-shoulder with a shooter, the auditory and visual signature of a shot fired wouldn't give up his location.

Shoji Kawamori and Hiroyuki Gotō to Give Seminar On Animation

Scheduled to appear at the seminar is Macross franchise creator Shoji Kawamori, alongside Satelight 3D CGI designer Hiroyuki Goto. Mr. Goto, who will be speaking on February 8 at 10:30AM, will be giving a lecture titled "Deciding to Work In 3DCG," which will discuss what to expect in that field of work, as well as describing the various tasks that one will deal with while overseeing 3DCG creation during a project.

Mr. Kawamori, who will be delivering his lecture later the same day at 2:00PM, will be discussing "The Frame of Mind for Creating Something Original," drawing from his experience working in script writing, mechanic design, concept art, and more in projects such as The Super Dimension Fortress Macross, Genesis of Aquarion, and Eureka Seven.

The official website for the Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet anime unveiled the theatrical teaser trailer and visual for the second and final volume of the original video animation (OVA) Suisei no Gargantia: Meguru Kōro, Haruka on Saturday. The trailer features the new character Reema, voiced by Inori Minase. It also notes that Kousuke Toriumi and Takahiro Sakurai are joining the cast, but their characters have not been revealed yet.
