I guess Soul Bro has a little leg to stand on in his Xbox vs. PS3 bout now that Sony just released that the hacker that brought down PSN probably has all your personal information. Including your credit card info.

Re: Neo's News - Listener Submitted News Articles MK II
Hi guys,
I'm a long-time listener and mostly a forum lurker, but here's some interesting news:
Gundam Unicorn FINALLY Gets a US DVD release:
http://store.bandai-ent.com/product_p/669198200564.htm
The First volume contains episodes 1 and 2 and will have both language tracks along with some extras. As I can't afford a Blu-Ray player, this is a god-send.
Release Scheduled for: 6-7-11
Gundam 00 Movie has US DVD and Blu-Ray release Date
http://store.bandai-ent.com/product_p/669198804496.htm
An earlier post mentioned the release but I don't believe it gave the date. It is scheduled for 7-5-2011
Thanks guys.

Re: Neo's News - Listener Submitted News Articles MK II
In what clearly is a product of the dark advice of Evil Soul Bro, a 60 year old Gunpla Otaku hid his mother's corpse so that he could use her $80,000 pension to buy Gundam and other assorted model kits:
http://www.sankakucomplex.com/2011/05/0 ... buy-plamo/
Apparently, he kept the corpse in a plastic bag tucked away in his kitchen shelf for 3 years - I guess if no body is ever found, they just assume she's alive and keep mailing those checks (straight into her son's account no less!).
As disgusting as this is, I can kind of understand why he would heed Evil Soul Bro's sick whisperings and do this; those perfect grades can get pretty expensive.

Does robo-boxing count as mecha news?
I say "yes," and thus leave you this article (complete with trailer) about a robo-boxing movie named Real Steal:
http://insidemovies.ew.com/2011/05/10/r ... h-jackman/
As the title of the article says, I guess Hugh Jackman is in it and that's a big deal?
Probably would have been a better movie idea if they were 1/60 scale robo-gunpla with high powered weaponry, but hey this is America and we like cute, underdog, remote-controlled, boxing robots (apparently).
********
Also, have some 1:1 Zaku MK2 Helmet pictures courtesy of Kotaku:
http://kotaku.com/5801506/beautiful-sta ... /gallery/1
You have to see the video at the bottom of the original Japanese article kotaku referenced:
http://gigazine.net/news/20110512_zaku_head_shs50/
Don't miss the mono-eye powering up!
I'm no filthy, spacenoid-scum lovin', rebel apologist, but damn that looks really fantastic.
****
More of the 1/1 Zaku head along with more upcoming kits at the booth, this time from animenewsnetwork; you'll want to watch both this and the previous video as they're both definitely worthy of your time:
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/interes ... hobby-show
The video is worth a complete watch for the interviews alone and while 00 represents most of what I hate about Mecha shows with the passion of a thousand burning suns, the 00 kits that were showcased look great and I want them as much as Evil Soul Bro wants to murder Tachikomas.

Some genius decided to make a Mecha Periodic table of elements, titled rather appropriately, "The Periodic Table of Giant Robots! And Pretty Big Robots And Kinda small robots:"
http://www.sankakucomplex.com/2011/05/1 ... nt-robots/
Don't you wish you had this in school to study for Chemistry instead of the ultra-boring normal version?
Needless to say, Scandium suddenly happens to be my new favorite element.

Gundam Fight!!!
Hi guys, I don't know if you guys have seen or heard about this. You probably do, but just in case.
This is what I have heard when listening to a recent podcast from Anime Addicts Anonymous talking about the podcaster's recent trip to Japan. One of the gals get the chance to play a Gundam arcade game inside what looks like a cockpit. It remind me of a recent Gundamn podcast featuring the Gundam Round-up! on 'Model Suit Gunpla Builders Beginning G' where you all talk about how wonderful it is if a game that exist in the anime would come true.
It looks like we are almost there. Check out the video link above!!!

Re: Neo's News - Listener Submitted News Articles MK II
Was there any real doubt? Gundam is apparently Bandai-Namco's most lucrative license by an impressive margin according to siliconera.com:
http://www.siliconera.com/2011/05/15/ye ... last-year/
The article goes on to talk about how how various other Bandai-Namco properties performed, but what is truly interesting about it is the handy chart they included.
Just look at their 2009 numbers; I thought One Piece was huge, but it has *nothing* on the Gundam Juggernaut.
This is good news for me, since it's only a matter of time before a sympathetic pro-Titans ova (in the same vein as filthy spacenoid propaganda garbage MS IGLOO) is released to finally milk my demographic for all the money we have, further inflating that sales figure.
Still waiting on my Titans pilot jacket and shades, Bandai.

If it is Gundam, then why the heck have they stopped their same old deal on giving the US or other territories limited gaming stuff.
Just to throw a comment in on that.
