So I'm part of Team Neo huh.
I always did say before it takes a Mu La Flaga to make the Hawk of Endymion :P

And Chiaki gave some interesting answers.
Thanks for answering well one question that Dollow also kind of asked.

And as for the voice actor trivia Soul Bro can probably attest how much I know :P

Chris on the Portugese and Brazilian thing my dad is the same, I am 1/2 Portugese myself and I can pick up small bits of it, but Brazillians speed it up.

Portugese well in dad's case he just speaks it loud and kind of clear.

Anyway piece of trival info for one of the members of Team Neo.

Also Michael Sinterniklas does the voice of one of the Zeon forces, not Full Frontal though.
It's more like spelt

Sin-ter-Nick-lass.

Just put it in for Neo so he doesn't mangle it all the time.:P

Finally on the squatting vs normal toilets.
I remember once on a flight to UK one of the stopovers in Bahrain had those, so I ended up waiting until got back up in the air and level out ect.

Put off using those things for a reason.

Another great podcast and great responses from Chiaki.

No matter how many times I hear or read it, I'm still surprised about the level of racism over there against the Chinese and the Koreans. The younger generation is getting better the the older folks are still "set in their ways."

I agree, it will be good to see that fade out over time as the older bitter generations die off and all that.

I think that's true in every country now.

I don't think you should be surprised. In every country there are groups of people who hate other people for no good reason, and as their generation dies off, the younger and more sensible generation takes over without those prejudices.

I really got a kick out of this episode, Chiaki was funny and imformative. A special thank you to her from all of us for stopping by.

I seriously started laughing so hard at different points in this show it hurt.

I do have one question, is the fact that the 2 biggest segments in the show were devoted to porn and toilets reflect anything about Chris, Neo, and Soul Bro......probably

I'm not even that surprised, especially when they just had an anti-Chinese protest for supporting claims of some certain disputed island, and the lack of response from the current Japanese government (saw the news this morning from Hong Kong news). The worst part of the discrimination in Japan is that the inferiority complex has been around for a long, long time (exemplified by over a hundred thirty years since the Sino-Japan Wars), and the fact that the Japanese government has still refused to apologize to China and other territories for their military actions during World War II enhanced the racism between them.

This was probably my fave episode to date! I love Chiaki, and I almost wish she was a regular on Gundamn! Neo, Soul Bro and Chris should definitely ask her to come back on the show after she comes back from Japan again!

I got all my questions answered in the mailbag and the segment, the episode was funny as hell, I couldn't be happier! I can even give a pass to the fact that Chris corrected my use of the word "Gaijin" in my question! (It's Chris after all, I would expect nothing less!)

Porn and toilets are two very important things.

She already is back. She was "in studio" with Neo and Soul Bro in Orlando.

It was nice to get some female input up in this sausage fest :P Definitely think it'd be worth finding a Ms Gundamn for the show! :D

It was a fun listen. I hope Chiaki comes back again sometime in the future.

Now there is an idea, even if she isn't a regular on Gundamn would be interesting to have a sort of regular female opinion on the show.

I saw a show on Travel channel a few years back and they showed a toilet in Tokyo with all these Star Trek toilets. I was amazed what could be done with a toilet and am encouraged about the future of toilets. Toilets are something we all need, why not bring them into the 21st century.

It's more so annoying when some countries think holes in the ground count as toilets I mentioned from my stop over once in Bahrain.

The modern toilets are more sannitary and hygenic. :P

okay maybe I'll buy that, but it still doesn't explain your desperate need to learn about the Japanese porn industry.

Great episode. Love to have a perspective on Japanese culture other than anime.

Some Straight Talk Express back to you guys: I hope you got the MD Geist "Culture" thing out of your system with this episode, because it's getting stale.

????

If you're gonna troll, you better know what you're talking about.

"Culture" is not from MD Geist.

Sorry this long to write as I have been busy, and I wanted to do this right.

First this was very fun ep having Chiaki on the whole show and it was nice to have a female podcaster on the show. This was an informative episode from toilets and KFC to Japanese relations to the west and countries around them, what struck me about this episode most was how some Japanese just love things that are of Western culture, that’s is a really flip for me, never would have guess that.

This whole subject seems like one big Macross fest as we look at the Japanese and Western culture exchange, how things relate to one another; and how someone would feel if put into a place that they would have to deal with, in term of being outside of their “Comfort Zone” in another country.

But I must say when it came down to the Chris wanting to know about the porn industry; that was really weird. I can believe in Neo’s love for “The Almighty” toilet; but the whole need to know about Japanese Porn really made me wonder what the big deal is? I guess it’s just me but the porn? Do we really need to know about that? :?

To Chiaki: When you said “I want to go to Japan, make this happen.” When you said if you told that to someone enough times they will start listening, don’t tell that to the “Hopers & Dreamers” and the Trolls, you might give them ideas. LOL.

The way anime is looked at in Japan does not surprise me since it is more common place, it’s sort of like how superheroes are in the U.S.; they have been around so long that it is part of everyday culture, Gundam seems like its the same way in Japan.

I am honored that Neo would let me become a member of “Team Neo”, but I cannot help feeling that I have become part of a secret Anti-Twilight movement. I do have a question about the team Neo, what do you need us do you aside from hating the “Cult of Crossroad”?

Chiaki thank you for coming on the show, hope you come back. Great show as always with the ep, editing is very good on this, loving it.

Keep up the good work.

B. T. W.

The amount of times culture was said in the episode,
Total: 40 1/2
Chiaki: 25 1/2
Neo: 2
SBR: 1
Chris: 1
Dennis: 11

It's called b.s.ing and asking offbeat things just for the hell of it. I don't know why people think it's so odd. It's not a big deal, folks.
