Full Metal Panic Light Novels Sell 10 Million+

The Japanese publishier Fujiimi Shobo revealed on Thursday that the Full Metal Panic! series of light novels has sold over 10 million copies. The spinoff series Full Metal Panic! Another will continue with its third volume on March 17.

Gundam W's Lady Une Voice Actress Sayuri Passes Away

Voice actor Nobuyuki Kobushi and The Simpsons Fan Club of Japan reported that voice actress Sayuri passed away on March 6 due to cancer. Her agency Production Agumi is handling inquiries on her services.

Her many roles included Lady Une in Mobile Suit Gundam Wing and The Simpsons' Japanese dub voice of Itchy and Maude Flanders. She played Nanako Ohara in the Crayon Shin-chan, Ikumi Kaidō in GaoGaiGar: King of Braves, and "Twilight" Suzuka in Outlaw Star.

Life-Size VF-25, Stage Musical Celebrate 30 Years of Macross

The Macross 30th anniversary project's website announced on Friday that a 1/1-scale model of a VF-25F Messiah Valkyrie variable fighter (in the intermediate GERWALK mode) will appear at the "30th Anniversary Macross Super Dimension Exhibition ~Valkyrie de Sasotte!~" event from April 28 to May 6. The website also announced that a real-life "Miss Macross 30" contest, a stage musical with new material, and a museum display of the franchise's designs are being planned.

It may sound like the work of a joker but a real-life Batman is preparing to patrol the streets of crime-ridden Brazilian city, Taubaté.

But this Lycra-clad vigilante might be more of a match for 1960s actor Adam West rather than Christian Bale as the man in a batsuit is party entertainer André Luiz Pinheiro, 50.
The inspiration for his new role appears to be as much inspired by his fondness for dressing as Batman for children's parties than a hatred of crime.

The official website for the Japanese rock band ViVid revealed on Thursday that the band will perform the third opening theme song "Real" for the Mobile Suit Gundam AGE television anime series. The band will release its fifth single, which will include "Real," on May 16.

CG Starship Troopers: Invasion Video Trailer Streamed

The IGN entertainment website began streaming a 77-second trailer for the Japanese-animated Starship Troopers: Invasion video project this weekend.

The new film draws design cues from Paul Verhoeven's loose 1997 live-action film adaptation of Robert A. Heinlein's original novel. Shinji Aramaki (Appleseed) is directing the new film, which is due out in summer 2012.

Flint Dille is writing the screenplay for the film after working as a story editor on The Transformers and G.I. Joe television series of the 1980s. The staff commissioned illustrator Hidetaka Tenjin (Macross Frontier, Macross Zero, Hellsing Ultimate) to create a teaser poster for the film. Joseph Chou (Appleseed films, Halo Legends, proposed live-action Evangelion) is producing the new project. Edward Neumeier and Casper Van Dien of the live-action Starship Troopers film are executive producers.

Danball Senki franchise officially releases in North America on 2013

To sum up & translate the article:
-Although announced on August 2011, it is official now that the popular Danball Senki (Referred to as Little Battler Experience in NA) release will be in full effect as of 2013.

- Dentsu Entertainment USA will overlook business side of things

- Bandai America will be selling merchandise such as the role-playing game, toys, model kits

- Anime adaptation will also be airing on 2013

- Europe will also get it on the fall of 2013.

* For those of you not familiar, the game was developed and published by Level-5, famous for the Professor Layton series, Ni no Kuni, White Knight Chronicles 1 and 2, Dragon Quest XIII and IX, and the soccer RPG Inazuma Eleven to name a few. The CEO Hino Akihiro is also the man who pitched Gundam AGE and now is the main writer for it.

* Danball Senki is a RPG where you can control a small robot called an LBX. The core gameplay is an RPG with a combat system like that of the third-person Gundam action games. You can customize your LBX by swiping parts as well as the internal guts to boost HP, defense, speed, etc.
